CHAPTER 14

Treat an Illness before it’s too Late, Blind

“Kiss you.” Xiao Chen propped his chin up on his hand and narrowed his eyes to stare at the crimson cheeked woman who were stomping her feet in anger. A thread of interest suddenly flashed in his eyes; having this kind of woman at his side, teasing her once in a while, also seems very interesting.

“You…… You……” Jing Yue’s face, didn’t know whether it was because of anger or shame, went extremely red. She finally swung her arms and left the room in quick steps. Originally, she had wanted to leave just like that; but suddenly, as if she had just remembered something, she turned her body and went back.

Jing Yue didn’t go inside and stood at the doorway. Slightly frowning, she looked at Xiao Chen who had draped a robe recklessly on his shoulder and was lying down on the couch, opened her mouth and said: “Wei, Xiao Chen, I want to return to the forest.”

“En……” Xiao Chen lowered his eyelids and answered indifferently as if he didn’t even have the slightest care to what Jing Yue was saying.

“You answered really quick, you’re not afraid I’ll run?” Jing Yue mumbled to herself.

“If you want to see the mountain gets burned, go ahead and run.” Xiao Chen didn’t even open his eyes. When those indifferent words came through, they immediately made Jing Yue so angry that her face went green. Would this man use only this one trick?

“I’ll be back in three days.” Jing Yue spoke and turned her body around to leave. This time, Xiao Chen opened his eyes and looked at the back of Jing Yue’s leaving figure. He frowned and said loudly: “Two days, let Xing Er go with you.” Jing Yue grudgingly agreed; she just knew she couldn’t have her wish fulfilled.

Jing Yue changed her whole clothes into a clean one. When she walked out of the so-called huge residence, she immediately received everyone’s gazes, including those guards who watched the gate and those passing strangers. Those scorching gazes practically drilled a hole on Jing Yue.

Her whole body shivered. She slightly lowered her pace and leaned her head to look at the wooden faced Xing Er at her side and asked: “Tch…… Why are these people looking at me like that?”

Xing Er, born with an expressionless poker face, was following behind Jing Yue without any other movement; this time hearing Jing Yue’s question, he halted his body for a bit. Xing Er raised his head to look at Jing Yue and then turned his head to stare at a wooden board on the side.

The enormous ‘notice’ word above painfully pierced Jing Yue’s eyes. She hastily walked towards the board. Jing Yue’s face went black when she finally saw clearly the content written on it. She stared closely at a portrait attached on it; the first one suspiciously looked like her face.

“I…… look like this?” Jing Yue ferociously pulled the corner of her mouth. Looking at the brush painting of herself, she simply felt she was looking at an abstract ghost……

Hearing Jing Yue’s question, Xing Er earnestly studied the portrait and silently nodded.

“You are blind; treat it before it’s too late.” Jing Yue whole face went black as she glared at Xing Er. She walked in large strides toward the side of a horse. Jing Yue frowned a bit when she stared at the horse.

Xing Er went slightly blank. He raised his hand and shook it in front of his eyes then quietly said: “I can see, not blind.”

“Pu (pfff)……” Jing Yue turned her head just in time to see Xing Er’s action and immediately came up with a laugh. That bright beautiful laughing face was staring at Xing Er suddenly made his cheeks reddened for a bit. He turned his sight away, didn’t dare to look at Jing Yue.

“Wei, I don’t want to ride this horse, such a small horse.” Jing Yue shouted toward Xing Er.

Xing Er turned his head to look at the small horse his master had chosen for Jing Yue, opened his mouth and said: “This is master’s arrangement.”

“Does this man really take me as a little child?” Jing Yue’s face went black when she heard what Xing Er had said. She looked around and happened to see a guard dragging a black steed which had wanted to enter the residence. Her eyes suddenly went bright; she lifted her hand to point and said: “I want that horse.”
