28 Attacked On The Way Home

The whole cafeteria fell silent. All eyes landed on Alyssa once again. This time Alyssa didn't hide under their gazes. She proudly welcomed it. She wanted to be low-key but that doesn't me she was afraid of any judgments. She didn't even care what other people think of her anymore.

The plate hit Violet directly on her forehead. Red blood came out from it. Violet touched her forehead and saw a red stain on her fingers. She froze. It was for the first time that she got hit by someone. She couldn't believe that the person that always squirmed under her foot would probably hit her someday.

Violet was an alpha. Of course, her reflex would be better than an Omega, but Alyssa still managed to hit her, this was an insult she had to wear all her life. And because of this, her hatred towards Alyssa grew up to another level.

On the other side, Alyssa was fuming too. Dianna came towards her and held her hands. "Let's go," she said and dragged her out of the cafeteria followed by Kale and Marcus. The rest of the students too left the cafeteria even before the bell rang leaving Violet alone in there.

No one knows after how long Violet moved from her spot. She turned towards the cafeteria's door and clenched her hands. Her eyes filled with hatred and malice.

On the other side, Dianna brought Alyssa to their spot and gave her a water bottle to cool her off. Alyssa drank two mouthfuls of water and laid down on the soft grass closing her eyes. They all sat around Alyssa surrounding her.

"Damn, it was so awesome. You were so cool over there Alyssa." Marcus whistled, praising Alyssa.

Dianna and Kale laughed too agreeing with what Marcus had said.

"You know she will come after you," Dianna said worriedly.

Alyssa opened her eyes and said, "Does it matter? Now, what more will she do? Pour a bucket of silver over me."

"She can. You never know." Kale said solemnly.

Alyssa opened her eyes once again and said, "She couldn't do that because she can't fly."

"You know, you really suck at making jokes," Dianna said, making everybody laugh.

"At least I made you all laugh," Alyssa argued.

"Hey! That was me. Ok!" Dianna slapped Alyssa's thigh making her groan in pain.

"But seriously Allie, how's your hand," Kale asked sounding concerned.

Alyssa checked her hands and replied, "Alright I guess. It's been a while since I was tormented by Violet." She added.

"Don't joke." Dianna slapped her thighs once again.

"But seriously though. Isn't it true? I wonder what she was doing these days?" Alyssa said curiously.

"Maybe planning the ways to torment you." Marcus joked.

Their banter continued. But unknown to Alyssa these days Violet was stepping up her games and seducing Leonard Norrell. But that's the story for another day.

Alyssa, Dianna, Kale, and Marcus had their free period and was sitting in the basketball ground. It was the time before the final exam so most of the classes were self-study class or free period. There was almost half of the student body present in the basketball ground.

"Want to drink something," Dianna asked no one in particular.

"Hell yes!" Marcus exclaimed.

Then three pairs of eyes landed on Alyssa who was busy doing her homework.

Alyssa raised her eyebrows in question.

"You knew what happened when the last time you ordered. I am not going to buy anything."

"Chicken!" Marcus teased.

Alyssa rolled her eyes and got up from her seat to go to buy drinks. She was not being a chicken' as Marcus said. She just wanted to complete her assignment before going home. She had a lot of strategies to plan and proceed with her invention to the next level.

Alyssa had hardly taken a few steps away from the group when she saw Jacob entering the basketball ground. His eyes roamed as if searching for someone.

"What is he doing here? His group isn't present here." Alyssa whispered but it was loud enough for her friends to hear it.

They all turned towards the direction where Alyssa was looking at.

Much to their dismay, his eyes landed on their group, in particular, on Dianna.

He walked towards Dianna and said, "Let's go. I have something to tell you".

Dianna stood up. Jacob turned and started walking towards the door. But he soon realized that Dianna was not following him. He shouted, "Come this instant."

But Dianna remained at her place. His voice drew the attention of almost everybody present in the field, silencing everyone present.

He took a few steps towards her and said, "I need to talk."

"You can say it here". Dianna said.

Jacob clenched his teeth and pressing each and every word he said, "Since when did a Beta had such guts to defy an Alpha."

Tears pooled in Dianna's eyes. But she stood there like a stone taking his insult.

"Do you think you are worthy enough of me, a Beta, who is so low that she had to befriend Omegas to feel superior. And because of this bit**, a scum of the society, you are ignoring me" Jacob continued pointing his fingers at Alyssa.

"She is just another s*ut like you, selling her body for money." Alyssa clenched her fist and before she could say anything a voice rang, "You are a sl**. Jacob became stunned, so was everybody else.

"Yes, Mr. Buhr, it's you.", Dianna smirked when she saw the stunned expression on Jacob.

"Being in a relationship, but still sleeping around, what do you call that person? Yes, a cheater and a sl**. One who can't control the animal that he is."

Beautiful laughter chimed in the area. Jacob turned to see Alyssa laughing at him. Soon it was followed by Kale and Marcus and later everybody present around them started laughing.

Marcus felt as a clown. He girted his teeth and said, "We haven't broken up yet. So, technically you are still my girlfriend. Just come with me."

He walked to grab Dianna's arm. Dianna flung her arms and slapped him right on his face.

"Don't you get it, Mr. Buhr, I Beta Dianna Heydrich, is breaking my relationship with AJB taking Moon Goddess as a witness. I BDH swear to her that I will not have any relationship with AJB from now on and will always view him as a scum of the society."

Soon, the clouds turned dark and a blue light pierced her heart indicating the completion of the vow.

Jacob felt ashamed of being rejected. Nobody of lower rank had ever dared to reject an alpha. He didn't know how to face society from now on. He left the basketball field glancing towards Alyssa with hate and vengeance.
