Chapter 547 True Destruction Trait

"How about two treasures instead of one? Be a little bit more cooperative, please! The Eternal Darkness was already granted a treasure without even participating in solving any trials!!"

Dilan was trying to use the Eternal Darkness to leverage his gains.

It was a fact that the Eternal Darkness was granted a treasure from the City of Trials without doing anything at all. Dilan didn't really care about that, but if it could be used to his advantage, he would definitely not waste the opportunity!

"I want the Soul Weapon; Oricalm, and my Ring of Infinite Element's Constitution has to be upgraded. I want you to add the True Destruction Trait to my constitution!" Dilan requested without much hesitation. The latter was the most important because he was in dire need of the True Destruction Trait.

He could survive without the True Destruction trait but it would make lots of things far more difficult than truly necessary.

Dilan wanted to use the Queen of Immortality's technique without problems, and that was even more so the case for the Sword Style of the Destruction Sword Immortal.

He may have a perfect mastery of their techniques, but it was still bothersome for him to make rapid changes while exerting their techniques and Sword Style.

It took him almost a second to actually summon the layer of Destruction when using the 72 Slashes of Destruction Sword Style, let alone the five seconds he required to summon the smallest possible Destruction Domain.

Those who had trained him could tell that he required way too long to properly use either of the techniques because it was very important to unleash the full power of the techniques at any given moment, not after a rather long period of preparations.

Thus, Dilan wanted to change his innate talent by force if necessary!

"You can get Oricalm, but I'm not sure about the True Destruction Trait…" The Oracle replied, but Dilan intervened before she could say anything.

"Oricalm is just a small additional gift or rather a consolation prize I would need to slaughter Veilures a little bit earlier. As for the Destruction Trait, it's the most important for me! If I cannot get that, I might as well end the Trial of Power after the fifth round. There is no need for me to put in more effort if I cannot even get what I want!"

Dilan's words caused a change in the Oracle's expression. However, that change in her expression disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"Finish the next few rounds, while I check something," The Oracle said all of a sudden before her body erupted into a thousand golden particles.

Dilan watched this for a second or two until he was satisfied with the reaction he had received.

'Looks like I will get my True Destruction Trait.'

After he turned his attention back to the arena, Dilan collected the arrows and tang daggers once again. He finished off the struggling Goblin Shaman and stepped back, awaiting an even bigger horde of Goblins to rush in his direction.

However, what appeared in front of him was totally different from his expectations.

"From Goblins to Wolves, not even Wolfriders?" Dilan asked himself as he looked at the pack of 12 Wolves that emerged while the corpses of the Goblins dispersed.

Dilan felt that the Trials of Power were a joke and he used the bow and arrows once again to shoot the wolves.

However, before he released the first shot he noticed something in particular.

'Their fur is changing color!'

Half of the wolves turned black and they fused with the shadows around them, while the remaining wolves turned out to be Elemental Wolves with control of the Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Ice, and Metal element.

The Earth and Metal Wolves looked sturdy and solid like Rhinoceroses, while the Wind Wolf rushed through the Colosseum's arena like a cheetah with infinite Stamina.

As for the Fire, and Ice Wolves they prepared long-range attacks. Their bodies were shrouded in thin ice and fire armors that were strong enough to block off ordinary arrows.

"Maybe I underestimated you guys a little bit, but just a little!" Dilan shouted out loud while shrouding his right fist in lightning. He grasped one arrow, and transferred a portion of the Lightning God's lightning to the tip of the arrow.

Releasing the arrow, he saw it shoot straight at the Water Wolf that looked at the glistening violet bolts of lightning with contempt.

All of a sudden, a metal wall and an earthen wall shot out of the ground, blocking the ordinary arrow.

Dilan observed this without a change in his expression. But, he twisted his body when he sensed something from behind him and the corner of his lips curled upward.

'Got you!'

Two Shadow Wolves had emerged from the shadows behind him. They pounced at Dilan and were ready to tear him apart. Yet, they were taken aback when his entire body was suddenly shrouded in countless tiny bolts of lightning.

Dilan released some of the lightning toward the Shadow Wolves, paralyzing them for a moment. His hands moved to the tang daggers that were fastened to his belt and he slashed at their throats with rapid movements.

Afterward, Dilan rolled backward to make sure that the Fire and Ice Wolves attack wouldn't hit him...attacks that never came his way.

'There is no attack?'

Dilan could have sworn that the Ice and Fire Wolf would have made use of the opportunity to strike and attack. However, it looked like he was mistaken.

He retracted the bolts of lightning back inside his body where his Ring of Infinite Elements constitution reverted the lightning back to mana.

Without much mana, he had to control his usage of mana far more than he could have hoped for.

'Without any abilities or much higher stats this shit will get really cumbersome….'

Dilan was confident in his strength and abilities, but that didn't mean he could finish off all of his opponents with the snap of his fingers.

In fact, he couldn't even use most of his newly learned techniques yet.

The only thing he could exploit to the fullest was the Perfect Essence Cultivation techniques.

'Old man, I'm gonna exploit your technique as much as possible, no worries!'

With that in mind, he exerted the secondary function of the Essence Cultivation technique; Accelerated Mana Replenishment.

At the Perfect Stage, which was the stage Dilan had finally attained, after only… ten thousand years, he could accelerate his mana replenishment speed to an unimaginable degree.

"I didn't want to make use of this, but you guys are truly annoying!" Dilan shook his head as he saw more than a dozen fire spears and icicles raining down from above while the four Shadow Wolves emerged from the shadows around him.

Under ordinary circumstances, it would be quite difficult to defend himself against this.

But with the accelerated mana replenishment, things got a lot easier.

'Let's see how far I can go without cutting off my own feet!' He thought while exerting the lowest form of the Zephyr Steps movement technique.

His ankles swelled up and the veins in his feet bulged while his boots were torn to shreds as he shot forward.

'That's it!'
