Chapter 128.1

Wen Chi did not expect to cry, although he was very angry with Ruo Tao for forcing him to do so, but then he also figured out that Ruo Tao was thinking of Shi Ye, and for Shi Ye’s sake, he did not want to make things difficult for Ruo Tao over this matter.

However, thinking is one thing, in fact he still feels aggrieved.

The memory of being tapped in the acupoints by Ruo Tao to feed medicine stuck in his mind like a needle, just touching it would bring back that extremely unpleasant taste, and he did not want to experience it again in his life.

The more he thought about it, the more wronged he became. Tears fell down his cheeks like beans and his almond eyes were filled with tears, which were reddened from the fire in the stove.

At the end, he was sobbing so hard that he was choking and his shoulders were shaking.

Wen Chi was alone in the bedroom, but Ruo Tao, Ruo Fang and other maidservants were guarding outside. So he was afraid of losing face and didn’t want them to hear his crying, so he covered his face with his hands.

However, it was not long before a steady stream of tears spilled from between his fingers.

He knew that his grievances came not only from Ruo Tao, but also from Shi Ye.

He had never missed someone so crazily before. He wanted to fly to Shi Ye’s side immediately, he didn’t even know if Shi Ye got the news that they had a child.

Wen Chi was sad for a long time when he heard a rustling sound outside the window.

He suddenly remembered the noises he had heard during the day, so he couldn’t even think about being sad anymore and hurriedly and quickly poked his head to look towards the window sill.

He saw that the window that was originally propped up with a fork had already fallen down but considering the charcoal fire burning in the bedroom, the maids did not dare to close the window tightly and still left a gap.

At this moment, the rustling sound came in through the gap.

It was only then that Wen Chi remembered that he had planned to tell Ruo Tao about what had happened during the day, but he had forgotten after he had been fed medicine by Ruo Tao, so he had left the matter behind.

“Ruo Tao?” Wen Chi hastily wiped away the tears on his face with the back of his hand and shouted loudly while getting off the bed and putting on his shoes, “Ruo Tao, come in.”

Wen Chi fumbled around for a while before putting a pair of shoes on his feet, and he got up and was about to walk out.

“Ruo Tao!”

“Eh!” The person guarding outside responded, it was Ruo Fang’s voice and she hurriedly in while saying, “Young master, what’s wrong with you? Ruo Tao just went to rest after standing here for half the night.”

Just as Wen Chi was about to speak, he caught a glimpse of a fluffy white tail dangling from the gap in the window.

He froze for a moment.

The white tail was dangling in mid-air, as if trying to squeeze in. After a while, a familiar fox head squeezed in from the gap but because the gap was too narrow, the fox’s head was stuck halfway in and couldn’t move.

Wen Chi: “…”

The fox turned its head towards him, its eyes that looked like little black beans immediately gave off a pitiful look and a whimper came out of its mouth.

Wen Chi didn’t know whether to laugh or  to cry, the sounds he heard not long ago were all made by this stupid fox.

He walked over and propped up the window with a fork pole. A’Gu, who finally regained his freedom, quickly jumped off the window sill. He didn’t know whether it was frightened just now or it was cold outside, but the little fox was trembling and vigorously arched his head towards Wen Chi’s feet.

Wen Chi squatted down and patted A’Gu’s head lightly: “Idiot, don’t you know how to come in through the front door? When did you learn how to flip through the window?”

With a pair of airplane ears upright, A’Gu grunted and rubbed his head against Wen Chi’s palm, his fur carrying a chill from the cold wind outside.

Wen Chi teased A’Gu for a while, then remembered that after Doctor Zhang diagnosed him as pregnant, Ruo Tao and Ruofang forbade him to touch A’Gu anymore and they couldn’t wait to take A’Gu away. If it came in through the main entrance, Ruo Tao, Ruo Fang and those maids might not let it in.

After thinking this and looking at A’Gu who was shivering from the cold, Wen Chi’s heart almost melted into a puddle of water.

He stood up holding A’Gu, wanting to hold A’Gu in front of the stove to warm him up.

However, as soon as he turned around, he encountered Ruo Fang walking over in a hurry.

“Young Master!” Ruo Fang said, “Are you alright?”

Wen Chi regretted making a big fuss just now, he pretended to be calm and nodded: “I’m fine, you can go out.”

The worry on Ruo Fang’s face hadn’t dissipated yet, she subconsciously replied yes,  and when she turned her eyes to see A’Gu hiding in Wen Chi’s arms, she was surprised and annoyed: “A’Gu, why did you come here? Hurry up and come down from Young Master’s arms!”

A’Gu was startled by Ruo Fang’s voice and his big fluffy tail almost swept into Wen Chi’s face. He buried his head in Wen Chi’s nape like an ostrich, as if he thought he would be invisible to Ruo Fang.

Ruo Fang knew that A’Gu would not take the initiative to come out of Wen Chi’s arms. She bit her lip and then stepped forward with a few strides, reaching out to take A’Gu away from Wen Chi’s arms.

Wen Chi noticed Ruo Fang’s movements and hurriedly turned to avoid her outstretched hand: “Leave A’Gu with me tonight.”

Ruo Fang shook her head and refused without thinking: “No, young master, you need to rest. If A’Gu is here, it will disturb you.”

Wen Chi said: “It won’t bother me. I’m a bit bored and he can keep me company. “
