Chapter 56 - The Impatient One

After meeting everyone,  Lisa returned  her office room only to see pile of files on her desk. She cursed the secretary inwardly.  She had just joined office that day. Did they have to pressurize her that much?

Anyway,  she was accustomed to hard work. She started to go through the files and soon immersed herself in work.

She was not in a hurry. She wanted to take time before she started to make her move to gain influence in the office.

But just because she wasn't impatient, didn't mean that someone else wasn't.

Soon Lisa's concentration broke suddenly by vibration from her other phone. When she saw the caller id, her expressions sank.

'Damn it!! Why is he again!!!'

But...soon she calm herself down and picked up the phone.

"Speak" she didn't bother to greet him on the phone.

"Is this how you greet your old friend? " Siam spoke as if he was really wronged.

"Or now that you have joined Ahmed corporations you think that communicating with me is beneath your status?" Siam mocked her.

"I don't have any time for idle chat. Either get to the point or I am hanging up." Lisa was utterly annoyed with Siam.

"Ok ok" Siam didn't dare to annoy her anymore.

"I just wanted to congratulate you for joining the office. Now it will be easier for us get inside Informations." Siam was smiling ear to ear as if he could clearly see the downfall of Ahmed family.

"I think you forgot something." Lisa spoke calmly, "I have already made it clear that if you want to punish Ruhan, I will help you as much as I can. But if you want to act against the Ahmeds, you can forget about getting any help from me."

"Why?" Siam gritted his teeth, "Ruhan also belongs to the Ahmed family.  If you really want revenge you ought to act against his back up first."

"The one who harmed me was Ruhan. The others are innocent. I know very well how to differentiate between friends and foe. So you had better stop trying to instigate me against my in laws." Lisa spoke sternly.

"In laws? Are you serious?"

Siam finally lost his temper, "You yourself admitted that you don't accept Ruhan as your husband. So how did his parents suddenly become your husband?  Why don't you directly admit that you sold yourself to the Ahmeds for their money? I used to respect you a lot Lisa. I had never imagined that you would sacrifice your dignity for money."

Lisa chuckled. She was really amused by his behaviour.

"Do you realize that we are no longer a teenager? These insulting words can not manipulate me into doing your bidding. Instead,  it might turn me against you." she threatened him with a soft voice.

"You..." Siam wanted to scold her again. But seeing that she was getting angry, he tried a different approach. "It's true that Ruhan is the one who hurt you. But do not forget that he did it by using Mr. Ahmed's influence. Do you really want to forgive him just like that!!!"

Lisa scoffed. This guy was really persistent.

"Uncle tried his best to compensate me for Ruhan's wrongdoings. I am not that ungrateful to return kindness with enmity. I am telling you for the last time...stop trying to use me as a chess piece."

She directly hung up the phone.

On the other side, Siam was rendered speechless by Lisa's arrogance. Why was this so difficult to deal with this girl!!!!

Was she really not scared that he might expose her in front of her in-laws?

Siam gritted his teeth and finally made the hard decision.

He then called his contact in the main branch..the one who informed him about Lisa's joining.

"Hello...what instructions do you have young master." the other side spoke respectfully.

"That girl has just joined office right?" Siam asked coldly.

"Yes...she was introduced today." the spy replied.

"Then make sure that she doesn't see any comfortable days from now on. Until my further instruction, make everything difficult for her. Be careful that she doesn't make any ally in the office." Siam instructed.

"As you wish." the spy chuckled and hung up the phone.

Siam tightly gripped the phone and sighed.

'Lisa..it's you who forced me to make this choice. Don't blame me to be merciless.'
