Chapter 253 Leaving The Villa

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
The car drove into the courtyard of the villa. Hearing the sound of the engine, Lillian rushed out. When she saw that Mandy had come back, she rushed out of the house in great joy.

"Miss Mandy, you're finally back. I was so worried about you," Lillian said happily, holding Mandy's hands with her trembling hands.

Mandy had already calmed herself down as she drove home. She smiled back. "Lillian, I'm fine. The hospital called me last night for an emergency, so I went there to do a surgery. I accidentally left my phone. I'm actually just here to get my phone."

Lillian nodded, but her eyes fell on Mandy's neck. It was stained with kiss marks.

"Miss Mandy, what's wrong with your neck?" Lillian asked worriedly, frowning, and tightening her grip on Mandy's hand.

Mandy already had an excuse ready. She said easily, "It's from the sun. I got it from the sunstroke, and I scraped my neck by myself."

The lie easily came out of her. She wasn't acting strangely, so Lillian believed her.

Lillian breathed a sigh of relief, smiled, and said, "Miss Mandy, don't scrape your neck next time in case of sunstroke. I am good at stretch therapy, and so I can perform it for you. Your neck looks weird after scraping. You'll never know what other people might say."

"Okay, thank you, Lillian."

When Mandy went back to her room upstairs, she saw the shirt she had worn last night was still on the bed. It was Nathan's shirt, and she could still smell his scent on it. She got lost in her thoughts as she stared at the shirt.

Only she and Bruce knew what had happened between them last night. As long as he didn't tell anyone else, nobody would know. She didn't plan to tell Nathan. She was just going to pretend as if nothing had happened between her and Bruce.

But after a while, she felt guilty. She thought that she couldn't cheat on Nathan and lie to him like that. Maybe it would be better if she just broke up with him. If Nathan ever found out what she'd done, he would just hate her.

However, Mandy had an

on. She didn't have lunch at all. Instead, she headed straight to the Cardiology Department.

"What happened? Why isn't Director Zhao back yet?"

"Yeah, who's going to do her two surgeries if she doesn't come back?"

"How are we going to explain this to our patients?"

"Should we call the dean and tell him that Director Zhao's not here yet?"

As soon as Mandy stepped out of the elevator, she saw a large group of nurses and doctors busy talking. She strode toward them quietly, listening to their conversations.

"Who told you I wasn't coming?" Mandy said in a low voice. Everyone was startled.

"Director... Director Zhao, where have you been?" Jayleen was startled to see Mandy when she turned around. It was never appropriate to talk about someone behind their backs. As the old saying went, "Talk about the devil, and he will appear."

"I had something to deal with at home this morning. I wasn't able to tell you, but I'm back now," Mandy said, smiling sheepishly.

"This is great. We thought you weren't coming to work today. We'd be lost without you," a nurse said.

Mandy responded with a faint smile. She knew she was going to lose her position in this hospital very soon. She'd be fired the minute Nathan read her letter.

"Well, you can leave now." She turned around and walked into her office, ignoring all the gossip.
