"Happy birthday, Grandpa!" Mandy bowed her head, flushing since she was being introduced as Damian's girlfriend. Even then, she still managed to speak eloquently.

"Hello, sweet girl!" Although he didn't know Mandy's name, he knew for a fact that this was a clever girl. He liked at her at first sight.

Damian placed a hand at Mandy's lower back, bowing his head in acknowledgment. "I'll show her around the house, Grandpa. We'll be back."

He steered her away. With just the thin fabric separating his hand from her back, she could feel the heat radiating from his skin. Although her face was still flushed, she was starting to calm down, getting used to the elegant party. The intimidating man was actually very nice.

Damian went over to the buffet table, picking up a plate from under the counter. He glanced over at her with a smile. "Want anything?"

Mandy slowly shook her head. "I'm not hungry."

"You still have to eat. When the party starts, you won't be able to eat anymore, so get a few bites first." Damian was usually a frequent guest at these kinds of parties. Usually, when all the guests had arrived, the birthday celebrator would make a speech. After that, all the guests would head over to the ball. It allowed little time for them to eat anything.

"Okay, then let me have a cake," Mandy agreed, a hand holding onto her stomach. She hadn't eaten anything since lunch, and she was starving.

"Get a quick bite first," Damian urged as he picked out a piece of cake for Mandy, taking her to the sofa nearby.

Wearing a pair of high-heeled shoes, Mandy was exhausted from walking the whole time. She was just about to find a place to sit when Damian pulled her over to the sofa. She glanced up at him gratefully. 'How could he know?'

As Damian sat down beside her, Mandy noticed how all the glares were aimed her way. If looks could kill, she might as well be drowning

Nathan." Henry clasped both Nathan and Eve's hands before placing them on top of each other.

The moment Nacy neared, her cool face was replaced with an expression of radiance. Her two dimples were shown as she walked up to him.

"Grandpa, happy birthday! I wish you a happy year ahead of you." Nacy fluttered her eyelashes like a kid would do.

Henry had always been very fond of his two grandchildren. However, it was no secret that his favorite was Nacy. He held onto Nacy's hand for a few seconds and beamed at her, just simply appreciating her presence.

"Grandpa has prepared big red envelopes of lucky money for each of you. You can all get it after the party!" Sue giggled.

"Yeah!" Nacy exclaimed happily.

Flushed at the realization, Mandy sat on the sofa, as if she'd just been turned into ice. At that moment, it felt as if thousands of ants were crawling all over her body. She couldn't help but glare at Damian. "Why didn't you tell me?" she grumbled then, knowing full well he knew what she meant.

"You won't have come if I had told you the truth!" Damian laughed, his eyes glinting in mischief.

"Ass!" Mandy growled, glowering at the man. It was at this moment that even her exquisite makeup could not cover the redness on her cheeks.
