In the evening, the tribe members who went out hunting and gathering returned, and there was great excitement in the camp. Today was another big harvest, as Sa Lei and his companions not only captured several live brown fur animals but also many mothers with cubs.

The group decided to expand the animal enclosure fence tomorrow and build a separate fence for the brown fur animals, separating them from the baa beasts. Xiao Bu timely negotiated for the welfare of the waterfowl he raised, and Sa Lei agreed, and also provided a separate shelter for the waterfowl. Xiao Bu was happy and jumped around with his companions, and then ran to the water to catch small fish and shrimp.

The leader of the harvesting team, Tolokia, was injured and temporarily replaced by Xiumijia and another male as co-leaders. However, due to the increase in food types discovered by Qin Fei, they all returned with a full load.

After the cheers, Sa Lei and the others learned about what Qin Fei did in the tribe today. The honest Bante struggled to find words to express his emotions, and finally shed tears as he knelt in front of Qin Fei to show his respect to the ancestors and gods. Qin Fei hurriedly tried to lift him up, but Sa Lei shook his head to stop him.

He whispered in Qin Fei’s ear, “In Bante’s eyes, you are almighty, and he has no way to repay you. If you don’t allow him to show his respect, what will he think?”

Qin Fei sighed and stood there watching the excited Bante. After Bante respectfully paid his respects and got up from the ground, his body still trembled with excitement. He couldn’t believe that there would be a day when Carloti could see again. He nodded to Qin Fei and the others before hurrying off to the bamboo building where he and Carloti lived. Although Qin Fei had informed him that it would take some time to regain his sight, he just wanted to see his brother Carloti as soon as possible.

Sa Lei held Qin Fei tightly and his voice was filled with emotion as he said, “Thank you, thank you for giving us back a warrior. You know, losing sight means losing life for a warrior.”

Qin Fei patted Sa Lei and said, “Sa Lei, I have some ideas and I hope you can help me.”

Sa Lei let go of Qin Fei and looked at him with some confusion, waiting for him to continue.

Qin Fei continued, “There are a few injured males and elderly people in the tribe who have difficulty moving. I want to get some things that can at least bring them some help. What do you think?”

Sa Lei had a warm smile on his face and said, “Qin Fei, having you in our tribe is a stroke of luck for everyone.”

During dinner time, Qin Fei drew diagrams on the ground and explained the basics of prosthetics and crutches to Sa Lei and several other males. With these two things, those who had lost their legs could stand up again. Although they could no longer participate in hunting, they could still do some tasks in the tribe’s camp. Actually, Qin Fei’s goal wasn’t just to have these disabled people do work, he wanted these former warriors to find a new purpose in life and to live courageously.

The elderly had difficulty using crutches, so Qin Fei decided to try making a simple wheelchair since the device was too complicated. He explained his ideas to everyone and slowly sketched out the design of the wheelchair on the ground. Especially the two rolling wheels which amazed everyone.

In the following few days, during the daytime, Qin Fei, besides treating Carloti’s eye disease and teaching the children of the tribe, spent the rest of his time describing the various parts of the wheelchair accurately to Sa Lei and others. When Sa Lei and the others returned from hunting, they quickly got involved in making the wheelchair.

After several days of hard work, a finished wheelchair was finally born. Sa Lei sat on the wheelchair and tested it by slowly turning the wheels and manoeuvring in the camp of the tribe. Others looked on with great curiosity and were eager to sit on it as well. Seeing a group of males acting like children, fighting to sit on the wheelchair, Qin Fei could only shake his head and chuckle.

In the barbaric era, there were no smooth and wide roads. Otherwise, Qin Fei could have made some vehicles and have the brown fur beasts pull them. If they could see such a scene, what an excited expression they would have. Unfortunately, at present, they could only make two wheelchairs, allowing the elderly who were confined to the bamboo houses in the tribe to come out and enjoy the sunshine.

On the evening of the tenth day, what excited people the most was not that they had obtained more abundant food, nor that the elderly could come out to bask in the sun again. Everyone gathered after dinner and waited eagerly for one piece of news: whether Carloti could see the light again.

Although Qin Fei’s ability was evident and people did not doubt what he said, it was still miraculous to make a person who had lost his sight see things again. Starting from when Qin Fei said during the day that he would thoroughly wash away the mud that covered Carloti’s eyes after dinner, the whole tribe was looking forward to this moment.

Finally, after dinner was over, everyone naturally stared at the fire waiting for the moment to arrive.

Qin Fei had Carloti lie on the bed and used warm water to slowly wipe away the damp mud from his eyes. He gently massaged the acupoints around Carloti’s eyes with his fingers, helping him to relax his tense emotions. Finally, he softly asked Carloti to slowly open his eyes.

Carloti’s body trembled with excitement. At Qin Fei’s request, he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a blurry image, which gradually became clear. The first thing that caught his eye was a small male with fair skin, cuter than any female he had ever seen. He knew that this person was the god who protected the tribe according to the people of the tribe – Qin Fei.

At this moment, Carloti was so excited that he couldn’t speak. Qin Fei smiled at him and slowly moved away from his body. As Qin Fei moved, Carloti’s body trembled violently. Standing behind Qin Fei was none other than the teary-eyed Bante. Although Bante had taken good care of Carloti since he lost his sight, the two brothers still lived together. However, in order to make Bante completely give up on him and start a new life, Carloti had done many things to intentionally hurt him. Now, seeing his only family member again after regaining his sight, Carloti choked up and cried out Bante’s name, but he couldn’t say anything else.

Bante may be simple-minded, but he understood Carloti’s thoughts. He hugged his brother tightly and the two of them cried their hearts out. Even Sa Lei’s eyes were starting to turn red. They were all strong males who would rather give up their lives than not defend their tribe. But who would want to die? Who doesn’t want to live? Who doesn’t want their loved ones to live? In this environment of scarce food and constant danger, a male who can no longer see the light means death. And today, Carloti regained his sight, their warrior came back to life.

Priest Ruma held the sceptre with four embedded gems and solemnly waited outside the bamboo building. When he heard the good news from inside the building, he waved his hand and the tribe members who were waiting by the bonfire stood up respectfully and walked behind him. In his obscure incantations, they all bowed in unison towards the weak figure coming out of the bamboo building.
