Name:Wife's Lover Author:
Honestly speaking, I always felt that I had a lot of self-restraint. Even though I met quite a few bitches along the way, the only person that made me want to beat him to death was this man in front of me, Yan Zhan.

Ye Qing's entire body trembled when she heard the man's words. Her face was deathly pale, and her fingers were tightly pinching the banquet bag. I saw that the veins on the back of her hand were popping out.

She stared wide-eyed at her relatives, her eyes shining, whether from excitement or the desire to cry.

In the countryside, there were women who could not be given a place because she was a woman, and in this grand hall, there were women who, because she was a woman, could not inherit what she was supposed to inherit.

Why?

I bit my lips and took a step forward, pushing away the relatives that were surrounding Ye Qing and pulled her behind me. My face revealed a smile, "What kind of things do you guys think you are, and what rights do you have to criticize someone else's family property? Even if you were to take it to heart, Ye Family's property doesn't have anything to do with you guys.

I opened my mouth to utter vulgar, vicious words that were totally out of place in the atmosphere of the hall, but what they had just said was also out of place in the ornate hall.

Just when they wanted to say something, I immediately interrupted them and said, "Don't have unrealistic fantasies about things that don't belong to you. Let me remind you here, even if you donate the Ye Family's money in the future, you wouldn't get a single cent."

I looked around. When I first held Ye Qing's hand, she wanted to struggle free, but she quickly let me hold her hand.

The eyes of the Ye relatives were on me. Their eyes were vicious, but I wasn't afraid.

"Who are you?" A relative asked, "This is a matter of our Ye family, it has nothing to do with you."

Before I could say anything, Ye Qing, who was standing by my side, stepped forward and said, "Right, this is a matter of my Ye Qing family, and the property is also ours, it has nothing to do with you."

I turned to look at the side of Ye Qing's face. Her expression was still ugly, but a little more spirited than before.

She stared at those who were eyeing her property until they left.

I let go of Ye Qing's hand and planned to leave this place.

"Xia Ying..." Ye Qing called out my name.

When I turned to look at her, she smiled and said, "Would you like a drink?"

I looked at her and finally nodded.

When we reached the balcony, I grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from a nearby table.

We leaned on the railing of the balcony. Ye Qing held a cup of wine in her hand. Under the moonlight, the dark red wine looked like a cup of blood.

The cool night wind blew on us, and the summer passed.

The smell of tobacco entered my nostrils. In the hazy smoke, Ye Qing turned her head to look at me.

"Why are you helping me?" Ye Qing asked me. Her voice was very soft and filled with suspicion.

I took a drag on my cigarette and tapped my finger on the railing. "I just don't like them. I'm not helping you."

Ye Qing looked at me without saying a word.

"My father is not well, my mother doesn't know much. If I don't come back, my family will be gone." Ye Qing said. She seemed to be trying to ease the awkward atmosphere between us.

"Yes." I asked, "So you came back for family matters? "Not for Zhou Jin?" I took another drag on my cigarette, and the smoke rose into the air.

Ye Qing laughed, then said, "You keep looking at Zhou Jin so closely, where did this Yan Siqi come from?"

I didn't say anything.

Ye Qing stopped smiling and said, "I still like Zhou Jin very much. Although I may take him away this time, but the most important thing is my family's company, this was fought for by my father." She glanced over her shoulder at a relative standing not far from us. "I'm not going to let them take it."

I looked at Ye Qing, and Ye Qing smiled as she continued, "I have invited Zhou Jin to the banquet too, but he did not come." She continued, "Even if you help me, I'll still take Zhou Jin from you, and I'm very interested in Zhou Jin's current project."

I smiled at the figure of her back as she turned around to leave. I know what Ye Qing was thinking in her heart.

Maybe I should talk to Zhou Jin. This was something I had decided long ago, but nothing Zhou Jin could say could change my decision.

I donned my jacket and walked out of the banquet hall. Before I left, I intentionally looked at Ye Qing's relatives, who were still standing in a circle, and were probably discussing how to get Ye Qing's property.

I sat in the car with the neon lights flashing outside the windows. The lights were reflected on the glass, creating a unique pattern of light and shadow.

I took my cell phone out of my handbag and dialed Zhou Jin's number. Previously, I didn't think anything was wrong until Zhou Jin left me. Only then did I realize that my life had always been centered around Zhou Jin.

The phone rang for a long time before it was picked up. Following which, Zhou Jin's slightly tired and dispirited voice could be heard.

"Zhou Jin, where are you?" I asked bluntly.

"I'm home." His voice was soft, like he was acting coquettishly, but also like he was complaining about being wronged.

"Which one?" I asked again.

"My own house." Zhou Jin said.

"Wait for me." I hung up.

The car quickly turned around and headed for Zhou Jin's apartment. I stood in front of his house with a shopping bag filled with digestible food.

I rang the bell, and it took a moment for the door to open and Zhou Jin to appear in front of me.

He looked so decadent. He was leaning against the door, wearing a rumpled pajamas, his hair a mess, and he was looking at me with eyes as wet as an abandoned puppy's.

We looked at each other, and when I opened my mouth to say something, he threw his arms around me, gentle and careful.

He bent down and put his forehead on my shoulder. "I miss you so much," he said, a little dully.

I patted him on the back, as if comforting a baby, and said, "Zhou Jin, stop struggling."
