38 old man Charles chapter 38

It was the beginning of a new day and the new residents were waking up from their new homes.Manging to actually get a good night's rest and have both a shower and good food to eat.Considering they were use to munching on nearly expired cans of food and the wild life in the forest.

The few who woke up early also saw zack and Alex training with each other with zack throwing fist as fast as bullets,whilst Alex shot multiple sharp spikes 2m long aiming right for zack.Howerver zack manged to dodge and even break some of the spikes considering zacks been training longer.

However they didn't take it to seriously as it was just training and trying to know the limitations of the skills they posses.As for Luther he was going around the camp making sure all the newly awakens residents were settling in well.

"hey there I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay here unlike the others I'm happy we can stay."-?

"oh yes well thank you..ur sorry but I don't know your name?"-LUTHER

"oh well I'm Charles crackle,and I'm here with my granddaughter..we weren't able to settle down in the old camp.But here is much better for both of us because of my old age and the granddaughter being to young to understand the world."-CHARLES

"well...i was here to ask you about that as well you see the food you provide I'm very grateful for please don't misunderstand.However they are quite bland and dull"-CHARLES

"Its just that I use to hunt game a few years back and I did it for 12 years so i hope you can allow me to have some equipment.To go hunting since it breaks my heart seeing my precious granddaughter eating food with no flavour. While I'm just sitting around with the skills to catch delicious meats like rabbit and hare or deer but am not doing anything.Aswell I'm still very grateful for what you have given us and I know we're in ruff times so I just wanted to ask.Since I know she'll need the best i can get so she can withstand the monsters out there."-CHARLES

Luther had to think for a few seconds before looking at the old man to he really couldn't blame him since the food they bought were meant to last.

"yes I can do that since if I can hide from animals then humans who are just running around barley paying attention.Will not notice and I doubt many people are nearby this is quite remote"-CHARLES

"yes and 3rd to stop people from getting greedy and jealous you must give at least 1 of every 3 kills you get"-LUTHER

"hmm well that's fine since it just me and the granddaughter we won't be eating like animal's. ha ha"-CHARLES

"ok great why don't you follow me and I'll get you some hunting supplies and lucky you we also have a hunting rifle.Though it quite old so you may have to work around that ha ha sorry"-LUTHER

"Its fine it's fine I'm just happy you gave me the chance Luther"-CHARLES

"no problem Charles who knows if you show some promise maybe you can gain some of the powers me and the others have"-LUTHER

"oh well I'm 56 but don't worry my body's at least 42 why do you ask?"-CHECK

"well I wanted to a sign a guard to follow just in case don't worry Its creepy how quiet they can be"-LUTHER

"gladly accepted I'll have someone to talk to though I doubt he'll talk back ha ha ha"-CHARLES

After they finished the conversation they had arrived and started assigning the equipment Charles would use.Zack was also there and wrote down everything taken to make sure no one trys anything rash.

They then sent off Charles and his guard who before he left introduced us to his granddaughter Molly who was 12 years old.She would be looked after by their neighbours who Charles agreed to give them some meat he catches.

After going back to camp luther went over to Alex's 'lab' which was just a big tent covered in plastic and surrounded by fences and lights.

Luther held the flap door open as he walked in seeing different items scattered on a large table while multiple blue eyed scientist were walking around.Doing different task like carrying equipment or 'testing' object which was just them touching stuff.And seeing if they can mutate and gain it's properties which became a big interest of Alex's.

Luther had to admit it was a bit weird and funny seeing them prod rocks and metal or roses and even silk.

"Oh look who it is...why are you here?"-ALEX

"what are you saying I'm just checking on you guys"-LUTHER
