Chapter 40：She Will Be Alright.

"Baby, what are you doing here?" seeing his lover, his face turn dark looking at Jack like he had commit a big mistake.

"Yu Lin, you better get out from this place right now. They installed bomb inside this building. You got to believe me." She run to the man and hug him.

"What? How long?" he ask and patted her hair softly.

"15 minutes, top."

Yu Lin look at his wrist watch. There is only 5 minutes remaining before the firewall he create to start functioning, but he need to transfer the data to the hard disk before they go out too. If the server farm blows, all the data will be lost and all his work will be toss.

He took out a phone size hard disk from his bag pack and connect to his laptop as he start typing something on the keyboard. A moment later, a pop-up window show 10 minutes times remaining to transfer all the data into the hard disk. Combined with the wall that he just create it will take at least 14 minutes.

However, the problem is, how is he going to survive within 1 minutes? The hard disk can be cover with his new device that he invent to be nuclear proof. But what about the human body? Of course one of them need to guard the device until it done transferring the data.

He blame himself for not inventing something that can be used in emergency situation like now.

He look at the girl beside him. His voice was calm and soft.

"Lead my squad out from here."

Hearing those word Xu Nians trembles, she shook her head as her hand tug his shirt tightly. Her tears began to flow down.

"No! I can't! I voluntarily stay here. You should go. There is still enough time for you to go far away from here."

"Baby, baby.. Please.. listen to me. All of you will be much faster if I not coming along." He cupped her face with his hand trying to calm her down.

"No.. I don't want to.."

Jack and a lady behind them just lower their gaze.

'Aih..Time is running out, and now you want to make some soap opera here?' he couldn't help to feel anxious in his heart.

Nani tap Jack shoulder and said with a firm voice. "Four other squad already made their way out now, they will be waiting at point A behind the building."

Jack just nodded.

"Yu Lin, it's time to go." He said with a cold voice. He took a glance at the woman with the silver hair.

Knowing the meaning from his word, Xu Nian nodded her head. "Emm. Go now."

She let go of Yu Lin and push his body gently to the man behind him.

Suddenly her eyes catch a glimpse of a man she knew. In a second, she grabs Yu Lin shoulder and cover his body with hers.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three shot was release from a different angle. Jack and Nani were also shocked by the sudden attack, they both take out the gun and point it at the man wearing a white coat and a few people behind the man.

Xu Nian on the other hand already spat a blood from her mouth. Yu Lin a bit shock when he see his beloved girlfriend were covered with the blood at the back of her body.

"Baby! Baby! Stay with me! "He shout calling her in his arm.

Xu Nian's vision start to blur. She could barely hear the man she love calling her again and again.

"I knew it! You the stupid brat who stupidly fall in love with my dear sister." That man smirking looking at Yu Lin face.

"You.. Rong Yue!" he grit his teeth and look furiously at that man.

"Hah.. What a waste. It's no fun killing you now. Well, at least my little traitor had pay her debt." He waved his hand to his crew before he walk out from the vault.

After he see the man already gone from his sight, he shouted at Jack who standing near him.

"Jack! Treat her! Hurry!"

Jack was startled by Yu Lin voice. He turn his body around and look at Xu Nian's body.

From the wound it should not hitting her vital, but based on her bleeding she might not have much time.

Cover the hard disk inside the device, they walk out from the building with less than 10 minutes left.

Yu Lin carry Xu Nian in his arm while jack lead the way and Nani cover his back. When they reach outside, his father helicopter already standby at the fields.

His squad from the chopper helping the four of them get into the chopper. Just when they reach a bit higher from the ground, a huge explosion blown up the whole building. The helicopter felt a bit stir from the explosion effect.

"To the nearest hospital. Now!" Yu Lin shout from the back of chopper.

"But sir, Phoenix City did not have any helipad at their hospital building." The pilot said with a confuse look on his face.

"Then, use the road, the field or whatever it is."

"…" the pilot didn't know how to react.

"Yu Lin, bring her back to the military air base. There is a doctor there, we patch up her wound and fly back to Imperial City."

Looking at Yu Lin, with a hint of crying, jack continue his word.

"She will be alright." Yu Lin nodded and hug Xu Nian's body tightly in his arm. His heart felt tight.
