Villain Ch 15. Bloody War [Part 1]

The announcement shocked Mac and all the players in the town, sending chills down their spines.

Mac immediately came out of the item shop and looked up at the bright blue virtual sky, which had turned dark in an instant. It was as if a storm was approaching, and the players could feel the tension in the air.

Fear painted on the NPCs' faces, and some of the useless ones tried to escape and got into the nearby building. It was evident that they were trying to seek shelter from whatever danger was coming their way. The panic that spread among the NPCs was so palpable that it gave the impression of real panic, making the players feel as if they were part of a real-life event.

The Important NPCs that related to quests or vendors stayed in place and ducked down, but still within reach of the players.

Mac's heart was pounding so hard that he could feel it in his ears. His blood boiled with excitement and fear, and he instinctively drew his sword, ready to defend himself and the other players.

As he stood there, the sounds of chaos and destruction filled his ears. Monsters had appeared from nowhere, and they were wreaking havoc on the town. Mac scanned the area, trying to identify the source of the attack.

The monsters were low-level creatures, with levels ranging from 1 to 10. They were not particularly powerful individually, but their numbers were overwhelming, and they were more aggressive than the peaceful monsters that roamed outside the town's walls.

As the monsters approached, Mac could see the fear in the other players' eyes. Some of them were frozen in fear, while others were already fighting for their lives. Mac knew that he had to act quickly if he wanted to survive. One death meant -1% of his EXP bar.

With a battle cry, Mac charged forward, his sword glinting in the darkened sky. The monsters swarmed around him, their claws and teeth glinting in the dim light. Mac fought with all his might, his muscles straining as he swung his sword, taking down one monster after another. The VR system gave him the announcement of the EXP and items one after another.

The other players soon joined in, and together they fought off the swarm of monsters. The air was filled with the sounds of clashing swords and magic spells. One by one the bodies of defeated monsters turned into dust. Yes, dust, not shattered into particles like the other VR games

As the chaos and destruction continued to rage around him, Mac could hear the sound of something huge approaching. The ground shook beneath his feet, and the noise grew louder and louder until it was almost deafening.

Suddenly, the source of the sound appeared, and Mac couldn't help but shudder in horror. It was a mutant bug, easily three times his size, with razor-sharp claws and glowing red eyes. Its roar was so loud that it made the ground tremble, and the other players recoiled in terror.

But Mac was different. He had always been fearless in the face of danger, and this was no exception. While the other players scrambled to flee, Mac stood his ground, his eyes locked on the monster.

Mutant Bug <Level 10>

As Mac charged forward toward the giant mutant bug, he caught sight of a healer who was about to flee. With a quick movement, he grabbed her hand, stopping her in her tracks.

"Hey, wait!" he exclaimed. "Can you give me a buff?"

The healer looked at him in confusion, but Mac didn't give her a chance to respond. "Quick, I need buff!" he shouted.

Without hesitating, the healer closed her eyes and muttered a quick incantation. "Agility!"

[Your agility has increased!]

Suddenly, Mac felt a surge of energy coursing through his veins, and he knew that he was faster and nimbler than he had been before.

"Thank you," he said.

The healer answered him with a nod and ran away.

With a confident grin, he turned back towards the giant bug and charged at it, his sword held high. The monster responded with a furious roar, swinging its massive claws in a wild arc.

Mac dodged nimbly out of the way, using his newfound speed and agility to avoid the monster's attacks. He fought with all his might, using his newly acquired agility buff to dodge the attacks of the mutant bug. With each swipe of his sword, he landed a decisive blow on the monster. The crowd of players cheered him on, urging him to keep fighting. And Mac felt alive as if this was where he was meant to be.

As he delivered the final blow, the giant bug collapsed with a loud thud, its massive body quivering before it finally stilled. Mac grinned widely, exhilarated by his victory. He was about to turn around and acknowledge the cheers of the crowd when he felt a sudden pain in his stomach.

[Critical hit!]

[You have taken 150 damage points!]

[Warning! Your HP is below 20%!]

Mac's vision blurred as he looked down at what had impaled him. It was a black claw; unlike any dagger he had ever seen before. Blood soaked through his swordsman uniform, staining it a dark shade of red.

"Weak…" A male voice came from behind him. That voice sent terror into his blood.

Mac's mind was racing as he struggled to keep his eyes open. Desperately, he exerted all his energy and looked up to see his attacker. He could barely make out the figure in the dim light, but he could see the glint of the demon's red eyes.

The demon's black armor shone in the darkness, and the pair of horns on his head only added to his menacing appearance. The evil smirk on his face sent a shiver down Mac's spine. Blood painted the demon's face and armor.

He glanced at the demon's status above his head. Mac's heart sank as he realized that he was facing the main villain in this game.
