The secret base was too sinister. This was why Kevin didn't want to tell her about the exact location. It was in a jungle, deep in the mountains of City A. The moment Nacy got the address, she immediately took Mandy there.

They were driving along the crooked road. The twigs and branches swayed around the area so that everything looked the same. They would've gotten lost if not for Nacy's excellent sense of direction. On the way, she called Kevin to get more updates on the base's address.

Deep in the jungle, a small building with two floors covered the largest area. Surrounding the two entrances were two rows of bodyguards.

When Nacy's car approached the secret base, the bodyguards immediately surrounded the car, hands on their guns. They all were dressed in black. Nacy and Mandy shivered at the sight.

Fortunately, the leader recognized Nacy's face. He straightened his back and nodded in acknowledgment.

"Greetings, Miss Jin."

Nacy dismissed them back to their places before parking the car on the side. She noticed how the place was dark and solemn, given the multiple trees that shaded the area.

"You want to do it? Kill me," Bruce said through gritted teeth.

"As you wish," Nathan sneered.

Bruce was a really stubborn man. If it were other people, they would've already admitted to it, but he was stubborn enough to stick to his word. Nathan was not sympathetic towards his victims, and he hated Bruce to the core.

Ever since Mandy called for his name in her dream, Nathan had despised him. The more Mandy cared for Bruce, the angrier Nathan was.

However, before he could pour it on Bruce, his phone started to ring. Seeing that it was from Mandy, he quickly walked out of the dark room to answer it.

"Mand," Nathan said softly, frowning.

"Nathan, I'm outside." Mandy fidgeted, feeling her throat constrict as she said it.

She thought that their appearance here at his headquarters wouldn't please him the slightest.
