Chapter 128：If I’m Pregnant

A month later.

"Honey, are you sure you want to go with me?" Richard ask her while put his document into his briefcase.

Somehow, he had a bad feeling when Hai Rin said she want to follow him to go to New York. He will attend a business matter for two weeks. Since she insist want to go with him, he could only agree to it.

"Yes. I am very sure that I want to go with you. Lately, I can't even stay away from you. Weird, isn't it?" she giggles.

"Okay okay. But stay close with me, don't go around by yourself okay?" he remind her and hug her from behind.

"Ok."

They bid farewell to the family and landed at the New York 14 hours later. Now it's still winter season in New York.

She was totally tired and could only sleep when they got to the Lee manor.

Without any butler to arrange her schedule, she do everything freely without any specific time or schedule to follow.

Richard also spoiling her too much. Everything she needs, will be fulfill by him, even her work mostly done by him and he even buy a new field around there and open a new fragrance gallery to attract more people and tourist to come.

It's been the third day after she landed. She only stayed at the manor and wait for him to return home, sometimes, he will bring her to his office and watch him do his work all day.

Since tomorrow is Saturday, she decide want to go to strolling around the city with him.

Meanwhile, in high-rise building office.

Richard frowned when seeing his assistant Ming Wen keep clenching her hand and sometimes she looks like sweating.

"Are you okay assistant Wen?" he asked.

"Em..yes." she tried to cover her voice from saying 'No'.

"What's wrong? You look like you're sick." he asked again not buying with her answer before.

"Uh.. I had my period today, so it's normal to have a period pain." her face already turn pale as she clenching the end of her blouse.

Richard then asked her to return back to hotel room and take a rest for today.

After she left, he rub his chin trying to remember something.

'How long has it been since Hai Rin didn't complain for her period pain?' he tried to remember the last time she had her period.

After he was done with his work, he took his winter coat and drive back to his manor.

It took him 30 minutes to drive to his manor. He open the door and looked at Hai Rin who was happily making a dinner in the kitchen.

"Honey I'm home."

Put down her plate, she walk to Richard who is standing at the entrance, taking off his winter coat and kiss him. "Welcome back dear."

"Go and take a hot shower first before we eat our dinner." she said to him before she walk back to the kitchen counter.

In the dining, Richard suddenly remember the question he intend to ask her this afternoon.

"Rin, when is your last period?" he asked. He remember that they had sex every two to three days. So when did the last time she had her period though?

"Em? I'm not sure. Maybe when the last time we in the Qinglong town I think." she fork her asparagus.

"That is long ago. Don't you feel like nauseous or dizzy lately?" he asked again.

Hai Rin scratch her head slowly try to think.

"Ehh..no. I feel normal." she continue again to eat.

"But, your period.."

"Oh, don't worry. I am a special case, I only get my period once in 3 months or sometimes, its takes 5 months." she waved her hand in the air, signaling him to not worried about it.

"Are you sure you're not pregnant?" he frowned again.

"Yes, baby. If I'm pregnant, I am the first one who will tell the whole world."

He chuckled when heard his wife sentence.

He noticed that Hai Rin look different from before. The way she eat is more appetizing than before. She also has a new sleep position lately.

She will sleep only on his chest every night. Even though sometimes, he could not move because of her position. But, since she said she's not having any nauseous or feeling dizzy that's means she is not pregnant right?

He continue to eat his dinner and enjoy the moment with her.

In the next morning, like always she will prepare the breakfast and eat together with Richard.

"Dear, today I would like to go to the park. Will you accompany me?" she said while looking at his face.

"Sure. I'll take you to go strolling around." He caress her cheek and smile to her.

When she put her make up things inside her bag, her eyes suddenly caught a letter that Andy left for her before.

The letter which is still in the envelope, she open it.

A small pendant fall from the envelope, she look at the pendant which is look like a butterfly and had a small blue crystal on it.

She then read his letter.

'My dear Rin, I wish you a happy life with the one you love. I'm sorry I can't be part of your family in the future. However, I will always be there if you ever need a friend. I leave you my gift, you can wear it if you want. I thought it will be nice on you. Love - Andy.'

She looked at her small palm which is holding the pendant, she then open her necklace which her father gave her when she was a baby and put the pendant along with her R shape pendant.

Wearing the necklace back, she hurriedly walk downstairs and reach Richard's arm.

"Let's go."

Smiling he caress her hair and walk to the car garage.

He decide to bring her to Central Park today. Even though now is winter season, he want her to experience how the 'Fairy tales' winter feels in here.

There is a lot activity that they can do in the park. Hai Rin wear thick wool jacket and boot, she also wear a snow cap and hand gloves. Same goes with Richard. When they walk in the park all she can see is almost everyone wore a same color winter coat.

Mostly all black. They try to play ice sledding and ice skating at the park along with some American people.

After they tired, they sit at the bench and looks at the people who enjoy playing snowball in front of them.

Richard eyes suddenly caught a glimpse of person that he thought he knew, he then turned his head to Hai Rin who is still focus on the people in front of them.

"Honey, I think I saw someone that I knew. Can you stay here for a while? I will be back real quick." He said to her with a hurry.

Richard then left her in the bench and walk faster to the person he saw earlier.
