Chapter 501 Reunited

Name:Undying Warlord Author:HideousGrain
"What the hell is that?!?" Clark and Lara exclaimed nearly at the same time as they stared in the same direction Dilan pointed to.

They looked high in the air, where they saw something humongous with even larger wings shooting through the sky.

"You gave me permission to bring my sister and a guest, you're not allowed to back out now!" Dilan declared before he jumped on top of one of the largest buildings in the military base.

Most buildings were rather small and they had a flat rooftops. That made it a lot easier for Rory to land somewhere.

'There is a large airplane track, land there, otherwise, you may accidentally break everything.' Dilan ordered the Red Dragon, who heed his order without hesitation.

Dilan jumped down to the ground again with a knowing smile on his face.

"If you want to meet our sister and the friend I brought, we should go to the airplane track," He told Lara, who was about to start crying out again.

"You…saved Marie? Really??" Lara asked with trembling lips as tears of joy trickled down her cheeks.

Dilan just nodded his head, he stretched out his hand to hold Lara's and they went slowly in the direction of the airplane track.

Meanwhile, Clark was left behind just like the hundreds of Ascenders, who had been ordered to arrest Dilan the moment he stepped inside the military base.

But who would be insane enough to actually try restricting Dilan, the most terrifying being they had seen in their entire life?

"Her brother is extremely protective…looks like he will take her away the moment he deems our base unsafe for her and your children if he didn't deem our base useless already," The voice of a mature woman rang out from behind Clark.

He turned around, just to see his mother standing there in a composed manner, wearing a military uniform. She was looking at the fleeting image of the siblings and a faint smile lingered on her face betraying her otherwise stoic expression.

"Mom! When did you arrive?" Clark asked, not expecting his mother to be here. She was a stronger Ascender than him, potentially even stronger than Dilan, or so Clark thought. He gained more confidence with the arrival of his mother, and he blurted out his thoughts, "With you and dad standing by our side, our military base will never fall! Lara's brother will also never be able to take Lara away from me!"

Clark's mother rolled her eye at his words, but she didn't say anything immediately.

"I arrived quite a while ago, and observed the situation, but that is none of your business. Your father is happy that Lara's brother never intended to injure anyone in the military base. It's good that you loved Lara and that you treated her with the respect she deserves, otherwise, everything would be burned to ashes by now," She said with a deep sigh, her eyes moving over to the airplane track. A humongous mythical creature that was supposed to only exist in fantasy novels and fairy tales burst through the clouds.

It dived down slowly and landed in the middle of the airplane tracks, where it roared out loud and pridefully.

Clark had just been about to say something to his mother in a retort and make it clear that Dilan was not as strong as everyone believed when he heard the terrifying roar of the Red Dragon that had just landed on the airplane tracks.

"T-Th-That is…a Dragon?!?" Clark exclaimed in terror and his mother could only nod her head.

"Looks like Lara's brother found a powerful friend," She remarked before she made her way to the airplane track as well.

"You better follow me, otherwise, Lara might as well be taken to a better place without you realizing it," Clark's mother suddenly added as she walked past her son.

Clark jerked out of his blanked-out state, gasped for air, and rushed toward the airplane track. He only slowed down when he found his wife and Dilan once again. Without saying much, he joined them, holding his wife's only free hand.

"Do you think the military base is safe enough for Lara and your child?" Dilan asked not long after they commenced their walk in a row of three.

He knew that it was necessary to take Marie to a place far away from their father and everything that reminded her about her husband and the suffering she went through in the last few years, however, the situation of Lara was a little bit different.

"The military base is very safe!! Only someone as monstrous as you can break through our defenses!" Clark said pridefully. He and his family had been very satisfied with the defensive measures they had constructed.

Their defenses had only been broken twice, once by a monster that left after breaking through the last defensive line, and the second time by Dilan.

"You do realize that there will be many monsters and other races with the same strength I have right now, right? Do you think that your family will be able to keep the defensive line updated and continually enhance it to ensure Lara's safety?" Dilan asked once again, his question only slightly altered.

Clark looked over to Dilan, who pointed at the humongous Red Dragon on the airplane tracks.

"That's Rory, she is a Red Dragon, and she devoured a Divinity Fragment if you know what that means," Dilan explained to his sister, waiting to let the words sink in.

Lara exclaimed at the sight of Rory. Her hormones wreaked havoc with her mind but it made both Dilan and Clark smile.

Dilan didn't rush Clark for an answer because he could tell that the young man was not actually able to give an answer that satisfied himself.

Instead, Dilan led Lara to the airplane track where Marie was already waiting. Upon seeing each other, the sisters rushed toward each other.

They started to cry and embraced one another before they slumped down on the concrete. Their legs had given in and it required Dilan to retrieve a comfortable couch and a table and a few chairs from his storage ring for everyone to sit down more comfortably.

Dilan allowed his sisters to pay more attention to one another, while his focus was on his brother-in-law.

"I would appreciate it if you could call the rest of your family. I want to bring Lara to Camsun. The entire continent has been conquered by me and it will be much easier for me to protect my sisters when I know that they're together and somewhere my people are located.

You and your family can come with me as well, and you guys can bring over as many of your people as you want, under the condition that they undergo a few examinations, of course!" Dilan issued a sudden proposal, stupefying Clark Mekaz, who had yet to digest everything that had happened.

Dilan didn't expect an immediate answer and considering the expression of Clark Mekaz and the way he had analyzed the young man, Dilan could tell that Clark was not the man in the house, let alone in the military base.

That was also why his eyes darted at the shadow behind Clark.

"What do you think about my deal?" Dilan asked the shadow that began to move all of a sudden, with an old man emerging seemingly out of nowhere.

"I don't know…it sounds enticing…but how strong are you really?!"
