Chapter 230: Unexpected Disaster! (a)

It had not even finished saying the name of its attack when gray mist seeped out of the blood, pieces of meat, and shards of bones hovering around him. In the millionth of a second, Elliot's surroundings changed entirely. Grayness surrounded him, trapping him inside a land of dread. Everything happened so fast that it made it seemed like as if a divine painter had picked up their brush and used the fabric of reality as a piece of paper to paint their heart's desire.

"Damned villain! Even after getting its ass handed over to it, it still made a comeback."

"What comeback? Since when did launching a sneak attack to bully a newborn calf become knowns as a comeback? It's old and strong, but it's a coward to the bone, knowing no shame even. Thick skin bastard, I hope he receives a slap on the face again."

The onlookers weren't happy with the situation. But they couldn't do anything. The serpentine devil was an ancient being, and it had many tricks up its sleeves. And it was out to annihilate Elliot, making them worry. However, they believed that just like the previous times, Elliot would come out on top once again.

"J-just w-what i-is that gray sphere?" Lady Charlotte stuttered in shock as her bulging eyes stared unblinkingly at the projection on the barrier surrounding the settlement of the soul race. Reflected in her eyes was a gray sphere hovering in mid-air. It was the size of an asteroid, and it covered more than half of the eternal snow zone in its shadow.

This was the serpent's way of showing its power!

"I don't know."

No one had ever seen something like this!

"Doesn't it look a lot similar to field-type ability kingdom?"

The inquisitor of the association noticed that the latest attack of the serpentine devil had changed a part of the space itself into something else, causing him to sweat profusely. The man was worried for the young emperor.

"Ugh!"

Gray fluid covered the sphere's smooth and shiny surface, sliding and dripping down to the ground. The moment the gray droplet touched the ground, a sizzling sound like the chirping of a bird or a chicken's yell of relief. The eyes of everyone widened in horror as the strong melting power of the liquid came into their view. The fluid was highly toxic, and it melted apart everything it touched, from trees to the unlucky beasts that failed to evade it. With a single touch, the gray fluid changed the beasts from meaty and healthy to mere bones!

"Retreat." All the beasts started running towards the nearby zones as they were too scared to remain here.

Meanwhile, Elliot, who was sitting on the throne that was present in the center of his celestial avatar, found himself separated from the eternal snow zone. There was no oxygen in the air, unfortunately. Although he was strong, he could only hold on to his consciousness for thirty or so minutes without oxygen.

To get out of this place, he rushed towards the nearest solid surface. It was gray. Bam! Bam! Bam! He landed several punches on it, but only a few dents appeared on it, causing lines of worry to appear in the center of his forehead.

"Why are the walls so damn sturdy?! Even a few punches from a giant made out of hundreds of thousands of units of energy failed to cause it to show any signs of breaking."

The celestial giant was the manifestation of all the power Elliot could muster right now. As he failed to break out of this place even after using its strength, it was impossible to get out. Of course, there was another way, such as converting his avatar into the essence of life and using an attack that condenses all of his energy into a single point. But then again, he would be left defenseless if he tried something like that, and death would become a possibility!

"Swoosh!"

Right at this moment, gray snakes protruded out of the walls around him and shot towards him. They moved extremely fast, but Elliot was a step ahead of them. Before they could come near him, he converted a lot of essence of life into a pole that could extend and retract. The size of his avatar decreased sharply, leaving behind only full-body celestial armor on Elliot's body. It had many intricate designs, and it made him look like a war god.

A few moments later, the snakes reached up to him, surrounding him from all the sides. Then, they charged ahead at the same time, leaving him with no path to escape. Elliot smirked and thrust his pole repeatedly.

As if he was a man near climax who couldn't stop thrusting his sword again and again, his pole moved back and forth, leaving behind uncountable afterimages. Each afterimage represented the death of one venomous snake.

With the extraordinary power of the power and Elliot's controlled movement, it didn't take long before the hundred or so snakes got annihilated.

This time, though, Elliot didn't come out victorious without a loss.

[You've killed hundreds of beings with no vitality.]

[0 units of the essence of life gained.]

[The corroding liquid of the monster had latched onto your pole. It had started eating at its vitality]

[Your weapon is slowly getting destroyed.]

[Please do something before the poison spreads further.]

While he was killing them, some of their gray blood splashed on his pole. At first, he didn't overthink as he was busy destroying the snakes. Only later did he notice that the gray blood was capable of destroying even the essence of life. However, he didn't stop ad kept killing.

To salvage the situation, Elliot cut away the corrupted part.

"What is this blasted place?" Elliot wondered as his eyes roamed around the gray world with no sky or land, looking for clues as well as any signs of enemies.

He had never faced such a thing before, and he had no idea how to deal with it. Even his godly right of wisdom seemed to have failed him this time, giving him very little information to process.

[Hell's Paradise Replica.]

[It's a highly poisonous place. Be careful of the lifeform or lifeforms present in this place. They are all bound to be highly toxic, enough to melt iron and poison an entire ocean]

[It's a place without oxygen. You might die due to oxygen deprivation in an hour or so.]

[It's a place cut off from the real world. You won't be able to get any help from outside.]

[It's a place with no escape. No pathways are leading out of this place.]

"What nonsense was that?"

Elliot rubbed his temple.

Can he get a more precise definition?
