Chapter 34 - Born in Heaven and Earth

Ever since Li Zheng had been carried away, Shu Yao had been in a daze all day, as if someone had gouged out a piece of his heart.

For three days, she continued to live like a zombie. Finally, she was relieved when she received the medical certificate for the diagnosis of allergic recovery.

The first thing he wanted to do was to show it to Li Chenxi, but he wandered around the entrance of the hospital.

She knew how much he hated her.

Furthermore, every single word that he had ruthlessly said to her before still lingered in Shu Yao's mind. The fingers that held onto the bag tightened continuously.

That night, Li Chenxi returned home for a rare occasion. Shu Yao specially took a sweet potato and made some Xi Mi Lu for supper.

He had always liked this sort of dessert, she remembered, ever since he was very young.

Shu Yao happily carried a bowl of Xi Mi Lu and knocked on the door. However, after knocking a few times, he still didn't get a response.

She quietly pushed open the study door, thinking to put down the sugar water first. After he had eaten his fill, she would bring up the matter of her recovery and taking back the child.

The window of the study room was opened, and the night wind blew gently, causing the documents on the desk to be messed up. Shu Yao bent down to pick them up, carefully arranging them in order, but accidentally touched the keyboard, causing the black screen of the computer to light up.

The page that stopped on the screen was Facebook. Li Chenxi had never played with this kind of thing before, and the homepage was not his.

It was Han Cai Ling.

As for the photo album that he was looking at, Li Chenxi was smiling while hugging her under the shade of a tree. The two of them were dressed in milky-white couple clothes, and their expressions were natural.

The photo should have been from a few years ago. From the time of posting, it could be seen that it hadn't been deleted even after such a long time. What did it mean?

Shu Yao lowered her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling a sharp pain in her chest.

"What are you looking at?"

Li Chenxi only wrapped himself in a bath towel and came out, coldly looking at the lady beside the table.

Shu Yao was shocked, her legs slipped, and just as she was about to fall, the man took big steps, the long arm with bright eyes and fast hands fished, grabbing her delicate arm, at the same time the two of them spun around, he locked her soft little body into her embrace.

Their skin clashed against each other, he was bare-chested, and there were even droplets of water on his wet upper body. She could clearly feel his firm muscles, his obvious male aura, and the distinct lines on his sexy body.

The man's pair of deep eyes were as if they were steamed in water. They were surrounded by a faint mist, making it difficult to find any depth and haziness as he stared fixedly at her.

Shu Yao swallowed her saliva, turned her face away, and felt as if her heart had hit a mischievous little deer, charging in all directions.

Li Chenxi glanced at the computer, seeing the pages and pictures on the screen that he had forgotten to close, his handsome face immediately sank.

A trace of ice cold ruthlessness poured out from the tall and big body, he used one hand to pick up her chin, it was not much strength, but it was enough to lift up her face, and force Shu Yao to look at him. The thin lips moved slowly, "Who allowed you to touch my computer?"

Shu Yao was startled, she took out her phone from her pocket and quickly typed in a sentence, "I accidentally touched it."

"Accidentally?" Li Chenxi seemed to have touched on a funny word, his low and mellow voice sounded again, it was hard to tell whether he was happy or sad.

She pursed her lips and faced the man's ice-cold eyes. Her heart trembled slightly.

"I'm sorry."

She typed in another sentence.

He was most afraid of angering him, or else, would really not be able to endure the consequences!

Li Chenxi's gaze was deep and serene, and only after looking deeply at her for a moment did he let go of her hand, and at the same time, quickly blurted out two words — —

"Get out!"

Shu Yao did not dare delay, and reacted, quickly turning and leaving the study room.

Looking at the woman's flustered figure, Li Chenxi couldn't help but think of her blushing cheeks and her embarrassed little expression. He frowned, picked up the bowl of sweet water on the table and took a small sip.

Suddenly, Li Chenxi's handsome face changed unpredictably, and a myriad of emotions surfaced in his eyes that were as profound as mystery.

In the room next door, when the door closed, Shu Yao covered her burning cheeks and leaned on the door, nervous to the point that she couldn't control herself.

But after calming down, he recalled the photo in his computer. A trace of bitterness surfaced in his heart.

Suddenly, he forgot about the medical records in his pocket.

In the morning of the next day, Li Chenxi changed his clothes and went downstairs. He ironed his suit shirt, and held onto his suit jacket with one hand.

When he arrived at the dining room, his cold gaze was fixed on the woman who was busy cooking breakfast with the nanny. Her delicate back revealed the feminine beauty and gentleness of a woman in the Jiangnan River, her head was slightly lowered, and a few strands of jet-black hair slipped behind her ears.

He searched his memory carefully, going through countless cycles, yet he couldn't find any fragments related to her.

But last night, the taste of that bowl of sweet water, was it because of his taste buds?!

Shu Yao walked over with the porridge that she had just cooked and placed it on the table, interrupting Li Chenxi's train of thoughts.

She walked up to him and took out the medical chart from before. As she handed it to him, her eyes sparkled as if she was hiding too much hope.

The man received it with his long bony hands. He glanced at the medical report and threw it on the table. With a cold voice, he asked, "What's wrong?"

She pointed to the final results column on the chart and ran the words over and over.

Li Chenxi looked up, "You want to say that you've recovered from your illness, right?"

Shu Yao quickly nodded.

"So?" His mood was obviously not high, and his clear and cold eyes were filled with dead silence.

She bit her lower lip, and without knowing why, she lowered her head and uneasily typed in a few words into her phone, "I want to pick up Li Zheng."

Waiting for him to recover, only a few seconds, yet it felt like a century had passed. Not wanting to miss every single expression on his face, Shu Yao's clear as a pond eyes tightly stared at him.

But what waited for him was only Li Chenxi knitting his eyebrows tightly together. He stood up extremely quickly, picked up his suit jacket, and walked towards the profound entrance as he wore it.

"We'll talk about it later!"

The two icy cold words were the final answer he gave, indifferent and cold.

Her heart thumped fiercely on the ground.

Li Chenxi originally wanted to go out, but as soon as he walked out of the profound entrance, his slender figure suddenly stopped.

A babbling voice entered Shu Yao's ears. The familiar childish voice made her naturally freeze for a moment, and when she raised her eyes, she saw Han Cai Ling carrying her son, who she had parted from for several days, enter the villa.

Zheng Er leaned into Han Cai Ling's embrace, and her mischievous little hands grabbed onto her long hair as they continuously played around in circles.

Han Cai Ling was not angry, and just hugged him, smiling brightly as she walked over to Shu Yao and placed the child in her arms, "Come, Zheng Er will be carried by mother, okay?"

Shu Yao held the child and looked at Han Cai Ling with a disordered expression, an indescribable feeling.

The other party smiled and explained, "When I went to visit Aunt, I saw Zheng Er, so I carried him back for Miss Shu!"

Pausing, he looked at Shu Yao's dull eyes, then continued, "I didn't do anything wrong, right?"
