Chapter 35 - The Chess Piece

Lisa noticed Siam's expression changing from anger to shock then panic. She sneered. Sure enough, this family considered everyone to be a fool. No wonder they could never surpass the Ahmed family. Anyone who underestimates his enemy can never succeed.

If Siam had told her that this little plan of revenge was Samia's plan, she might have believed. Because Samia was really that stupid.

But Siam told her that he was the one who planned it all!!!

As if Lisa would really believe that this crappy plan full of loopholes and contradictions was designed by the heir of the Shikdar family!!

Even Lisa could point out several weakpoints of this plan!!!

Lisa really felt that Siam was insulting her intelligence by trying to fool her like this.

Come on! She might be straightforward and simple minded. But she managed LiCorp for four years okay? You should give her some credits. She was not very cunning but she wasn't foolish either.

"Lisa" Siam gritted his teeth as he tried to calm himself down. "Words can not be spoken mindlessly. The reason I targeted Ruhan was purely for my sister. It has nothing to do with our competition with the Ahmed family." he would never admit about his family's big ambition to defeat the Ahmeds.

Lisa smiled mockingly. She didn't oppose him. Whether he wanted to harm the Ahmed family or not had nothing to do with her.

Besides, having too much knowledge was not necessarily a good thing.

"So what? Your plan was still crappy.

First of all, Ruhan is a man. Even if everyone knows about his promiscuous behaviour, he wouldn't be that affected.

Secondly, mere statement from a victim whether it's me or anyone else is never enough to put Ruhan in jail or punish him.

Thirdly, did you really think that if I accused Ruhan of blackmailing me and abusing his power his family would sit back and do nothing? Within one hour they would proof that I was lying and ruin my reputation. "

Lisa scrutinised Siam's expressions and suddenly her voice became sharp, "How come these points didn't come to your mind too? I find that hard to believe.

Or is it that you wanted to sacrifice me and my reputation since the beginning? "

Siam startled. She wasn't wrong. They knew that there was possibility that the Ahmeds would attack Lisa and ruin her reputation. But they didn't care. It didn't matter if they had to sacrifice one or two girls reputations as long as that would bring them benefit.

In fact, the Shikdars already prepared dozens of beautiful girls that were willing to be used against Ruhan as long as they had money. But for some unknown reason for the last few months Ruhan didn't blackmail any other girl in the hospital. He didn't even have direct dealing with them. His assistants managed everything.

They were about to give up this plan and move to the next plan.

Who knew that in this time Ruhan would suddenly relapse and end up blackmailing Lisa to sleep with him!!

When Siam's spy informed about it, he was ecstatic.

Lisa was a strong woman and had a good background. Her reputation was also good and she didn't have any scandal. If someone like her testified against Ruhan it would be more believable than any other girl of unknown background.

Moreover, unlike their own family, the Akter family always put their family first. If the Ahmeds attacked Lisa, they would do anything to get justice for their daughter. Meanwhile Shikdar family could use their power to escalate the matter and get benefit from their fight.

Of course they would offer Lisa lots of benefits to compensate for the damage of her reputation. They would ensure best treatment for Liton and also invest huge amount of money in LiCorp.

Lisa was already at her home furious and at the same time very much tensed about the preposterous proposal of Ruhan. Imagine her fury when Siam called her to collaborate with him to frame Ruhan with this dumb plan!!

At first, when Lisa heard that Siam wanted to act against Ruhan, she was also secretly happy. Although she already decided that she wouldn't agree to his proposal no matter what...she still held grudge against him. How dare he lust after her!!!

But when she heard the details of the plan, she easily saw through the charade and understood their true intention.

They wanted to use her as a chess piece!!!!!

Lisa was actually one of the reasons Samia was still alive. If she hadn't resuscitated her timely and sent her to the hospital, she would have been already dead.

She also helped them to keep the news wrapped up.

After discharge, although reluctantly, but she gave Samia emotional support. Samia had already estranged from her friends. She didn't have anyone to share her grief with other than Lisa..coupled with the fact that Lisa saved her, she gradually began to depend on Lisa emotionally. If Lisa wasn't patient enough to guide her and accompany her, she would try to commit suicide again!!

Actually, Lisa could be considered their benefactor.

Now instead of rewarding her for her goodworks and thanking her, the family wanted to sacrifice her in their own conflict. This was the classic example of a white eyed wolf.

How could Lisa not be angry and disappointed??!!!

Due to their action, the little bit of sympathy Lisa had for Samia vanished that day.

Since they didn't care at all about their benefactor, why should Lisa care for their daughter?? She was not that charitable!!!

Siam averted his gaze to hide his emotions. He cursed himself. His father warned him not to be rash. He somewhat understood that Lisa wasn't someone easy to deal with. He admired her skill in managing business. He often felt that it would be better if Samia was more like Lisa.

But Siam was overconfident and wanted to act right away. Ruhan was rich as well as handsome. What if Lisa was seduced by him and they lost a golden opportunity?

He contacted Lisa right away.

However, Lisa not only refused to help him but also severely reprimanded him. He was so angry that he cursed that Lisa would suffer from the same fate as Samia. He was really happy when he learnt that Ruhan was targeting LiCorp.

"It's not what you think." Siam said hurriedly. "We consider you as one of us and we would never abandon you." Siam tried to appease Lisa.

Lisa was aware that Siam was acting against Ruhan and she lived with him now.

If Lisa decided to rat them out in a fit of anger, the result would be catastrophic.

"Whatever, " Lisa waved her hand. "I was tired of working hard day and night and humble myself in front of everyone. I wanted to quit for a long time. Since luck had presented a golden opportunity for me to marry into a rich family and live an idle life, how could I not grab it?"

"You....," Siam again became angry. This greedy woman!!! Father was right. He should have never trusted an eccentric person like her.

"But," Lisa interrupted him, "I still didn't forget how Ruhan blackmailed me and jeopardised my brother's life. If you want to act against the Ahmed family, I would not support you. But if you want to punish Ruhan.....then..." she stopped and raised her eyebrows.

Siam was confused. "What does that mean? Does that mean our collaboration is still on??"

"Of course," Lisa smiled. "Samia is a dear friend of mine. How can I forget her? As long as you don't cross line, I don't mind giving you a hand.

But..you have to listen to me. I don't like when anyone goes behind my back. If I have to be a chess piece I might as well be the queen. Understood? "

Siam became excited again. Until now they had considered Lisa an expendable chess piece. But the situation was different now. She lived within her family. Her cooperation could be crucial for implementing their plan. Moreover, they couldn't plan any spy in Ruhan's house. Lisa could be their eyes and ears in the house.

Lisa's marriage with Ruhan seemed like a blessing in disguise. How could he not be happy?!!

"Yes of course. We just want to teach Ruhan a lesson. We won't go overboard. "

Lisa smiled. "Then I'll take your leave. My husband is waiting for mw now." she winked.

Siam seemed to be in a good mood and volunteered to pay for the meal.

"Wish you a happy married life." Siam seemed to bless them but it seemed more like a sarcasm.

Lisa scoffed. She was too lazy to respond to his childish behaviour.

"Good bye."

Lisa sighed and returned to her new home. Her real battle had just begun. The days from now on would be long and exhausting.
