Chapter 102.2

Ruo Tao said: “This servant smelled blood. But don’t worry, Young Master, this servant has already nudged the sleeping acupoints of Ruo Fang and the others, they won’t wake up for now.”

Wen Chi thought of Shi Ye’s miserable state and hesitantly wanted to hand out the things in his arms: “His Royal Highness seems to be seriously injured, you should go and have a look.”

“Young Master, this is impossible.” Ruo Tao took two steps back as if frightened by Wen Chi’s words. She waved her hands and shook her head like a rattle, “If His Royal Highness is seriously injured, you should take care of him. How can this servant replace you?”

Even Zuo Zhi, who had always served by His Highness’s side, had been punished with a cane for several days after she had accidentally touched His Highness’s  scales.

So, Ruo Tao didn’t dare to cross the line even more. After she finished speaking, she quickly ran away. She was afraid of being called back by Wen Chi and even Qingong as she fled.

Wen Chi: “…”

He stood there in bewilderment for a while before turning around and walking into the house.

A’Gu, who was guarding the bed, had already calmed down. He tilted his head and stared at the unconscious Shi Ye with his black eyes but his dangling fluffy white tail still exposed his restless heart.

Wen Chi shouted: “A’Gu.”

A’Gu sat crouched and didn’t move but his head whipped around and he twitched his little white ears. Then he jumped off the bed and ran in circles at Wen Chi’s feet.

Wen Chi was still holding the gauze and plaster in his hand, so he could only free one hand to hug A’Gu. He lowered his head and rubbed his chin on A’Gu’s head:  “Shi Ye is really strange, giving you such a strange name, why is it called A’Gu?”

A’Gu squinted his eyes and rubbed his head against Wen Chi’s chin and whimpered, like a little puppy.

Wen Chi stepped forward and put A’Gu on the ground in front of the bed.

A’Gu immediately jumped onto the bed, buried his face in Shi Ye’s neck and arched his head dependently.

Wen Chi put the gauze and plaster on the head of the bed and went out to call Ruo Tao to fetch a basin of hot water. He had no experience in taking care of others, so he could only follow Ruo Tao’s suggestion to wipe off the blood stains on Shi Ye’s body—anyway, Shi Ye Ye can heal by himself and his life will not be in danger anyway.

After Wen Chi wiped Shi Ye’s face and hands clean, he tried to take off Shi Ye’s blood-stained clothes.

During the whole process, Shi Ye was unconscious.  His clean face was particularly pale, his lips were bloodless and he was as quiet as a puppet with a broken string.

Wen Chi glanced at Shi Ye’s face and suddenly realized something. He paused while undressing him and then carefully put his index finger in front of Shi Ye’s nose.

Feeling it quietly for a while.

Although Shi Ye’s breathing was extremely weak, fortunately he was still breathing.

Wen Chi heaved a sigh of relief and was about to withdraw his hand when Shi Ye coughed violently. Then, a big mouthful of scarlet blood gushed out of Shi Ye’s mouth.

Wen Chi trembled in fright, subconsciously stretched out his hand to catch it and received a handful of warm and viscous liquid. His hands couldn’t hold the liquid, and most of it dripped on the pillow.

“Shi Ye! What’s wrong with you, Shi Ye?” Wen Chi raised his hands in midair. He wanted to hug Shi Ye, but was afraid of touching Shi Ye’s wounds.

Shi Ye seemed to be awakened by Wen Chi’s voice and barely opened his eyes. His eyes were a little unfocused and it took him a while to focus on Wen Chi’s face.

Wen Chi said anxiously: “Wait, I’ll go find Ruo Tao!”

With that said, he was about to go out.

But before he got out of bed, he felt a hand lightly resting on his wrist.

Shi Ye didn’t use any strength, probably couldn’t use any and he was so weak that even speaking was difficult: “Don’t ……”

Hearing what Shi Ye said, Wen Chi knew that Shi Ye should have his own plans, so he leaned over: “Then what should I do?”

Shi Ye took his hand away from Wen Chi’s wrist and placed it weakly by his side. He closed his eyes and his hoarse voice seemed to be smothered in his chest, “Just stay here, don’t do anything.”

Hearing this, Wen Chi hesitated for a while and simply sat on the side of the bed – just now he planned to wipe Shi Ye’s body but now that Shi Ye woke up, he could only put this idea aside.

After thinking about it, Wen Chi said, “Do you need me to apply medicine for you?”

“No need…” Shi Ye still closed his eyes and shook his head slightly, “I’ll just take a rest.”

Wen Chi let out an oh and then just sat on the edge of the bed in a daze.

Both of them were very quiet, only A’Gu couldn’t stop whimpering and squirming while curled up on top of Shi Ye, until Wen Chi couldn’t stand it anymore and pinned A’Gu in his arms.

“Be quiet!” Wen Chi patted A’Gu’s little head lightly, pointed at A’Gu’s face and taught seriously, “Your father is resting, don’t disturb him.”

A’Gu tilted his head and let out an innocent cry.

Wen Chi looked down at this little white face and his heart almost melted into a puddle of water. His eyes softened and he touched A’Gu’s head: “What a good boy.”

As soon as the words fell, Shi Ye, who was resting on the bed, choked on the residual blood in his mouth and coughed violently.

Both Wen Chi and A’Gu in his arms were startled by the sudden movement and turned their heads at the same time.

Seeing that Shi Ye, who was still weak a moment ago, opened his eyes wide open, glared at Wen Chi angrily and said, “Bengong haven’t become a father yet, don’t talk nonsense!”

Wen Chi: “…”

Why does Shi Ye sound like a girl whose reputation has been tarnished by someone……
