24 Little Sister

"Heart break?"

"Heart break!" Chesa nodded, although she wasn't planning to tell Anna, she just felt like at least one person should know.

And she was also horrible at keeping secrets so...

"You remember that spy I told you about. ...it was a 'she' " Chesa said, she was trying to create suspense but Anna only nodded.

"You know that girl was actually..."

KNOCK! KNOCK!! KNOCK!!!

Chesa immediately stopped talking as she heard the series of knocks.

"I'm coming, I'm coming ai!....why knock so loudly?" Chesa complained as she opened the door, her words stopped midway as she stared at the man in front of her, her face flushed as she buttoned up her shirt with a nervous smile. "B...Brother Mu, you've arrived?" Chesa said nervously about to tell him to come but then remembered males were not allowed in.

"Is Anna there?"

"Uh.....who is Anna?...oh Anna! Anna!" Chesa called out nervously, her heart throb was in front of her. She didn't want to mess up, 'you have to act graceful....graceful' she took a deep breath and then smiled at Nathan.

"It is really nice to see you again brother Mu"

"It is nice to see you too Chesa"

'Ah! he says its nice to see me! yes yes yes!' meanwhile, Chesa's expression didn't change as she continued smiling at the man.

"Brother Mu, you're looking for me?" Anna asked, Chesa finally remembered was he was here for and sighed 'How could I be so forgetful?'.

"Yes....I need to talk to you about something very important " Nathan said, he wasn't sure why he was currently nervous. Anna nodded waiting for him to begin.

Chesa noticed that he was hesitating because she was there and she had no choice but to let her heart throb go.

"Why don't you guys he somewhere quieter and much more comfy to talk?".

Nathan looked at Chesa with grateful eyes "Yes, let's do that"

Anna hesitated, what exactly was she going to say to him.

"Lets go" Nathan said pushing her wheel chair and bringing her with him.

Nathan took her outside the base. Although she wanted to say something about it, she kept quiet.

Anna didn't know what to say and Nathan was also quiet. There was an awkward silence becoming almost unbearable to bear.

"*coughs*" Anna coughed lightly. At this rate none of them will end up saying anything.

"You.....say you wanted to speak to me?"

"Ah....that.." Nathan scratched the back of his head, where should he start?

'I m your brother?' he shook his head and looked at Anna.

"You.....how do you know Lu Zhang ?" Nathan asked, of course he already knew the answer but, he wanted to hear it from her.

"He is my father...and I am guessing he's yours as well" Anna said staring at him, she was glad. Finding him was actually easier than she thought. She had though she would have to spend years to find him, to find her birth mom....

"And you're my little sister" Nathan said squatting down. They were now both the same height and Anna could see his eyes easily.

"I thought you were dead, we all thought you died"

Anna's brows creased, which means he knew she existed. Which means....."What...what about my ....I mean our mother?.....is she okay?, is she alive?...is she with you?" Nathan sighed as he heard her questions, his mother became worse when Anna 'died'. Her attitude became the way it was today, if she found out that her daughter was still alive, how happy she would be but.....he already.....

"The Old madam, is with Lu Zhang."

Anna nodded, she already knew that from her father's letter.

If her birth momwas with that man, would she still be alive. She had already realized how ruthless that man could be.

"Do you....have a picture of her?"

Nathan nodded, of course he had never stopped feeling guilty for sending his mother away but she had gone too far.

"Here" he gave her the old photo in his wallet.

Anna stared at the toddler, she was sure it was her but, the other two girls.....

"That is Wei Wei and Nina, your sisters"

Anna held back her tears as she stared at her mother's face over and over making sure to imprint it in her memories.

"They both lied to me for so long.....do you know....I...I only found out I had a mother till recently"

Nathan stared at her tear filled eyes and couldn't help but pity her.

"The person I though was my mother all this time was a liar, she lied to me my entire life"

She always said she loved her, but she kept lying and lying till her time of death.

"And our father.....he is actually a two timer"

"What?" Nathan raised his brows, what was she talking about?

"Do you know...he is married to someone else, and they have 3 children with each other" Anna smiled bitterly as she saw the surprised look on Nathan's face. Even he didn't know about their father's sins.

He married two different women, had children with them and kept it a secret from everyone.

She had to admit, he was one smart man.

"So.....is that where you have been all this time? How was life there?" Nathan asked.

Anna nodded "It wasn't easy, but your words actually helped me through everything, you told me to create hope for myself and that's what I did" Anna said smiling, of course that smile hid her real emotions perfectly, a skill she learnt from her teacher.

"Now that I've found you, I won't let that man hurt you anymore, I promise" Nathan held her hands. Anna felt warmth when she heard his words, she finally found him...her own brother.

"Thank you big brother" she said with a sincere smile on her face.

Nathan pinched her cheek smiling as well "You're welcome, little sister"
