Chapter 440 The Grand Auction (1)

Zip!

Marvin unzipped the bag, took a headset-like item from there, and gave it to Isaac with a grin, "You probably gonna need this."

Isaac held the Mythical VR Helmet in his grasp, and it hadn't changed even a bit. The visor was still clear, and the frame was unharmed.

He then looked at Luna, who was hugged by clingy Alice.

"Are you ready?"

"Hmm, ready for what?" Luna managed to escape Alice's hug and asked curiously.

"To get rid of your illness." Luna's eyes showed the reflection of Isaac's smile. Her eyes rippled with her heart pounding loudly in her chest.

Alice and Sophia looked confused.

Marvin's eyebrow jumped, and he wondered what his little brother meant by that.

"U-Umm… Y-Yes…" Luna took her helmet with shaky hands and looked at the legendary VR Helmet. She was a little afraid but tried to utter her courage.

Then, she placed the helmet around her head and was about to press the button that turned it on.

However, Isaac then interjected, "If you play like that, you will hurt your neck."

Luna was sitting on a hospital chair with a thin backrest and no neck rest. She was already a bit hunched, and staying in that position for hours could affect her badly.

"I-I will be fine." Luna's voice shook.

Isaac shifted his body in the bed, making enough space for Luna to fit next to him. He then patted the space next to him and laid down while putting the headset around his face.

Luna's cheeks flushed, and she looked around the room. Alice pouted, Sophia rolled his eyes, and Marvin was taking a picture.

Luna stood up with the helmet in her head. Then, she gently lay down next to Isaac, their shoulders touching each other, and their waists were in touch.

She then pressed the button on the helmet and quickly wanted to enter the game to hide her embarrassment. The looks she was receiving made her want to dig a hole and hide there forever.

Isaac took a deep breath, pressed the button, and closed his eyes. The vision blinked and flashed. Then, both of them stopped moving with emotionless faces.

Creak…

Like clockwork, Isabella and Maxwell entered the hospital. Then they saw two individuals lying on the bed, helmets around their heads.

"I am not sure whether Isaac should be playing," Isabella said worriedly.

"His injuries don't apply to his avatar. He will be fine." Maxwell said with certainty.

Then, Whitelock Family left the hospital room, leaving the two lovebirds alone there. As the door was locked tightly, the room turned dim, and the ice-blue sky began changing shades. Soon, the sky was dark, and stars shone brightly.

"Mmm…" Isaac rubbed his eyes and then saw the ceiling of his bedroom. As soon as he thought about sitting up, he could feel someone rolling next to him.

He turned around to see Luna hiding her face with blushing cheeks and red ears.

"Luna?"

"I am so embarrassed." She replied shyly while showing a side of her face, "I hope your parents didn't see us lying next to each other."

Isaac's lips curved upward slightly, "They seemed to have accepted you. I am glad." He then stood up and offered a hand to Luna. She held his hand and stood up.

Then, he took out the teleportation pearl and wrapped his left arm around Luna's waist. After pulling her closer, he gave a quick peck on her soft pink lips and murmured, "Stronglord's Auction House."

Luna hugged Isaac tightly with flushed cheeks, and then a bright light enveloped the entire room. Soon later, the light disappeared, and the room was empty.

Murmur…

After Isaac and Luna exited the bright light. They were in a middle of an auction house with a bustling lounge. They were standing beside a crowd of people who were trying to rush inside the auction hall.

Isaac was about to find a way out, but then a ringing noise echoed throughout his mind.

Ding! Ding!

[Strength Limit Had Been Removed!]

[Congratulations, Player Wraith!]

'What?!' Isaac quickly checked the interface, and the "MAX" next to the Strength stat was gone. After re-reading the notifications, his eyes shook as he couldn't believe it.

The strength limit that had been haunting him was gone just like that?

"Isaac!" Then, Isaac was shaken awake by screaming Luna. She hugged his arm tightly, fearfully looking around the sea of people. She was dressed in the witch getup and attracted a lot of attention due to her pretty looks.

Isaac shook his head, concentrating on the present, and decided to find out later why his limit had disappeared. While holding Luna's soft hand, he navigated through the people and reached the receptionist's desk.

As soon he arrived before the desk, the receptionist gave a sorry smile and said, "Apologies, sir, but the auction hall had been closed."

"No…" Luna's lips curved downward, and a sad smile appeared. She looked at Isaac and was surprised to see him smiling.

Isaac pulled out a card from his inventory and showed it to the receptionist.

The receptionist's face paled and immediately bowed, "Sorry for my bad manners, please follow me!"

With shocked Luna in tow, Isaac followed after the receptionist, who led them to their VIP Room. It was a room with one desk, a leather couch, and a large one-way mirror.

They could see the auction hall, but no one could see them.

After they were let in, the receptionist apologized one more time and left.

"W-W-What was that?" Luna felt like she was dreaming.

Isaac smiled and fidgeted the card around his fingers. Then, he put it back on the inventory and sat on the couch with Luna.

The auction hall was immensely larger than only a month ago. It could fit easily over 30,000, and the stage was much larger. There were twenty other VIP Rooms, each having a one-way mirror.

Isaac could only see the dark window, while the VIP room guests saw the clear window with a clear view of the stage.

Luna's eyes sparkled as she saw the number of people. She had never seen this many people in one place.

She never visited the Colosseum, where there could be over 100,000 spectators.

Isaac rapped his finger against the armrest and heaved a sigh, 'I have to win the bid… I have to!'
