CH 12.3

"Su zhan…," Bai Xingfan said while smiling helplessly.

Su Zhan: "Is my sister by your side? If she is by your side, you should go away! Don't let her know about this!"

Su Yan frowned as she listened to her brother’s words, ‘did something happen at home?’

Bai Xingfan glanced at Su Yan, and she signalled him to continue asking.

Bai Xingfan calmly replied to the phone: "Ok, I've already gone too far, she can’t hear. You tell me."

"Brother Bai, I got into a fight with Xie Yu, and now I’m locked up in the security room of Bo'ai Hospital, Xie's family is blocking the door now, can you come and get me? I dare not tell my family, they will definitely scold me..."

Xie Yu's father was treated at Dongf's top private hospital, Bo'ai Hospital. 

"Su Zhan… Why do you want to fight with him? Su Zhan… can we fight with them? Wait until I catch up with you. I’ll give you a good beating." Su Yan shouted into the phone, furiously startling both Su Zhan and Bai Zingfan.

Su Yan, according to Bai Xingfan, had always been a gentle girl. Although she occasionally had a mischievous side, he never thought that she would have such a powerful side.

Su Yan saw that Bai Xingfan was looking at her with a shocked expression and immediately felt ashamed. So she tried to control her anger: "If  you have such a stupid brother, you will also become a shrew in an instant."

"My brother, Xinglan, is also the same as Xiaozhan." With a helpless smile, Bai Xingfan said.

Su Yan thought about it, and it seemed that there was nothing wrong... 

"Sister, how can you speak ill of me behind my back? Do you think I’m that stupid? I am the champion of the national programming contest! No, wait! Who told you to eavesdrop on our speech?! How could you do this?!" Su Zhan on the other side of the phone began to complain.

When Su Yan heard her brother’s words her temper began to rise again, and Bai Xingfan, who saw that, stepped forward and spoke to Su Zhan before Su Yan spoke.

"Okay, I understand, don’t worry, I’ll be there quickly." 

After Bai Xingfan hung up the phone, Su Yan could not help but complain about her brother: "Does he have a brain? He thinks that he is too powerful to go against the Xie family. Isn’t he looking for his death?" 

Bai Xingfan immediately began to comfort her: "Okay, don't be angry, Xiao Zhan is only twenty years old, impulsiveness is inevitable, and he also went to Xie Yu because he wanted to vent your anger for you."     

Su Yan was still angry: "He is just stupid! He has no self-knowledge!"     

Bai Xingfan followed her words and said: "Well, I also think he is a bit stupid, but no matter how stupid he is, he must be rescued first, right? "

Su Yan was certain that getting her brother out of the Xie family first should always be the top priority.

However, she had no desire to speak to the Xie family right now because the thought of meeting Xie Yu would make her feel confined and tormented.

The negative effects of the wedding quickly returned, and the mentality that had been rebuilt over the previous four days quickly crumbled.

"Don’t be afraid, I'll accompany you." Bai Xingfan's voice was gentle and determined, with a stabilising power.

Su Yan looked at him involuntarily.

His eyes are dark and deep, with an innate sense of aloofness and oppression, which could cause others to fall uncontrollably into his deep gaze as if sinking into a dark night abyss.

She couldn't say no to his kindness this time."Thank you."

"You're welcome." He replied softly.

Bai Xingfan called the driver. The driver quickly drove back to the manor.

Forty minutes later, the black Bentley parked in front of the main entrance of Bo'ai Hospital.

On the way to the hospital, Su Yan didn’t say a word. She was thinking about how to deal with this matter. Bai Xingfan had nothing to do with this matter, so she didn’t want him to get his hands dirty interfering with it. But he had already accompanied her here, how could she have the nerve to let him stay in the car and wait for her?

After struggling for a long time, she said cheekily: "I..."

"Go, I'll wait for you in the car."

Su Yan was stunned, staring at him blankly.

Before she could say anything, he grasped what she was trying to say and offered to stay in the car with her so that she wouldn't feel at all ashamed.

She eventually flashed a sheepish smile and said, "You embarrass me."

“Go, Xiao Zhan is still waiting for you,”  Bai Xingfan urged in a loving voice as he raised the corners of his mouth.

"Yes." Su Yan didn't say anything again. To be polite, she quickly got out of the car and ran towards the main entrance of the hospital.

Only Bai Xingfan and the driver were left in the car.

The driver glanced at the rearview mirror, cautiously checked the face of Bai Xingfan in the back seat, and tentatively said, "Dr. Song sent a message just now, saying that there are many Xie family members. Ms. Su may not be able to handle it by herself and will be bullied."

"It's better this way," Bai Xingfan looked at Su Yan's slender back that was fading away outside the window, and casually pointed his slender index finger on the armrest box: "It will allow her to see through the true face of Xie's family."
