Chapter 192 Different Thoughts

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"I hope you like Japanese cuisine! Here's some sushi and rice fried with turkey," Eve said happily as she held up a large paper bag. Carefully, she pulled out four different lunch boxes and laid them in front of Nathan. There was sushi, rice, pork rib soup, and fruit slices.

As he watched Eve place the food in front of him, he suddenly remembered the food that Mandy had prepared for him last night. 'She waited to eat with me even though she was already getting hungry. What a silly girl!'

Eve was different. Although Nathan did not ask, he had figured out that Eve had already eaten ahead. It looked like she brought all this food for him alone.

Meanwhile, at JR Hospital, Mandy was sitting in her office.

She had her head propped up with her hand as she drank a small carton of milk. Boredom was starting to get to her. Yesterday, when Jamie went to Switzerland, it seemed that he had taken all the happiness from the office along with him. Nobody else there made her days interesting.

All of the other people were busy doing their own things. Some were trying to get a few minutes of extra sleep on the table, while others were busy writing articles or doing research case reports. The whole office was exceptionally quiet.

For the time being, Mandy didn't have much work to do. On top of that, whenever work was given to her, she always did it in an efficient manner. Because of this, she had a lot of spare time at hand most of the time.

She casually browsed the news on Weibo. Suddenly she saw the news about "Midsummer Night's Dream" on the hot topic list. It was a piano competition that was held every five years. All the famous pianists and classical music enthusiasts would gather in Vienna. Only such a reputable competition as this one could bring so many people from across the world together for the sake of their love for music.

Although Mandy was interested, she knew in herself that there was no way she was going to the competition.

A lot of things had changed over the past five years. With a sigh, Mandy gracefully stretched and bent her white, slender fingers one by one. It was as if her hands were made to play the piano. But the only thing she held in her hand nowadays was the scalpel.

A career in music had always been her one true dream. There was a deep sadness in her heart since she had forgotten how happy she felt whenever she played the piano.

Mandy liked to play music, not because of the attention she might get nor the applause from the crowd after playing a piece. It was because of the f

k that afternoon because she invited Bruce for dinner. It was nearly the last day of shooting, so she could afford to have some time to rest and get ready to meet Bruce.

Meanwhile, on that same afternoon, Bruce had gone to JR Hospital to get the gauze on his wound changed and to renew his prescriptions. He had wanted to see Mandy first, but then he thought that it would be a waste of time to visit her. Mandy had a boyfriend. Therefore, there was a wall between them. The only thing he could do was wait for her silently.

"When did you get here? Have you waited for a long time?" Bruce asked as he sat across from Nacy. He was wearing a clean white shirt, making him look gentle but cool.

It was obvious that Nacy liked to chat with Bruce. Every day since the time they had met, she would talk to him on WeChat, sometimes even calling him up.

At the moment, Bruce didn't hate her attention. After all, he had nothing to do at night. Besides, it was summer vacation, so he didn't need to go to work. And there was nobody else at his home, so it was nice that he had someone to talk to.

As the days went by, their relationship deepened. Compared to the first time they had met, they no longer looked at each other in an awkward way. Everything felt a lot more natural.

"No. I just got here." Nacy's eyes sparkled, and her heart pounded quicker in her chest.

"What do you want to eat?" Bruce opened the menu and handed it to Nacy.

Bruce knew Nacy was Nathan's younger sister, and that she was a famous star. At first, he didn't want to be friends with her, but as he got to know her better, he thought that she was rather nice. There was no harm being friends with her, he thought.
