Chapter 173 Looking For Things To Do

The next day came and I was wondering what we could do today.

"Is Mistress not going to look for more sweets?" Katsuki asked while she helped me put on my heeled boots.

"Oh, I still want to do that of course, but I'm afraid that you three might feel tired of eating sweets with me."

Katsuki shook her head while tying the laces on my boots, "Mistress, I will never get tired of such a thing."

"Neither will I!" Odeta called out from the other side of the room, also dressing herself by putting on a simple shirt that bared her midriff with a jacket over it.

"Ehehe~ I also enjoy watching Aster eat your sweets~" Lisa giggled while openly ogling at me.

I scratched my cheek, "Unn… Well… I think it would be nice if we explored what other things we could do on the ship as well today, what do you girls think?"

Lisa tilted her head at me, "I'm actually surprised that Aster doesn't do more 'nobly' stuff."

I raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean by 'nobly' stuff?"

"Oh you know? Don't most nobles just spend their days partying or something?"

Ah, she meant those stereotypical things that nobles are portrayed to do. Well, I can't say for sure that I know what exactly Mother does or any other noble in the Kingdom for that matter so for all I know, that's actually what they do and I'm just an outlier.

Mother never did teach me any noble etiquette after all and it's not because of neglect either. When I asked her about it, she simply said that I could do whatever I wanted and left it at that.

I shrugged, "I'm not really a party person. So… Shall we go up on deck and see what else we could do today?"

"Shall we invite the Madam as well?" Katsuki suddenly suggested.

Oh yeah… I was so used to Mother having her own things to do that I thought she would be too busy to join us as well.

"That's a great idea, Katsuki! I'll go ask Mommy! Wait for me here!" I exclaimed, standing up the moment Katsuki was done with my boots.

I went out of our room and made a beeline towards Mother's room, knocking on her door to announce my presence.

"Ara, ara? Is that my dearest little one?" Mother's voice came from behind the door.

"Yes, Mommy. Could I come in?"

"Ufufufu~ Of course, my dear~ You can come inside anytime~"

I opened the door to see Mother seated at the dresser with her side facing towards me, her hair currently being combed by Mary who was standing behind her.

The only problem was that Mother was not wearing a shred of clothing on her, not that it was the first time I saw her in the nude anyway.

That means she must have got up from bed not long ago.

"Ufufufu~ What is it, my little one?" She asked casually, turning slightly to look at me.

"Umm… I was wondering if Mommy would join me and the others in exploring the ship today?"

"Ara, ara? To be invited by my dearest child, of course Mama would agree~ Could you close the door please?"

I was about to step out when Mother stopped me, "I meant for you to stay here, dear~ Close the door and help Mama with something~"

Wondering what she needed my help with, I did just that and strolled over to Mother where she pulled me down to her lap without so much as a warning.

Mother then hugged me close to her such that my head was smushed in between her bosoms and I could feel the weight of both of them pressing against the sides of my head.

"Ufufufu~ It's been a while since my child has let Mama pamper you, hasn't it? Mama misses doing this~"

Ehh… That's what Mother needed help with?

She started patting my head softly even as Mary continued to do up Mother's hair as though nothing was happening in front of her.

This would have been a completely wholesome scene if it wasn't for the fact that Mother was not wearing a single shred of clothing on her and there was a mirror in front of me that showed me everything.

"Umm… Could Mother get dressed first?"

"Ara, ara? But this is the best way for Mama to experience skinship with my dearest child, isn't it? If my little one would like to get naked as well, that would be even better~"

"Ah… Katsuki already spent quite a while helping me prepare this morning so I don't want to waste her efforts…"

"Ufufufu~ Then I suppose that can't be helped~ Maybe next time~"

Mother continued to pat my head while hugging me to her chest, sometimes even nuzzling the top of my head with her chin.

"Hmmm… My dearest, dearest child~ Ufufufu~ Mama loves you so much~"

"I love you too, Mommy."

Mother giggled and started making soothing noises while patting me.

"Madam, your hair is done," Mary announced, taking a step back.

"Ara? I suppose I should get dressed then. Help me pick a suitable dress to accompany my little one~"

The Trasif bowed and went to the dresser, picking out one of the clothes before returning to us with a form fitting, strapless black dress that had a slit at the side for the leg

Mother smiled, "That would do~"

I was finally released from her embrace and I stood back up to let Mother get dressed by her personal maid.

Mother easily stepped into the dress and allowed Mary to help her slip into the dress.

It was only when Mary helped Mother zip up the back of her dress did I realise that Mother was not wearing a bra.

At least she was wearing panties as Mary presented a pair for Mother to slip on before putting on a pair of black stockings that matched her dress.

With that, she looked formal enough to act like a noble but not too formal that she wasn't able to do any activity without looking out of place with us.

"Shall we, my dear?" Mother asked after she finished, stretching her hand out to me.

I took it and she guided me towards the door and opened it to reveal my friends standing on the other side waiting for me.

"Ufufufu~ I apologise for making all of you wait for me~ Are we all ready to leave now? Oh, what are we doing today?"

Katsuki, Lisa and Odeta all turned to look at me.

I scratched my cheek awkwardly, "Umm… We were just thinking of looking around the ship to see what we could do, Mother. Especially since most of us are riding this ship for the first time so we don't know what amenities there are…"

Mother then turned her head to Mary, "Ara? Not to worry my little one~ Would you kindly help us find out, Mary?"

"Of course, Madam."

I watched our Trasif maid head towards the wall and rang the bell to summon for the maid that was originally meant to serve us.

In less than a minute, there was a knock on our door and Mary opened it to reveal the Nekomata standing there.

Prifa bowed her head, "How may I help honoured guests?"

Without prompting, Mary asked her, "Do you have any activities where my Mistress and Madam could enjoy themselves in?"

Prifa straightened herself, "We have a theatre that hosts several plays and performances throughout the day. We also have an on board casino if dear guests are interested in testing your luck. Our ballroom also allows our noble guests to host parties and I believe one is being held tonight by a Earl from the Kingdom with an open invitation to every noble on board."

Mary turned to look at me and I didn't even need to look at the other girls to know that they definitely weren't interested in anything she had just listed off.

Frankly, neither was I.

The one I was most interested in was the theatre since I do enjoy art in most forms but I doubt most of my companions were interested in it so that's a no.

The casino may be something I might go to in the future but not now when Katsuki and Odeta were underaged. It would be terrible if either of them got influenced because of that.

Don't even get me started on the party either, why would I go to some random guy's party where I don't know anyone just to talk and eat… Some… Food…

Wait, wait… Since he's a noble… That means the food he was serving in the party must be high quality right?

And since it's a party, surely there must be desserts and sweets, right?!

And because there aren't any specialty shops here that specifically makes sweets, he must have brought his own chefs or his own batch of sweets, right?!

Ok, that does it, I am so going to that party tonight!

Ah, but that's for tonight… What do we do during the day though?

Most likely sensing our disinterest, Mary turned back to Prifa, "Do you have anything else?"

Prifa pursed her lips, "We do have other activities but they are mostly catered to the commoners… I don't think honoured guests are interested in the fishing activity that we have--"

"That's it!" I interrupted her. "Let's go fishing!"

Hey, not all of us have fished before so that would definitely be an experience! Plus, I've yet to see what the marine life around here is like so that's a bonus for me!

Who knows, maybe I'll even fish up a mermaid!

The others also seem to agree with my suggestion, though I suspect they might just be agreeing because I suggested it.

Oh well~ That's settled then! Let's go fishing!
