Chapter 417 City of Priesthood

The bright sun shone down on the sea, the calm waves splattered against the ship's hull, and the sails continued to flap.

Isaac was sitting on the wooden stool, looking over the handrail at the blue sea below. In several instances, he saw a large shadow moving beneath them, but he thought that they were whales due to their shape.

Also, the shadow was too large to be anything else.

However, he forgot one crucial thing. This was White Online and not real-life. This means that this world contains mysterious beings never before seen.

Bam!

A powerful wave pushed the ship to one side, and Murphy, as well as other crew members, suddenly fell down after the violent movement. It was shaking uncontrollably throughout the entire ship, and Isaac was finding it challenging to stay upright.

"We are being attacked!" Murphy shouted, "Take the harpoon!"

One of the crew mates rushed indoors and soon came back with a hand-held harpoon. The harpoon seemed sharp and deadly.

"What is that?" Isaac asked after finally stabilizing.

"The thing that will kill our attacker!" Murphy shouted while looking over the deck, trying to find the shadow of their attacker.

The rest of the crewmates controlled the vessel, trying to sail further away, and some were looking for the target that they were after.

At this point, Murphy noticed a large shadow swimming a little bit further away. At this moment, however, the shadow suddenly turned back and began swimming in the ship's direction.

"HERE!" Murphy's voice attracted the crewmate who held the harpoon.

He quickly rushed and aimed the harpoon toward the enormous shadow. Then, he uttered all his strength to push the trigger.

A spear emerged from the harpoon gun and flew straight towards the shadow. Unfortunately, the shadow was able to submerge further into the water, and the spear missed its target by an indication of meters.

"Damn!" They shouted. Then, the ship was again pushed, and everyone lost their footing. The harpoon flew across the air and landed somewhere on the deck.

Isaac rubbed his head and stood up after getting knocked off his feet. Then, he saw the harpoon lying next to his feet. He took it into his arms and gazed over the board.

As he gazed over the board, the faint shadow from underneath the sea began to reveal itself. The creature was an enormous shark with sharp and pointed teeth. The fin barely peeked above the surface of the water, and it looked like it was about to submerge again.

Isaac instantly aimed and squeezed the trigger with every inch of his strength. The arm holding the harpoon trembled, and then the spear left the barrel.

As the spear tumbled through the air, it followed a straight path to the sea. The spear drilled straight through the shark's enormous body and into its very core.

Isaac's eyes shook at the harpoon's destructive prowess.

Then, the shark stopped moving, and the light dimmed off his eyes. But then, Isaac felt himself getting pulled toward the shark's submerging body!

Isaac slammed his feet into the handrail, trying to stop himself from falling to sea!

"I gotcha, kid!" Out of nowhere, Murphy grabbed his shirt and yanked Isaac back with an incredible display of physical strength.

Then, Murphy snatched the harpoon off Isaac's arms and tied the spear's wire with mechanical gears.

Then, the gears started turning, and the wire tightened. The large body of the shark was now dragging behind the ship.

"Whew…" Isaac fell to the deck with visible exhaustion.

"Good job, kid." Murphy patted his shoulder and went to check that everything was alright within the crew. Then, they all went to check that there wasn't any damage on the ship.

An hour later, everything was repaired and checked out.

Isaac received a great amount of XP from the Shark and leveled up. His current level was now 121, and his ranking was near 300.

"Kid, we have arrived!" Murphy's shout came from indoors.

Isaac stood up and saw a City in the distance. He could see already beautiful buildings and several mountains hosting temples.

Soon, the ship was docked in the harbor. Isaac bid farewells to the fishermen and left through the slippery stairs.

After his feet landed on the wooden harbor, he saw busy-looking fishermen and shipwrights.

At the end of the harbor was the stone path that led to the streets.

The harbor was still surrounded by stores, where everything fishermen needed was sold, food and equipment.

Isaac waved toward Murphy and others. Then, he left the harbor through the stone path.

Within seconds of reaching the streets, he was able to see people dressed in priest robes and coats. In addition to the warm weather, the bright blue sky also added to the beauty of the day.

Buildings in the city were adorned with thick windows that gave a glimpse of their interiors. As Isaac looked around the city, he saw restaurants, inns, hotels, and other businesses bustling with customers.

There were three large mountains situated in the middle of the City. One of them belonged to the Priest faction, and surrounding the mountain were the buildings belonging to their Priests.

Then, there was the mountain belonging to Priestesses, and there were buildings built below the mountain and on top of the mountain.

The mountain's weren't extremely tall, only around a hundred meters.

Then, there was the middle mountain, where one temple was situated. It was the High Temple, which was built in golden colors with square-shaped windows that were adorned against the walls.

There was a stone staircase that led to the top of the building, decorated with a number of small statues depicting different gods. The temple's entrance was crescent-shaped, and the yard was an empty space used for multiple purposes.

There were also the Realm Portals placed around the High Temple's yard. One of them was goldenly shaded, it was a realm portal that took to God's Realm, and Gods used it to enter the City.

Isaac stopped in the middle of the street. Below his feet were the solid pavements, and he could hear children's laughter in his left ear and happy discussions in his right.

'I think this will be where I will spend most of my time from now on… Might as well buy a new house.'

With his wealth, Isaac didn't have difficulties renting or buying a new house. He was still renting the room in Bella's house. It was quite cheap compared to the items he was buying these days.
