Chapter 229: The finale (b)

Elliot grabbed it by the neck and threw it high above with immense. All the clouds in the sky scattered as the titan reached the barrier wall that surrounded the eternal snow zone. Remember, Elliot hadn't destroyed the last barrier crystal. Maybe it was for this very moment! Bam! The titan came to a halt as it crashed with the invisible wall. Cracks appeared on the wall, causing it to turn semi-transparent.

"Die!" Immense murderous desire filled the surrounding of Elliot's avatar that suddenly raised both of its hands. Tens of thousands of golden dots appeared in between the vast palm of his avatar, swirling and compressing, condensing into the shape of an energy ball.

Whoosh! It immediately shot towards the titan that had its back facing the wall of the barrier. The weak ones among onlookers only saw a star shooting upwards and crashing into the titan's chest before intense light blinded their sight. The strong ones like Leonardo and the inquisitor from the magician association managed to make out the shape of Elliot's weapon and also determined the strength it carries. It was strong enough to eradicate the titan, meaning Elliot was aiming for the kill.

"This fool!" Immediately Leonardo sweated buckets. After all, the moment the serpentine devil's avatar dies, a calamity will get released in this place, causing everything thing to be destroyed, and many lives will be lost. And since Elliot was aiming for the kill, that meant he didn't know what was going to happen!

Leonardo instantly used his power to teleport up to Elliot and stop him, but a massive amount of pain assaulted his heart, making him feel as if his heart would explode. As a result, his teleportation failed; he kneeled and coughed out mouthfuls of blood. With each cough, blood came out of his mouth. A pitiful sight it was. The elders around him stood up in worry and helped stabilize his situation by using a unique magic technique that required at least four magic kings and an immense amount of lifespan.

Meanwhile, the immense rays of light disappeared, revealing the miserable state of the titan. A lance had pierced through its heart and branched out off its back. Not to mention, the part above its chest seemed to be missing. It was probably that Elliot's attack had somehow obliterated it.

"You need to do better to kill me, little ant."

Of course, the serpentine devil was still alive somehow thanks to its immense and logic-defying vitality. And it was in the mood to taunt Elliot.

"Heh, my attack is still ongoing," Elliot replied.

Elliot's avatar hands closed, and two words filled the sky.

"Star piercer."

From the part of the golden lance still within the titan's body, many metallic tentacles sprouted, around ten thousand in numbers, and grew at an impeccable rate. Consequently, the titan's body got ripped apart into an uncountable number of pieces.

A messy sight it was, no doubt about it.

A flood of blood along with many pieces of flesh and gray orbs began falling towards the ground. When they saw that, an expression of dismay appeared on the faces of instructor Leonardo and the inquisitor from the association; they regretted not making public the devastating event that happened after the previous avatar of the serpentine devil got killed.

"What?"

Suddenly, everyone's eyes widened as all the blood and other parts once belonging to the titan's body came to a sudden halt. It was as if someone had frozen them in space.

"What is happening?" Elliot's eyes narrowed as he tried to make sense of this situation.

Right at that very moment, black clouds appeared above him. They swirled around hurriedly, revealing the face of a serpent with three eye sockets.

With a single glance, Elliot realized that it was the projection of the serpentine devil. How the hell it appeared without a ritual was out of his knowledge, but with how fast his brain was working, he managed to connect the dots and concluded that it might have to something with his killing of its avatar.

"What a persistent bastard." Elliot cursed as he glanced at it in utter disdain.

Even if its actual body was here, with the vast amount of the essence of life in his possession, tearing it apart and eating snake meat for dinner wasn't much of a task for him!

"Did you think it was all over? Killing my avatar only gives me the chance to activate two of my top three innate racial traits! And using one of them, I managed to project half of my power to this place from my Red Chime Palace!"

The triumphant voice of the serpentine devil sounded in the sky.

The serpentine devil sounded happy?

It was as if it wanted Elliot to tremble in fear!

Well, even the appearance of its projection that was many times stronger than its avatar failed to faze him.

[Serpentine devil's projection.]

[Description: A unique trick of the Serpentine devil that causes a part of the targeted planet to present itself.]

[Effect can last for as long as 140 hours]

[The projection can only unleash a single attack, and then it will disappear.]

After all, he could see that its projection would fade away after a single attack.

"So, what?" Elliot said, a nonchalant expression on his face.

Villains like the serpentine devil, he had seen many.

Beating them up, it's fun at first.

But after a while, it becomes boring.

And now he was bored!

He just wanted it to scram.

Not to mention, killing its projection or avatar doesn't mean getting rid of the serpentine devil.

Only after he obliterates its main body will the enmity between them end.

So, he didn't want to waste his time dealing with its projection.

"You can only attack once, so hurry up and do your best."

As it heard his words, the serpent's expression twisted. Its avatar could only showcase ten percent of its power, but its projection could display fifty percent! In simpler words, it was able to cast its ranked no.1 innate racial trait that was strong enough to lay waste to an entire continent only to kill Elliot!

"Innate racial trait: Juggernaut Descension!"
