"He …" Ye Qing hesitated for a moment before saying, "After meeting you this afternoon, Zhou Jin was a little unhappy. After returning home, he said that he was going out to buy something, and had not come back until now."

I turned to look out the window. The moon beyond the glass was obscured by clouds, and I could hear the wind blowing the curtains, making my heart skip a beat.

"Did you call him?" "What about his family and friends?"

"I did." Ye Qing said, "They all don't know where he is."

"I know." Just as I finished speaking, I heard a sound coming from the living room. I think it was Xie Zongming coming out to drink water or go to the toilet, but it was his voice that also woke me up.

I grabbed onto my blanket, and calmly spoke to Ye Qing who was on the phone, "You keep looking for him, I'm going to sleep first. I have nothing to do with him anymore, he won't look for me again."

Ye Qing seemed to be at a loss for words, she did not immediately hang up, and instead pondered for a while before asking me, "You don't have a heart?"

"Nope." I hung up.

I sat on the bed with my knees in my arms and my bare feet on the blanket. I heard the sound of the bathroom running outside the door, as well as the sound of Xie Zongming's footsteps returning to the bedroom.

I lay on the bed repeatedly told myself that from then on, whatever happened to Zhou Jin had nothing to do with me, but I still had no way to sleep peacefully.

I've seen such a beautiful scenery before, and how I would be willing to stay here after returning to the bottom of the well.

The wet wind was blowing in my face from outside the window. It was going to rain.

I covered my face with the quilt, wishing I could fall asleep. At least there was nothing in the dream that bored me.

After I lay down, I had been half asleep and half awake. In my trance, I seemed to be able to feel Zhou Jin by my side. He hugged me.

"Xia Ying, are you up yet?" After an unknown period of time, Xie Zongming's voice suddenly came from outside the door.

I opened my eyes. It was dark outside and it looked early, but the clock on the wall told me it was after nine in the morning.

I pulled back the covers and sat up, feeling as if I hadn't slept at all. The dream made me uneasy.

"What's wrong?" I walked out of the room and asked Xie Zongming, "I'm feeling a little uncomfortable."

Xie Zongming looked at me and said, "I just ate two pieces of bread."

"Yes." "No," I said.

"Then I'll go to work." When he spoke, his expression was not very good. The housewife who did not prepare breakfast for her husband was a sinner.

"Yes." I ignored him and took a piece of bread to rest on the sofa.

The air outside the window became darker and darker, the wind brought a damp smell into the room, making my skin feel sticky. Lightning streaked across the clouds, and before long thunder rumbled in the distant sky, and the rain beat like beans on the glass, soaking the curtains.

I hastily stood up and closed the window, wondering if Zhou Jin had returned home.

In the end, I couldn't help but call Ye Qing.

"Zhou Jin went over to your place?" Ye Qing asked me the moment she picked up the phone.

"Nope." I said coldly, "Have you found Zhou Jin yet?"

After a moment of silence, Ye Qing said, "I'm not there yet, and he hasn't returned either. I can't find him anywhere right now."

Ye Qing said with a choked tone. Maybe she was really in despair right now.

"I know." Just as I was about to hang up, Ye Qing suddenly interrupted me and said, "He didn't come back last night. If he went to look for you, I beg you to tell me, I'm very worried for him."

I answered and hung up.

The rain outside the window was getting heavier and heavier. I sat in my room and thought about where Zhou Jin might go.

Where on earth would he go?

Could something have happened to him?

I thought of his haggard face, and the more I thought about it, the more worried I became. Finally, I changed my clothes and walked out of the house with my umbrella.

I'm going to find him.

I want to find him.
