Chapter 149: Invincible Tom Loses?!

Chapter 149: Invincible Tom Loses?!

Red Archer looked at the horrifying scene before him and was stunned. Was he being screwed right in front of his face? Even though he had witnessed many grand scenes, what he saw now left him dumbfounded.

"Am I blinking wrong, or what? Why is it that when that dumb cat over there raises its hand, all the Noble Phantasms I painstakingly pirated fly along with its movements?"

In the end, all the question marks in his mind condensed into a single sentence, "Is this thing really a cat??"

Red Archer wasn't the only one bewildered; Bai Song, who was spectating nearby, was also surprised. He never expected that Tom would treat this Reality Marble as his own and casually summon a bunch of Noble Phantasms.

Though he was astonished, Bai Song quickly accepted the situation. After all, comedic characters could do anything reasonable.

On the other side, Red Archer finally realized what was happening. He understood why C Chulainn's weapons remained in Tom's hands and were not being retrieved.

"This must be the type of Noble Phantasm that can steal others' Noble Phantasms! C Chulainn wasn't just lazy to take them back; he couldn't retrieve the weapons from Tom's hands!"

However, even though Red Archer knew the effect of Tom's Noble Phantasms, he had no intention of revealing this crucial information. What an incredibly unreliable teammate!

Realizing that he had been tricked, Red Archer was furious and clenched his fists. If Savage Dog was right beside him, he'd definitely give him a good beating!

Meanwhile, Tom was getting unhappy hearing Red Archer call him "this thing." How could he refer to a cat as a "thing"? Tom was not just a "thing"!

Originally, Tom only intended to insert a couple of swords into Red Archer's backside, but he changed his mind. He wanted to repay Red Archer for everything he had experienced, so he decided to fill Red Archer's rear with weapons!

Tom was determined to make Red Archer feel the pain!

With a wicked smile and tongue sticking out, Tom brandished the crimson lance and charged into the smokescreen created by the explosions without any hesitation. His decisiveness was unmatched.

On the other side of the smoke, Red Archer had just withstood the shockwaves when he saw a black figure emerge from the haze, holding a large stick in its hand!

Seeing this scene, Red Archer's forehead immediately broke out in cold sweat. He wanted to reach out his right hand to defend against Tom's undoubtedly powerful blow using the "Rho Aias technique, but... it was too fast, too incredibly fast, so fast that he couldn't react in time!

However, before he could make any moves, Tom had already dashed out of the smoke, his speed almost incomprehensible.

Faced with Tom's relentless assault, Red Archer had no choice but to abandon the idea of using his shield-type Noble Phantasm. There was simply no time for him to chant the true name of his Noble Phantasm. With things reaching a critical point, there was no time for using Noble Phantasms.

However, in this critical moment, Red Archer's attention was drawn to a large sword of door-panel size beside him. It had a shape resembling the rectangular greatsword of the Ghost Swordsman from a certain novel.

The sword was conveniently within his reach, and with a quick glance at Tom's position, Red Archer gritted his teeth and made a desperate decision. Even if this sword couldn't fully block Tom's attack, he had no other choice but to give it a try.

Resolutely, Red Archer reached out his right hand and pulled the large sword out from the ground. He then held it with both hands horizontally in front of him, using it as an improvised shield.

On the other side, Tom continued to cackle with his tongue hanging out, charging out of the smoke. His crimson lance was prepared to strike, aiming to deal a decisive blow to Red Archer.

However, just as he was about to deliver the final blow, his eyes fell upon the gigantic sword in Red Archer's hand, which was several times larger than Tom himself. It terrified him, causing his face to turn pale.

Tom's legs went weak, and in combination with his high-speed charge, he ended up sliding on his knees right in front of Red Archer. He promptly threw the troublesome red lance aside and, in a fluid motion, bowed down to Red Archer.

Tom's head thumped against the ground, making dull sounds.

"Thump! Thump! Thump!"
