Chapter 301 You Don't Stand In My Shoes!

Villain Ch 301. You Don't Stand in My Shoes!

The tension in the air was palpable as Elio welcomed Allen's challenge with unwavering determination. He met Allen's gaze head-on, his eyes shining with a fierce resolve. He wasn't about to back down, especially when it came to Sophia.

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I will," Elio declared, his voice firm and resolute. He refused to let Allen's sarcasm or dismissive attitude deter him. In his heart, he knew that he would fight for Sophia, no matter the obstacles that lay ahead. He was prepared to go to great lengths to win her heart.

Allen's expression shifted, a sardonic smile playing on his lips. He seemed amused by Elio's fervor, as if he found it almost amusing that Elio was willing to challenge him for Sophia's affections.

"Great!" Allen chimed in, his tone laced with sarcasm. "I assume everything has settled then, and we can end everything here," he added, seemingly ready to put an end to the confrontation.

But Elio wasn't about to let Allen off the hook so easily. He reached out and held Allen's hand, preventing him from closing his helmet's visor. His gaze remained fixed on Allen's face, still filled with intensity.

"But...that doesn't mean I'll just let you go," Elio asserted once more. His voice carried a hint of warning.

"What do you want?" Allen's irritation was evident in his voice as he shot a sharp glare at Elio. He couldn't fathom why Elio seemed unable to grasp such a simple concept and insisted on placing the blame solely on him. Deep down, Allen knew that Elio's feelings were influenced by the opinions of others, particularly Liam and Darren. They must have spoken ill of him behind his back, tainting Elio's perception of him even before they had a chance to meet properly. And now, with Elio harboring a crush on Sophia, it seemed like Allen's reputation had only worsened in his eyes.

Elio didn't waver, despite Allen's defiant tone. He repeated his demand with unwavering conviction, his voice firm and determined. "I already said what I wanted. Apologize to her," he emphasized once more.

For Elio, it was clear that an apology from Allen was the key to mending the wounds in Sophia's heart, at least for the time being. He understood the importance of forgiveness and the weight it carried in someone's life. Sophia longed for Allen's forgiveness, and Elio couldn't understand why Allen found it so difficult to offer a simple apology.

Allen's unhappiness seeped into his response as he stood his ground. "I already said I won't apologize for something that wasn't my fault," he reiterated firmly. He couldn't let Elio pressure him into taking the blame for everything that had transpired between him and Sophia.

Elio's anger flared, and he couldn't fathom why Allen couldn't find it in his heart to forgive Sophia. He was convinced that forgiveness was the right path to healing, especially when Sophia already regretted her mistakes. In his mind, the solution was simple—just apologize. But for Allen, it wasn't that easy.

"I don't understand what made it difficult for you to forgive her," Elio snapped angrily. "How hard is it to forgive someone who already regrets her mistake? Just say 'I'm sorry for hurting you.' That's it. It's just a sentence, but you make things so hard."

Allen let out a sarcastic chuckle, exasperation evident in his voice. "Right. You don't stand in my shoes after all. So, you don't understand this," he muttered in annoyance. He knew that Elio couldn't fully comprehend the complex emotions that swirled within him.

Elio's frustration was reaching its peak, and in a moment of desperation, Allen decided to push his buttons even further. He wanted Elio to see that the situation wasn't as black and white as he made it out to be.

"You know what," Allen began, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "instead of just saying sorry, what if we escalated things a bit? I'll apologize to her and accept her invitation to sleep with her. I'll make sure to mention your name, so you can take all the credit and become a hero. How about that?" His words were meant to provoke Elio, to challenge the simplicity of his proposed solution.

Elio's eyes widened, shock and disbelief coursing through him at Allen's provocation. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Don't play around, Godlike!" Elio hissed angrily. His anger flared, and he resorted to using Allen's past in-game name as an attempt to assert dominance in the conversation.

But Allen was having none of it. He was fed up with Elio's insistence and his attempts to control the narrative. With a swift movement, Allen caught Elio's hand as he tried to grab his jacket, pushing it away forcefully.

"Do I look like I'm playing around?" Allen shot back, his tone sharp and confrontational. He was done tiptoeing around the issue, refusing to be treated like a puppet on a string.

Elio's displeasure was evident as he continued to defend Sophia's honor. "She is not a slut. Don't insult her," he said firmly, unwilling to let Allen's words go unchecked.

Allen's annoyance only grew, and he couldn't fathom why Elio was so insistent on making him apologize when Sophia herself had made advances toward him. His voice dripped with sarcasm as he retorted, "But she invited me to do it. Since you want me to apologize to her, why I can't take her invitation? She needs to pay for my forgiveness anyway." In Allen's mind, if Sophia was seeking his forgiveness, then perhaps Elio should be open to the idea of her actions having consequences.

"Liar!" Elio shouted, his frustration boiling over. He couldn't believe Allen's audacity and the provocation that came with them. The accusation struck a nerve, and Elio was unwilling to let Allen's manipulative words go unnoticed.

The atmosphere crackled with tension as Allen and Elio faced each other, their emotions raw and unresolved. Allen's annoyance was evident in his words, his frustration palpable.

"Believe it or not, it's up to you," Allen retorted, his voice tinged with exasperation. "I have no proof, and you'll take her side no matter what I say. So, what's the point?" He felt like he was hitting a brick wall with Elio, the truth of the matter lost in a sea of emotions.

Elio fell silent at Allen's words, not because he couldn't answer, but because he was determined to make Allen understand the gravity of the situation and make him apologize.

"Seriously," Allen continued, his patience wearing thin. "If you want to be with her, just be with her. You don't have to confront me about it." His words were tinged with tiredness.

But Elio wasn't about to let the matter rest. He wanted to settle things once and for all, to put an end to the animosity between them. An idea flashed in his mind, one that might just bring closure to this complicated situation.

"How about this," Elio proposed, his eyes glinting with determination. He pointed towards a distant lighthouse on the horizon. "We'll settle this in a race. Whoever reaches that lighthouse first is the winner." He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a coin, holding it up for Allen to see. "This coin will be our flagger."

Allen took a deep breath, contemplating Elio's proposition. He knew that this endless back-and-forth wouldn't lead to any resolution.

"Get on. Let's settle this."
