Chapter 494: The Kids Move

Donquixote Family has become Clown Pirates' business rival in the underworld for years. Buggy could squish them anytime, but he didn't do it. He felt that his business wouldn't grow if they didn't have any competition.

Besides, he wanted to leave some enemies for Leo even if Leo might not fight Doffy. The current Donquixote Family is much stronger than the one in the series. After all, to compete in the current New World that has become much more dangerous than how it was in the series, they need to become stronger as well.

Doffy is smart. He recruited many people who were defeated by Clown Pirates, including the remnants of Beasts Pirates. His force is almost as big as an Emperor's force now, but their power is still lower, so he can't be an Emperor yet.

It can be said that he is a quasi Emperor now. He should be stronger than he was in the series as well now because he once fought Katakuri after Big Mom's death and it ended as a draw. But if they fight again now, Buggy is sure Katakuri can win because he has grown a lot under Clown Pirates' guidance.

Still, a stronger Doffy will be a difficult enemy for Luffy and Law. His force which has grown much stronger will also become a difficult opponent to beat for their crews. But Buggy won't help them because if they can't even defeat the Donquixote family, then they won't make it in the current New World.

Law has planned to make an alliance with Straw Hat Pirates, just like in the series. He chose them not only because Luffy is a D, but also because of Leo. As someone who has followed Clown Pirates since he was a kid, Law knows that Buggy won't let his son grow into a weak man, after all.

Besides, among all the rookie supernovas of his generation, the ones he knows to have the most decent characters are Luffy, Leo, and Zoro. Law and his crew never attacked civilians unless provoked, and so are the Straw Hats, that's why he prefers to work with them instead of someone like Kid and Killer.

Another consideration is that Buggy's son and step-daughter are in Straw Hat Pirates. Even if Buggy said he wouldn't send anyone to help, Law still believes that Buggy won't stay still. At the very least, Buggy won't let his children die, so they will be safe even if they lose.

Currently, Law and his crew are staying on one of the 1st islands. It's the most peaceful island among the 1st islands of New World which is also under Clown Pirates' control. He chose to stay here because he can get any information easily here through the Caribbean.

The Caribbean's information network is very vast and the most up-to-date. They know the Straw Hats have left Fishman Island the moment they step out of the island's bubble. They will also know where the Straw Hats are the moment the crew steps on any island in the New World.

Heart Pirates are a little different now compared to how they were in the series as well. They are stronger despite being composed of medical personnel just like in the series. After all, they also trained seriously in the last 2 years just like the Straw Hats.

They were trained by Legend Pirates, a crew formed by Clown Pirates' apprentices which is as strong as Charlotte Pirates now. Not only that, they also have a strong person as a member. He should have been dead, but Buggy saved him, and now his only mission is to stop Doflamingo.

This man is none other than Donquixote Rosinante a.k.a Corazon. He officially left the Marines for his mission to stop his brother. He left the moment Doflamingo became a Warlord because if he stayed in the Marines even as an undercover agent, he wouldn't be able to do anything to his brother.

So he left despite Sengoku's prohibition because Sengoku knew he planned to stay under Clown Pirates' wings. But Corazon still left because, for him, it is his duty to stop his only brother. He knows he isn't strong enough to defeat Doffy, so he chooses to help Law defeat Doffy together.

"If it's just against their main force, then I think we have a pretty good chance of winning, around 40%. But they have thousands of members while we and Straw Hat Pirates only have a small number of members each. Even if they are weak, they are weak by New World's standard."

"What a strange question. They've already worked with pirates, the Clown Pirates. But if you mean will they work with us, then I don't know. However, we have a chance because the Donquixote Family is their enemy too."

"Alright then, can I leave the talk with Dressrosa to you, Cora-san? I will handle the Straw Hat Pirates."

Corazon nods before they discuss about other potential allies. They need to have more options in case some groups refuse. Also, they need to plan how they'll attack. They just don't know that their plan will never work no matter how good it is because the Straw Hat never followed any plans.

Anyway, it's not just them who are thinking of toppling a big force in the New World. Some other Supernovas of their generation are also planning to attack big forces. They couldn't move freely for 2 years, especially the last year after the war.

Now they can move more freely and they have gotten stronger. So they think it's finally time for them to chase the top ranks. But they know they can't do it alone, so they make alliances with other Supernovas.

Some others choose to join the big forces instead of trying to fight them. But whether they are loyal or not is difficult to ascertain. They all have different strategies to reach the top of the pirate world and achieve their goals.

Currently, the ones with the biggest appetite might be Kid. He wants to go after Clown Pirates, or to be precise, Buggy the strongest Pirate. But obviously, his crew disagrees with it, even Killer doesn't agree.

Clown Pirates are still too much for the current them. So they change their targets to the weakening Emperor, Whitebeard Pirates. The old man is getting weaker by age and his crew has become more passive after the Marineford War.

Some subordinate crews also left, either to grow their power by being independent or retire. Yeah, some of their subordinate Captains have retired from their pirate lives. They couldn't keep up with the current New World's progress, so they chose to stop.

Kid & Killer make an alliance with Hawkins, Apoo, and X-Drake to attack Whitebeard Pirates. They have the confidence to win as there are 5 of them. They believe themselves to be strong enough to win, but they still don't know how powerful an Emperor's crew is even if it has gotten weaker.

But all these movements will make the New World a lot livelier. New World will get even more dangerous from now on and Buggy really anticipates it.
