Chapter 208 Whoever Hurts You Will Never be Spared

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"I can't believe what a horrible person Narissa is! Mandy, did Nathan have anything to do with her downfall? She used to be everywhere, then suddenly, we just stopped hearing about her," Cassie said, sounding extremely curious. She just wanted to find out more, and Mandy was the perfect person to ask. She knew how much Nathan cared about Mandy, so it wouldn't be difficult to believe that he had done something about Narissa for Mandy's sake.

Mandy shook her head and replied, "I don't know. I haven't asked him about that." She smiled helplessly. Nathan hadn't told her anything, so she couldn't be sure if Nathan really had dealt with Narissa on her behalf.

Nana had also told her about it last time, but she forgot to ask Nathan about it afterwards. Mandy decided that she would ask him when he came to pick her up from work. After all, she was a little curious about how he dealt with it.

"Mand, Mr. Jin is so good to you. When will I ever find a boyfriend as good as him? I'm so jealous, and I'm not even kidding!" Cassie put her hands on her cheeks giddily as if she was daydreaming about her future. She really wanted to find someone like Nathan–handsome, powerful, and good. Someone who would treat her like a queen. If anyone dared to hurt her, he would swoop in and save the day.

Grinning, Mandy rubbed Cassie's hands and said, "I'll ask Nathan to introduce you to someone after I get married to him."

"Wow. That would be great! Thank you!" Cassie said, smiling back.

The melodious piano concerto 'A comme amour' was being played all over the hospital, which meant that the staff could finally get off work. Mandy and Cassie then bid farewell to each other.

Mandy then changed out of her uniform and put on a new dress. She went to the basement where Nathan usually picked her up. They both normally got off work at the same time, but Nathan would take off work early so he could come and pick her up. Sometimes, they would go out for a nice meal at a restaurant. Other times, they would go home and whip something up.

Mandy wasn't really the type to rush getting off from work but as she thought of Nathan waiting for her in the basement, she grew excited.

The sound of her high heels clicking could be heard throughout the basement. She was able to spot Nathan's Lamborghini quickly. As she walked toward him, she grinned. When she arrived at his car, she saw him through the window seemingly reading a message on his phone. She knocked on the window to get his attention.

"Nathan," Mandy said softly from outside the car.

In response, Nathan got out of the car and eyed Mandy. He then asked, "Mandy, are you tired?" Nathan was well-versed in observing people

is hand so he could intertwine it with Mandy's.

Mandy lovingly looked at him in response. Suddenly, she rubbed her head as if she was coming to her senses.

"Nathan, I want to ask you something." She didn't know if what she was going to say was even appropriate.

"What is it?" Nathan asked.

"Did you have something to do with what happened to Narissa?" Mandy turned her head to look at Nathan's profile, feeling nervous. She wasn't sure if Nathan was going to get mad at her for asking that.

"Well, she wasn't banned or anything, but I know she was sent to a psychiatric hospital," Nathan answered easily. His tone was light, but the stone cold look on his face betrayed him. From that Mandy knew that he was very angry with Narissa.

Mandy's mouth fell open in shock, and she was unable to say a word.

What would Narissa be doing in a psychiatric hospital when she wasn't even insane?

"Mandy... Anyone who tries to hurt you is definitely going to get what they deserve. I wouldn't ever hurt a woman but if a woman like that tries to hurt you, I'm definitely doing something about it," he said calmly and rather casually. However, a hint of coldness flashed through his eyes, his face darkening all the while.

Mandy felt a chill run down her spine. She could still recall when she had first met Nathan, he had threatened to send her to a psychiatric hospital too. At that time, she had been rather dubious of his threat. But hearing this now, she knew he couldn't be lying.

With Nathan's power and wealth, there were no limits to what he could and could not do.

While she knew that Nathan only did that for her sake, she still couldn't help but feel that it was all too cruel. It was as if Nathan had used her as an excuse to hurt others. Suddenly, she felt terrified.
