Chapter 70 - Worth it!

Tuli took a deep breath as she tried to calm her heart down. It was breathing so frantically that she had trouble breathing.

The words that Ruhan said to her were still ringing in her ears.

"I never wanted to marry her. She trapped me to marry her."

"She never cared about me. All she cares about is my money."

"We never consummated our marriage."

"You are the only I care about."

"I only love you."

Tuli shook her head violently. She didn't want to remember these things. She wanted to forget everything.

Why...why was her heart being so disobedient? Why did it start to beat so violently everytime Tuli thought about him?

Why couldn't she just stop thinking about him?

Tuli knew the answers well. But she didn't want to admit it.

She refused to admit that she had feelings for a married man.

But both she and Ruhan knew that it was a lie.

"I will soon divorce her. Just trust me okay? Give me a chance.". Ruhan pleaded sincerely. He desperately wanted to convince Tuli.

But Tuli didn't reply. Her head was buzzing. If it had been before, she would have been happy beyond imagination after hearing his confession.

But now...her heart ached severely when he confessed to her.

It's been only 5months. They had been married for only 5 months.

Why didn't she meet him earlier? If she had met him earlier, she wouldn't have to carry the guilt of being a 3rd party.

Tuli didn't reply to him. She just walked away from the restaurant amd returned home like a zombie.

After returning home she completely let go of her emotions.

'What do I do? What should I do?' tears began to flow down her cheeks.

She knew what she wanted. She knew what she was about to do. But it was unacceptable to her.

She knew that she was about to commit a sin, but she decided to ignore her conscience.

How rare was it for her to like someone?

The happiness she felt when she was with Ruhan surpassed everything.

Was she supposed to ignore her happiness just because Lisa met Ruhan few months earlier than her?

The answer was 'Yes'. She was supposed to do exactly that. It was the right thing to do.

But she had done the right thing all her life.

She had been thinking logically all her life.

This one time she didn't want to think logically.

She wanted to follow her heart.

This was the only time she wanted to take a leap of faith.

Harsh ringtone interrupted her thought. She knew without seeing that it was Ruhan.

Tuli picked up her phone and took a deep breath. She knew that once she took this step, everything would change.

They would face countless of oppositions.

They would have to face everyone's judgemental stares.

But she was willing to do it.

Because her happiness was worth it.

Ruhan was worth it!!!

Tuli picked up the phone but didn't say anything for a while.

On the other side, Ruhan grabbed his phone tightly. He was so nervous that he forgot to breathe.

Everything he had done for past months was for this moment.

Whether he was successful or not depended on Tuli's response.

So how could he not be nervous?!!

"When?" Ruhan was on the verge of giving up when Tuli finally spoke,

"When are you going to divorce her?"

Ruhan was so happy that he wanted to shout like a fool. But he restrained himself.

"Soon..as soon as possible." he replied gently.

"We will not advance our relationship until you guys are divorced." Tuli said firmly. That was her bottomline.

"Whatever you want. As long as you give me a chance. " Ruhan spoke as he sneered inwardly.

Now that he had convinced Tuli to have a relationship with him, he was sure that he could eventually convince her to co-operate with him.

'Darling, you are going to be my borrowed knife in my battle against Lisa...whether you agree or not.' Ruhan smiled as he thought to himself.
