Chapter 455 A Weird Group Goes On A Quest

Chapter 455 A Weird Group Goes On A Quest

"Uwwooooo!! I'm so pumped!!! Let's do something with lots of fighting!" Odeta cheered with her fists raised up in the air.

"Odeta... Please don't make a scene," Katsuki admonished her.

"Ah~ This is a date~ A group date~" Lisa sang to herself behind her.

"Hmmm... This one might earn us quite a bit of money too..." Emilia mused, her Nekomata tail swishing idly behind her.

Delmare stayed silent since she was using her Somatomancy magic to transform her tail into legs but it was obvious from the smile on her face that she was also quite happy about our current situation.

"Mmm... Maybe this one? No... Or maybe..." Princess Tiara muttered with a serious look on her face, half hidden by my [Mask Of Impossible Identity] that I lent her.

Chamie and Harge were standing behind me looking up at the Guild's request board intently as well.

Yeah... So... About that...

I pitched the idea to Katsuki and Odeta about taking the two seniors out for a quest and they were obviously keen on joining me.

Delmare happened to overhear our conversation and asked if it was possible for her to join us as well.

I figured that since we would be basically carrying two newbies along, we wouldn't be doing anything too dangerous so having a third newbie shouldn't be a problem and agreed.

Then Delmare told Lisa about this 'group date' and the Infrid practically begged me to be included as well.

The fact that she asked me while in between my legs made it hard for me to say no... Though she would be joining us in her Infrid form so the seniors wouldn't know that she was Lisa, the Alchemy and Lumenmancy teacher.

Then Lisa went to find Emilia for clothes to wear on our 'group date' and then somehow managed to drag the Nekomata in on it as well.

Emilia did seem a little apologetic about joining us without any warning but she seemed quite determined to be a part of this for some reason.

If I had to guess, it had something to do with money and the fact that her ship would still be in port for the rest of the week at least meant she didn't have anything else to do.

Then as though things couldn't get even more messy... Tiara showed up for her usual training sessions with Odeta a few days prior...

She still trains here as she claimed that while she had the experiences and supposed skills the other versions of her had, her physical body here was unable to keep up with it so she still had to train herself physically.

Odeta then told her about this outing of ours and the princess requested to be allowed to join as well while holding onto my arm with a determined face.

So... That's how things happened the past few days which led to this really odd group gathered in front of the Guild request board right now...

Incidentally, only a third of this group are Mahuns which I found quite ironic considering the country we were in.

Emilia pointed to one of the quests stuck on the board, "We can do this mission. Escorting some posh merchant up to Dragon View Trade City."

Lisa immediately rejected the idea, "No way! You're just going to go and convince them to buy a ticket on your ship and you get to earn from them while also collecting the quest reward too!"

Odeta also shook her head vehemently, "Yeah! That's going to be so boring!! There won't be anything to fight!!"

Emilia scowled at them, "Come on, it's the easiest money you'll ever make! You wouldn't even need to do anything!"

Lisa rolled her eyes, "Oh sureeeee. Let me guess, you're also expecting us to pay for our own tickets too."

"Of course, it's my ship, not your ship."

"Rejected!! This quest is better!!" Lisa cried out, pointing her finger at a particular request that asks for a few Mercenaries to stand guard over a mansion while the owners were out on vacation. n/.0Velb1n

Now it was Emilia's turn to reject the suggestion, "Hell no. You just want this mission so that you can get Lady Aster to fuck you the whole time."

"Hey, if you're jealous, I won't say no to you joining in!"

"No, no, I just don't want to be subjected to the sight of you creaming yourself while we're stuck there."

Katsuki pushed herself in between them before they could continue, "May I remind the both of you that our goal for this outing is to help Mistress's classmates?"

Everyone turned to look at Chamie and Harge who slowly slid behind me as though to hide themselves.

They definitely weren't expecting this group of misfits when they asked to follow me out.

Tiara cleared her throat before pointing to another part of the wall, "If I may suggest, I think this quest might be the most suitable for each of our goals."

We turned back to see what she had pointed at and it was a quest that asked for the subjugation of an orc stronghold.

The location required us to travel out of the city for at least a day so I guess this quest would take at least three days. One day to go there, one day for the subjugation, one more day to come back.

Guess that means my two seniors will have to take a leave of absence from the school, which shouldn't be a problem since they were using this chance to improve their Iatromancy after all. Though Delmare would miss a day of class I suppose...

Orcs would also serve as a good enough challenge for our party as well, especially when we're up against an entire stronghold of them.

I looked at the others, "I think this one is fine. They're paying twenty Creas per Orc and an additional rewards for each Orc Mana Crystal that we bring in depending on the type of Orc it came from. And it's a D ranked mission which is just right for our group."

I have to thank Emilia for joining us for that since she's basically carrying our rank right now.

The others quickly agreed with the plan and we registered ourselves with the front counter to officially take on the quest.

Chamie turned to me, "Umm... So do we just head out right now?"

Odeta let out a bark of laughter, "Wahaha! Of course not! We've got to prepare for a trip first!"

I nodded, "While I am packed and ready to leave now, I don't think you two are. We'll be out of the city for at least three days so you might want to pack the necessities for that. Do either of you have a weapon?"

Harge shook her head, "We... Never trained in close combat..."

I turned to Katsuki and she bowed, "I will prepare a pair of suitable weapons for them, Mistress."

Chamie quickly waved her hands, "Eh? Wait! There's no need though?! We won't know how to use them!"

I shook my finger at them, "No, no. We'll be heading out of the safety of the city walls you know? What would happen if you were to get separated from us without a way to defend yourself? Don't worry, we're not expecting you to handle a sword or something, a simple club would also do."

The two girls seemed a little hesitant but nodded in the end.

Emilia clapped her hands together, "Perfect~Do we need to arrange a carriage for us or will Lady Aster's estate be supplying us with one?"

I turned to Katsuki again.

My Inugami maid paused for a moment before answering, "I believe if Mistress asks for it, the Madam will not hesitate to let Mistress borrow the carriage. But if I may be allowed to suggest, renting a wagon and a guide would be better for our situation."

I nodded, "In that case, can I leave the arrangement to you, Katsuki? As for supplies..."

Emila raised her hand slightly, "I'll take care of it. No way am I going to just eat dry rations on this trip."

Tiara spoke in a voice that was almost inaudible, "Please... Include some cookies too."

Emilia obviously heard it and she gave her a weird look but nodded anyway.

Yeah, she doesn't know the third Princess was standing beside her. I told everyone who didn't know about her that she was just a friend I met with some complicated circumstances and they just accepted it.

I had specifically requested that she keep her identity a secret which she was already planning to do from the start anyway so there wouldn't be an uproar over the third princess being here.

Odeta then turned to me, "Alright! Then what shall I do, Sister Aster?!"

"Err... How about you help Katsuki out and escort her?"

"Wahaha! Don't worry! Leave that to me!"

Delmare then tugged me on the arm and showed me her notebook that she had written, 'What about me?'

"Mmm... You'll also need to pack your things and request leave from the school as well right? I should be asking if you need help with that."

The Siren quickly shook her head, showing that she could handle that on her own.

That was when Lisa wrapped her arm around mine while a very familiar smile was on her lips.

"As for the two of us... I think I know the perfect place that we can go to wait for the others to get ready, darling~"

...

You know what? Let's go.

...

By the way... Her 'perfect place' turned out to be on one of the bar tables at the Guild where she laid on top of it while I rammed at her from above in full view of the patrons there...
