Chapter 273 She Is Really Kind-hearted

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"I've got nothing to explain, Nacy. When Mand found out that you were interested in me, she took the effort to see me in person and asked me to give you a chance," Bruce said as he licked his chapped lips. Mandy had always wanted Bruce and Nacy to get along well as they were both incredible people. She just hoped that Bruce wouldn't end up hurting Nacy in the course of their relationship.

Mandy was kind and thoughtful; she only wished the best for Nacy and tried to get her close to Bruce without hurting her pride. Unfortunately, Nacy had misunderstood Mandy's genuine intentions.

"Oh! Really? So you have been talking to me only because she suggested that you give me a chance? Is that what our relationship was all about? Then what am I to you, Bruce? Who the hell do you think I am? Am I just a toy for you to play around with? You have given me a chance because of someone's recommendation. I have been crazy about you, Bruce. I've never been hesitant about expressing my feelings, but you've been pretending all this while as if you knew nothing. Don't you think it's cruel? Have you ever thought of considering my feelings too? You and Mandy are ridiculous and selfish!" Nacy roared and let out a huge breath as she had not paused to breathe. Bruce's revelations had hurt her even more. She felt humiliated and was mad at herself for falling for someone who did not even take a minute to consider her feelings. She had come to the hospital to confront Bruce, but his words had only made things worse for her.

She had been falling for Bruce, intensely and irrevocably, with every passing day. Nacy had always thought that Bruce was a great man who treated her well. But only now did she find out that he had been nice to her only because of Mandy. The thought of it made her sick in the stomach.

"Mandy is kind-hearted and innocent. She warned me not to hurt you in any way, Nacy. Please calm down. Stop blaming her and try to think from her perspective too. She will be heartbroken if she finds out that you've been speaking ill of her." Bruce frowned and was looking helpless.

Nacy shook her head with frustration. When she heard this news, s

his head with one hand. "And, I have never thought about cheating on you–not even in my dreams!" he added. Although Bruce hated Nathan with all his heart, he would never think about hurting Nacy.

"Really? Are you telling the truth?' Nacy asked hesitantly.

"This is the truth. Trust me. Some truths are meant to be hidden. Mandy felt that you'd be hurt if you found out the truth. She knows that you are a great girl and is fond of you," Bruce said fiercely. He was a mature adult who empathized with others' emotions. He could understand what Nacy had been going through.

After the incident, Bruce had decided to join the gym as soon as he was discharged from the hospital. He had lost his strength in the course of training students day and night. He was frail and couldn't protect himself. He felt that it was high time he took care of himself too.

"I... I don't know what to say," Nacy said softly and looked down. Guilt was written across her face.

"It's all right, Nacy. Everyone's impulsive. I would have also reacted the same way." Bruce smiled reassuringly. He didn't think about himself anymore. He knew that Nacy was a wonderful woman. She was smart, beautiful, innocent, and kind. He was fond of her even though he was not in love with her.

"Err ... I apologize to you on behalf of my cousin. It's a criminal act, and he shouldn't have done it. I hope you don't file a complaint against him," Nacy said coldly.
