I knocked on Tang Jun's office door as my mind started to think about how I should talk to her.

"Come in." Tang Jun's voice came from inside, I pushed open the door and walked in.

When I went in, Tang Jun stared at me, her eyes were filled with ill intent, as though the previous time we were talking about it had already collapsed, so why did I still dare to come.

I sat opposite of Tang Jun with a smile, then said, "Boss Tang, although the last time we met was not very pleasant, I still hope that we can get along peacefully."

Tang Jun looked at me contemptuously, then continued to read the document, as if I did not exist.

"Boss Tang, I came here today because I have something to discuss with you." I don't care how Tang Jun treats me, I just directly said what I wanted to say, "Actually, I'm not afraid of Yan Siqi at all. I'm very clear that you intentionally sent Yan Siqi here to cause trouble."

Before I could finish speaking, Tang Jun smashed the documents on the table with a "pa" sound. I thought she would say something, but she didn't say anything, she just opened another document.

"But according to our previous agreement, I must be by Zhou Si's side. Only then will I be able to better grasp the rhythm of the entire plan." I continued, "If you act rashly, it's very likely that you'll let Zhou Si chase me away."

Perhaps because my words were too complacent, she put her hands on the table, looked up at me, and said contemptuously, "I'll look for someone else after you leave."

"Even if you think that I'm kind and won't let these tricks out of the Sheng Shi Group, can you still find such a good employee like me?" I said, and as soon as I said it I felt a little smug, but since the two negotiations today had been about my value, I naturally had to make myself sound more valuable so that no one would think I was a piece of trash and throw me out.

I thought that Tang Jun would make fun of me, but she didn't. She looked at me and suddenly revealed a smile. I couldn't tell if she was praising me or mocking me. Since I couldn't tell, then I'll just praise her then.

I smiled and said, "So, Boss Tang, since I am still of some use for now, I hope that you can continue to look after Yan Siqi, so as to prevent her plans from causing any more trouble. Although I don't think that she will be able to cause any big waves, it is still quite troublesome."

Tang Jun smiled and did not speak.

"Boss Tang, then I'll be leaving first." I stood up and said, "Boss Tang, always working overtime is not good for your health. Moreover, this company isn't yours for the time being.

After I said this, I turned around and left. Initially, I could have easily left, but it was all Yan Siqi's fault for causing me to sprint. Right now, I could only limp out of Tang Jun's office.

"What happened to your foot?" Tang Jun asked from behind me.

"I was pushed away by Yan Siqi." I turned my head and smiled at Tang Jun.

Tang Jun smiled, the most brilliant smile I have seen on her face lately.

Well, given how depressed you've been lately, it's not like you and I are missing a piece of meat to entertain.

The moment I walked out of Tang Jun's office, I heard a burst of laughter coming from inside. I sighed and walked towards the elevator.

My ankle was still tingling, and I had to walk a few steps to the wall to get some rest. Fortunately, almost everyone in the company was off duty, and only a few people were still working overtime.

I took the elevator downstairs and sat in a chair in the lobby. I didn't want to take a cab back, either because of my illness or because what had happened today had taken so much effort that I hadn't wanted to act coquettish for a long time.

Although I am not young anymore, but who said that only young people can act coquettishly.

"Zhou Jin, I've sprained my ankle. Can you come to the company?" I dialed Zhou Jin's number and said with a smile.

"Why did you twist your foot?" Zhou Jin's voice sounded from the other end of the phone. Worried, he asked, "I'll pick you up at the company right away."

"Alright." I hung up.

I was sitting in the lobby, surrounded by glass, and it was getting dark outside, and the traffic was heavy, and everyone was walking in a hurry, and everybody wanted to get home, but I was enjoying myself, and I was waiting for my favorite person to pick me up.

Even though I had gone through so many fights and scheming during the day, as long as Zhou Jin was by my side, I felt very happy. If one day Zhou Jin betrayed me, I would probably torture him to the point where he would rather die.

He's mine. I've always believed that.

I waited a long time for Zhou Jin to come, probably because of the traffic jam at night. I half lay down on the chair, feeling like I was falling asleep, the pain in my ankle and the stabbing pain in the back of my head coming from time to time.

"Xia Ying, why did you fall asleep here?" I heard someone call my name. It was a soft, gentle sound, like the sound of a breeze on the face during a nap.

I had a vague feeling that someone was smoothing my hair. His movements were gentle and careful, and I liked the feeling of being treated like a treasure.

I slowly opened my eyes. He looked at me and smiled. Maybe I wasn't awake yet. I didn't know why, but I felt like his entire body was glowing. Was this just my imagination? Or am I too old to be hallucinating.

"What's the matter with you?" Zhou Jin put his hand on my face. His face had a questioning look, as if he was a big dog who wanted to lie on top of you to protect you when he was sick.

"It's nothing. I was too tired today." I stretched out my hands. "Just a kiss."

Zhou Jin smiled and kissed my forehead. His kiss was as gentle as a butterfly's kiss on my forehead.

I reached for his collar, kissed him hard on the lips, pried open his teeth, and forced his tongue against mine. I took his face in my hands, and I could feel his face grow warm.

I only let him go when I saw he was on the verge of losing his breath, and Zhou Jin gave me a resentful look, as if he was being bullied.

"Alright, I'm satisfied." "Here, carry me home."

Zhou Jin gave me a helpless look before finally squatting down as if he couldn't do anything to me.

I climbed up on his back and motioned for Zhou Jin to pick up my shoes.

"Do you have anything against me?" I tilted my head to ask Zhou Jin, who was sitting on his back. Because I was too close, I could clearly see that his ears had turned red, and he really wanted someone to bite him.

"Nope." Zhou Jin replied obediently.

"Let's go." As I said this, I took a bite, but Zhou Jin's hands, which were holding my legs, instantly relaxed. Luckily, I managed to grab hold of his body, otherwise, I would probably go to the hospital for an emergency treatment later.

"Don't move." Zhou Jin was a little angry.

"Then I'll eat you when I get back."
