Chapter 236 Be Careful With Her

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
After all, everyone only got one life, and it was only fair to cherish it.

For a long while, Damian didn't say anything. After this pause, he let out a laugh and said, "Wow, I've never met someone who gossips more than you do."

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone that you're sick, but in return, you have to promise me that you'll cooperate, get treated, and quit smoking. Okay?" Mandy solemnly said, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Okay... To return your kindness, I'm going to tell you something," Damian said, pausing purposely to keep the suspense.

"Brother, please. Don't beat around the bush. What is the fun in this if you keep doing it over and over again?" Mandy didn't like being tortured like this. Damian always did this to her, and she didn't like it whenever he would keep her guessing.

"You may not believe me but what I'm going to tell you is true." As he spoke, the playful look on his face was soon replaced by a serious one. He and Mandy just gazed back at each other.

Mandy couldn't believe what she had heard. She widened her eyes and said slowly, "If you want to cause trouble, just forget it, okay?"

Damian put on an ironic smile. A hint of sadness flashed across his face, making it difficult to read what he was really feeling.

"Do you really see me that way?"

"No... No," Mandy said awkwardly.

"Is Cassie your colleague?" Now that he'd already made his point, he didn't really care whether or not Mandy believed him.

"Yes, she is," Mandy responded, frowning and wondering what on earth any of this had to do with Cassie.

"Be careful. She's not who you think she is," Damian said calmly as if he was sure of himself.

Mandy was stunned. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. 'Is Damian playing with me again?' Cassie was a simple girl! She could never hurt even a fly! Naturally, Mandy didn't believe Damian.

"No way. Cassie is a sweet and kind girl," Mandy said firmly.

"I knew you wouldn't believe me, so I kept the evidence." Then he took out his cell phone and pulled up a photo of Cassie and Eve eat

You're right. I'm not. What made you say so?" Mandy asked with a smile.

"You look upset like your lunch was stolen from you or something." Allen stretched out his hand and pointed a finger at one of the dishes he had just laid out.

Mandy couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Dr. Chen, you're really funny," she said.

"I'm not going to deny that. We should try to be happy all the time. You look more beautiful when you smile, Dr. Zhou. Why don't you smile more often?"

"Well, I have problems left and right. I can't keep pretending every day," Mandy said sadly.

"Don't fret. You'll figure them out. Why don't you just try your best to be happy instead of focusing on your problems?" Allen then raised his head to meet Mandy's eyes. To him, Mandy's eyes were the most beautiful he'd ever seen. They were like stars. He was mesmerized.

"Yes, I'll try to do that." Mandy flashed him a smile. She then turned her head to look for Cassie and Jayleen, who was just walking toward their table with food in their hands.

Jayleen had just put down the plate of food when she noticed that Allen was sitting at their table too. She teased him right away, "Hey, what brings you here today? I can't believe that our mighty Doctor Chen is joining us for lunch today!"

"Jayleen, stop joking with me," Allen said as he grinned sheepishly.

"Let's eat." Mandy smiled.
