Chapter 564 Funeral of the Forest.

The cold-faced man shifted his aim slightly. The barrel showed the lone tree, the hiding spot of the white-haired youth. His teammate fought valiantly against Zachary but was badly losing.

"Whooo…" Breathing slowly and steadily, the barrel stopped shaking, and he got ready to fire. The fingertip grazed the trigger, and then he added more pressure. Slowly, the trigger moved, and the bullet started shaking.

'Time to die, weakling.' The cold-faced man pulled the trigger, releasing the bullet. As soon as he did, he also used one of his skills. Wall Breaker.

Bang!

"Hmm?" The cold-faced man heard a loud bang, but his vision captured the entire forest, and he couldn't see any bullet flying toward him.

SWOOOSH!

The tips of his ears perked up. A loud noise was coming from above. He lifted his head to see at the sky, and there he saw it, a meteor descending.

'I see now!' The cold-faced man screamed internally, 'The bullet wasn't shot towards me, but to the sky, and the bullet transformed into a meteor! Because the meteor's weight couldn't allow it to go any higher, it comes down instead!'

"Whew, that's crazy." Zachary grinned as he saw the deadly meteor. Then, turned to look at Isaac and was surprised to see him gone. Only star-shaped particles were left.

He turned back to the solitary tree and saw his bullet cruising through the tree effortlessly. However, he didn't receive any notification of injuring anyone. For some reason, his bullet missed!

A shower of star particles appeared some distance away, hidden deep in the middle of tall trees. Isaac landed on top of a tree branch and aimed toward the cold-haired man, oblivious about his current position.

Placing the finger on the trigger, he immediately fired.

Bang!

"Where?!" The cold-faced man's expression started crumbling. He turned towards the loud sound and saw a flying bullet. Without even taking a single breath, he jumped down the tree. After landing on the tree, he turned towards the horde of trees and started firing.

Bang, bang!

Each bullet was infused with one of his skills. The first bullet shone in radiant crimson, Homing Bullet. The second bullet started accelerating in speed, Speed Bullet.

"Wraith's Shot, Human Version." Isaac stayed put and allowed the two bullets to fly through him. After that, his skill ran out, and the Homing Bullet suddenly steered around in the air and flew straight back at him.

The cold-faced man's lips broke into a smile.

"Ice Shot, Freezing Era." Isaac exhaled cold breaths, freezing the air into dangerous temperatures. Even the scorching hot bullet froze while in mid-air.

Raising his gun, Isaac pulled the trigger.

Bang!

The cold-faced man jumped to safety behind a lump of rocks.

As soon as he did, Isaac stopped firing and smiled, "You forgot something quite important…"

Isaac turned to the sky. The flaming meteor descended and landed on top of the forest.

BOOOOOM!

The earth shook, causing several battles to stop in the realm. Everyone felt shocked as the flaming meteor destroyed a big portion of one of the forests.

'Flaming meteor… could it be him?' Luna thought while casting several spells, engulfing her opponents in swamp green-colored vines. Queen Cecilia watched from the sidelines, munching on the food seeds innocently.

Zachary smirked at the ridiculous display. The meteor only destroyed their neighboring forest, but the heat still traveled all the way to them. The destruction was massive, a big crater appeared on the ground, and half of the mountain was gone.

The dark-haired man looked to be stunned. He received notification that his teammate was dead. The cold-faced man, who seemed incredibly strong, dead just like that.

"Hey, let's end this. I am bored." Zachary's bored voice sounded behind him. Then, the dark-haired man's vision changed to pitch-black, and from the depths of the darkness, the face of a beautiful and cold Giantess appeared. Like flickering lights, the face appeared and disappeared.

"A-A-AHHH!" The dark-haired man screamed in horror and turned to pixels. While he often induced fear in others. Now, he felt what true fear was.

Zachary's claw-like hands disappeared, and his nightly eyes returned to it's previous dull form.

"Stop hiding, Wraith," Zachary said while swiping his hair back. His emotionless eyes turned to the tree top, and in there, Isaac watched with a frown.

'Strange…' Isaac leaped off the tree and landed on the ground. Looking at Zachary, he asked, "What did you do to him? He suddenly screamed and disappeared."

"It shall be a secret!" Zachary winked playfully, and then his face broke out of the smile. The firestorm slowly quenched, disappearing and leaving only a trail of ashes, burnt trees, and pillars of smoke.

One after another, the firestorms started disappearing. Soon later, the second event ended with layers of destruction. Most of the realm was burnt to crisp, a thick cloud of smoke covering the sky like a blanket of gray moss.

Zachary and Isaac returned to the cave to check the points total.

[Points: 5656]

"Nice." Zachary showed thumbs up and cleaned the dusty glass slightly. The clock continued ticking down, slowly and steadily.

Isaac turned his gaze away and left the cave. After walking through the burnt forest, he arrived at the endless grassland. The beautiful grass swayed in the wind, still unchanged.

Smoke, on the other hand, caused the vision to be misty, resulting in a rather unattractive and crude appearance to the scene.

It wasn't only him who came to see the destruction. Several figures stepped out of the burnt forests, their faces covered in a thin veil. They looked around before returning back to the caves.

Isaac grabbed a handful of ash and returned to the cave. After sitting on his bed, he littered the ash across the ground, letting it seep into the small crevices.

Zachary rested his chin on his palm, quietly watching Isaac. Usually, his emotionless eyes hid his true thoughts. However, now he truly felt confused, and his eyes showed it.

'Strange man. Funeral for the forest?'
