As he pondered about it, he unknowingly stared at Ajiao who was chatting with Azhi. The girl, 17 or 18 years old, seemed to be exceptionally competent beyond her hard work and enthusiasm, a bit too capable.

Perhaps his eyes lingered for too long, Ajiao noticed it, and the two eyes collided. The girl smiled shyly, and averted her gaze. She looked no different from the teenage girl who yearned for love.

This picture fell into the eyes of Jiang Yufeng and Azhi, and they couldn’t help but look like Qiao Wen.

However, the young man who disturbed the girl’s heart was calm and collected from start to end, as if he did not know that he had gotten into a peach blossom debt.

Jiang Yufeng knew that Qiao Wen was good-looking, but he used to think that he was a timid and weak child, and no matter how beautiful he was, it had nothing to do with romance. Now it seemed that this young child would harm many girls in the future-well, boys too.

In fact, what seemed to be hours was only half an hour, and by the time they returned to the house, Chen Jianan, who was guarding the vacant room alone, was about to rebel.

Azhi looked at the ease he had a nail in his butt, and leaned to his side to tease him: “Anan, let me tell you that your younger brother was fancied by sister Ajiao. She might want him to stay here and be her son-in-law.”

It was just a pin on the full blown balloon: “Bullshit! My brother is only eighteen and has a great future in Hong Kong City, how can he stay here in this mountain nook to be someone’s son-in-law.”

Azhi was sprayed with a star on his face, reached out his hand and wiped it, and said with a speechless face: “I’m just kidding, why are you still cursing people?”

Chen Jianan rolled his eyes and said: “You can joke about me, but not about Xiao Qiao.”

The corner of Azhi’s mouth twitched and said. “I have never seen such a protective brother as you.”

Chen Jianan said: “My life was saved by Xiao Qiao, of course I have to protect him.”

Azhi nodded: “That’s true too.”

As the two were laughing and joking they saw Ajiao carrying a basket as if she was going out to pick wild vegetables. She walked up to Qiao Wen, pointed to the bamboo basket in the crook of her elbow, gestured a few times, Qiao Wen nodded knowingly and stood up.

The two of them in the background just watched the lonely men and women leave together, even abandoning the translator Azhi.

Azhi spread his hands, with a stubborn look: “Look, I’m not talking nonsense, right?”

Chen Jianan eyebrows frowned and showed a thoughtful expression.

For the next two days, in addition to addressing physical needs, Chen Jianaan remained trapped in the palm-sized floor, at most he was allowed to bask in the sun at the door for a little activity.

So he could only watch Qiao Wen follow Ajiao to pick and catch fish, and after dinner the two strolled around the village to digest the food. The two people who obviously did not understand the language, were able to get past the translator, Azhi, and communicate roughly with only gestures.

Chen Jianaan was very anxious to see them get closer as the days passed.

If there’s ever a chance that these two could be cowherd and weaver. He could not let Qiao Wen’s first love begin in the deep mountains of Vietnam, nor could he harm the good girl who helped them.

So after the two came back from the outside in the afternoon, Ajiao went to the kitchen to cook as usual, Qiao Wen went back to the house to rest. Chen Jianan called Azhi sneakily under the excuse of convenience and dragged him into the kitchen.

Ajiao, who was making a fire, saw the two coming in and asked with a smile on her face. “What’s the matter?”

Azhi turned his head and looked at Chen Jianan with a sullen face and asked. “What are you doing?”

Chen Jianan cleared his throat and said. “I am Xiao Qiao’s brother.”

Azhi was dumbfounded for a moment.

Chen Jianan urged: “Translate quickly.”

Azhi did not know why, but did as so.

Ajiao nodded with a smile.

Chen Jianan said, “When I get better, we will return to Hong Kong City. My brother has a job in his hometown, and it is impossible to stay in Vietnam.” After that, he raised his brows towards Azhi.

Azhi continued to translate with a wooden face.

Ajiao was still smiling like a flower.

Chen Jianan gritted his teeth: “Miss Ajiao’s feelings for Xiao Qiao are appreciated, but unfortunately, you and my brother really have nothing to do with each other.”

Azhi looked at him in astonishment.

Chen Jianan said without changing his face, “Translate!”

Azhi helplessly touched his nose and hardened his head to politely convey these words to the expectant Ajiao.

Ajiao was taken aback for a moment, but much to their surprise she laughed out loud, making Chen Jianan and Azhi both confused.

After laughing enough, AJiao spoke again, and Azhi nodded with an embarrassed expression, as if he wanted to dig a hole to hide in.

Then he turned his head to Chen Jianan and said, “Ajiao said you misunderstood. She did not have that intention for Awen, but she had never seen such a beautiful boy before, so she was very curious.”

Chen Jianan looked at the girl who was smiling at him calmly. At this moment, just like Azhi, he too wanted to make a hole in the ground to hide in.

“You are to blame for always talking nonsense.” He glared at the innocent translator.

The pitiful Azhi was really wronged by Dou E, and said angrily: “I was just joking for fun, but I don’t know you take it seriously.” Gritting his teeth, he added, “I’ve lost all my face.”

The two of them said goodbye to Ajiao resentfully and went back to the main house with bashful eyes.

Although he made a fool of himself at Ajiao’s side, he was still worried about Qiao Wen. After much consideration, he went to sit beside him.

Qiao Wen glanced at him and said, “Brother Nan, don’t jump around, be careful of touching the wound.”

Chen Jianan said, “I feel like I’m fine.”

Qiao Wen disagrees: “Don’t think that because the bullet did not penetrate your internal organs, it will be fine. It is uncertain whether you will have sequelae later”

“It’s okay.” Chen Jianan waved his hand nonchalantly, straightened up to show that he was really OK, then looked at him, and whispered, “Xiao Qiao, what do you think of Ajiao girl?”

Qiao Wen said: “Their brothers and sisters took us in, they are our great benefactors.”

Chen Canan said: “Other than that?”

“Other than that?” Qiao Wen turned to look at him strangely.

“It’s…” Chen Jianan pointed at each other, “I think you are very close to her, do you have any thoughts about others?”

Qiao Wen was stunned for a moment, then laughed out loud, “Brother Nan, what are you talking nonsense? We are already like this, I still have that kind of heart?”

Chen Jianan blinked: “Really?”

Qiao Wen stretched out a finger to poke his forehead: “Of course not.”

Chen Jianan finally felt relieved and rubbed his forehead and smiled: “It’s fine if you don’t have one, I don’t want to see you hurt by love.”

Qiao Wen shook his head speechlessly.

Azhi who was hearing their conversation behind the door finally couldn’t help but sue back the  situation: “Just now Anan also ran to Ajiao in the name of your brother, telling her that you have no destiny, let her think about it.”

Seeing Qiao Wen narrow his eyes at him, Chen Jianan pointed to the sky outside and said to him: “Look, Xiao Qiao, there are flying birds, I don’t seem to have seen them.”

Qiao Wen sighed inexhaustibly at this idiot.

But this could be regarded as having fun in hardship, at least slightly diverting the grief of losing a brother and the fear of danger.

Because Azhi had just been dragged into the disgrace, he was eager to spill his guts to Qiao Wen again, but before he could say anything, Ajiao suddenly appeared at the door in a hurry, and said anxiously: “There are soldiers searching the village. If they see you Chinese, you will be in danger. Go and hide on the mountain behind the house.”
