Chapter 226 You Look Good No Matter What

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
It made Lillian happy that Mandy and Nathan loved each other as much as they did. They were almost like family to her.

She had been working for Nathan for quite some time now and had grown fairly experienced when it came to daily life matters. Every little thing she did, she seemed to have thought through. Lillian was well aware that Nathan and Mandy had their own personal affairs to attend do and that she couldn't simply work her schedule in accordance with them. Lillian didn't mind, though. Since she started working here at No. 520, Haibin Road, she ate good food all the time without getting too overworked. There was no denying that she was enjoying such a good life.

"Hmmm. Okay," Mandy said. There was something else she wanted to say to Lillian. 'I want to tell Lillian that I'll be there next Wednesday for her birthday... but it would be nicer if I just surprised her!' Mandy thought. Thinking of this, Mandy smiled in excitement. She pressed her lips together as if she were being extra careful not to spoil the surprise for Lillian.

"Miss Zhou, I understand that you haven't been home for so long. Please, don't worry about me. Go spend some time with your parents," Lillian reassured. She knew how miserable it was to leave home. As some people would say, "East or west, home is always the best."

"Okay. Take care, Lillian. Call me if you need anything, okay?"

"Don't worry. I'm just an old woman. What could happen to me? I used to live in the countryside like this," Lillian said with a smile.

Mandy and Lillian chatted for a while. She didn't hang up the phone until the taxi stopped at MC Garden.

The sun had nearly set on the horizon, and the sky was decked in brilliant orange and blue twilight. Mandy was about to go straight in, but she stopped when she thought that Fiona was home. 'That girl is a real glutton! I should probably buy something for her first, ' Mandy thought. And so, Mandy rushed to the nearby supermarket.

It was a bit lonely for Mandy shopping alone, so she quickly selected some imported snacks and then hurriedly went home.

With her hands full, she didn't bother using her keys and rang the doorbell instead.

In a few seconds, Fiona ran to open the door, wearing a loose, pink nightdress, her long hair trailing behind her.

A smile lit up Fiona's face when she opened the door. With a squeal, she jumped and hugged Mandy, nea

t the Jin Family's wealth, the more she thought about how their family couldn't possibly live up to Nathan's family.

"What is the big deal? Nathan is so generous and polite. He doesn't care about these things," Fiona argued with a smile.

"Okay, I'll try to tell him that," Mandy said. She touched the fabric of her dress and felt heavy in her heart. 'What am I wearing?' she thought. 'It's money, ' she continued to puzzle.

"You should be sensible, okay?" Madeline insisted. She reached for Mandy's hand and smiled at her.

"I know," Mandy replied. She understood why her mother was worrying so much. She had the same worries, after all. Mandy was aware that her life had become glamorous. But if things didn't really work out with Nathan, she knew she would become nothing.

Later that night, when Mandy was lying on the bed, she suddenly received a video call from Nathan.

Mandy took a look at the time. Nathan should still be on the plane, but she answered the video call right away.

In the video, Nathan sat on the leather sofa with his legs folded, looking very pleased.

They hadn't seen each other for a few hours by now. When she saw him, she felt empty in her heart. She wondered if he had been missing her as well.

"Hi, Nathan." Mandy sat up on her bed in order to make herself look presentable and beautiful. She had to even adjust her phone's angle from time to time.

"Little fool, what are you doing? You look beautiful no matter what," Nathan said. Nathan looked around at Mandy's background. He was relieved to see that she had returned to her home safely.
