Chapter 704 Lightning Storm Sphere

Name:Undying Warlord Author:HideousGrain
Only beings who received an Invitation from the Lightning Titan were able to pass through his lightning storm sphere without sustaining severe injuries or dying.

Even beings on equal footing with the Lightning Titan would have a hard time inside the lightning storm sphere because the lightning storm that had covered an entire stellar system had become an attachment to the Lightning Titan's True Divinity.

It was much stronger now and if the Lightning Titan Soul Shard's information was correct, it would become stronger the more time passed. Dilan never got to know what the Lightning Titan planned to do with the lightning storm sphere, let alone what his future goals were, but it had to be something big. That was what Dilan figured when he looked at the humongous, planet-sized lighting storm sphere with his Mystic Eyes.

'A true bigshot, just as he showed off in the City of Trials…what a muscle-headed idiot!'

Dilan's interest was picked. He turned into a flash as he dashed straight toward the lightning storm sphere.

It would repel beings that were too weak to endure the pressure of the lightning storm, under normal circumstances.

However, Dilan was different. His speed was terrific and he burst through the repelling force without an issue. The Power of Destruction inserted in Lightning currents that were shaped into a spearhead emerged above Dilan. The silver lightning spearhead levitated above him, providing him the protection he didn't need from the repelling force of the lightning storm.

He would have overcome the repelling force nonetheless, but using the silver lightning spearhead made things much easier. Dilan would rather not waste too much time just to step into the domain of the Lightning God.

Only those invited were able to enter the Lightning Titan's domain…and the Undying, of course.

He would die and heal countless times while passing through the lightning storm sphere but that didn't matter.

Dilan was ready for the pain and he would make use of it as well. When else would he be given the opportunity to temper his body and his lightning affinity if not in the midst of a lightning storm that had covered an entire stellar system, nearly destroying it once it had matured.

He shot through the repelling force and passed through the surface layer of the lightning storm sphere. Gritting his teeth, he shrouded his body in a mixture of a layer created by the Flame of the Beginning and the purest form of lightning he could create for now.

The layers of flames and lightning currents merged as they covered his body like a second skin. Dilan closed his eyes and he focused on the stability of the lightning currents that covered his body.

'Fuck…they're way too potent…'

However, Dilan quickly realized that he was far from strong enough to endure the lethality and potency of the lightning storm sphere. It was not something a being at his level could handle, no matter how strong his Ring of Infinite Elements constitution was.

In the end, he hadn't been born in lightning, let alone raised to become a God related to lightning.

Since the Primordial Ascension had occurred, Dilan was always involved with the lightning element but that was mostly due to the ability he had obtained very early on. Afterward, the Ring of Infinite Elements Constitution and the Mantle of Elements semi-passive ability appeared, providing him with a stronger relation to the elements he had wielded before.

However, that was already everything because the Fallen Celestial didn't enhance his affinity toward lightning when he was in the City of Trials. He was merely taught how to use his Powers properly, rather than crudely throwing around bolts of lightning.

The teachings he had received created a tremendous misconception in Dilan's mind. He was not a genius when wielding the lightning element, but he was using most of his elements in a manner that allowed him to unleash their strongest prowess.

That was also why he could practice the Lightning God's Fist technique. Thinking about the technique, Dilan began to exert it subconsciously.

But instead of shrouding only his fists and lower arms in lightning, Dilan's entire body was soon covered in crimson lightning. Azure-colored flames merged with the crimson lightning to decrease the lethality the crimson bolts of lightning had. Yet, even then, Dilan's body was not ready to practice the final stage of the Lightning God's Fist technique that had been perfected by the Soul Shard of the Lightning Titan.

His body was not ready and he slowly crumbled…however, Dilan accepted that willingly. His eyes were shining brightly, azure flames and crimson lightning currents emerged from his eyes sockets as he digested everything he was currently sensing without discrimination.

Every technique he had learned in the City of Trials was able to produce stronger effects the higher the proficiency of the unleashed technique. That was also why lower-ranked techniques or the lower stage of a technique could create better results as long as the proficiency of the technique was higher than that of another technique.

It was rare that someone reached such high proficiency in a technique to be able to expose stronger results than by using a higher-ranked technique, but it was possible.

But that was exactly where Dilan's problem occurred. In the City of Trials, his proficiency in the techniques he had learned was considered 'perfect'. However, this assessment was only correct as long as he had been in the City of Trials.

Not only was his body constantly changing, but he was also improving, learning more things and he got his hands on more special traits.

It was only obvious that his altered body and mind wouldn't be able to exhibit a perfect execution of the techniques he had learned…after all, the things he had learned weren't good enough to unleash more than 100% of the technique's power.

And that was what Dilan was trying to achieve once again.

He wanted to regain his perfect proficiency with the Lightning God's Fist technique, the highest stage at that!
