Chapter 319 319: The Dungeon Of The Dragon Queen IV

Two of the Basilisk rushed at Cole as he moved forwards, meeting their charged by changing the [Gravity] around him. They started floating in the air as Cole used [Black Cut] releasing a gray wave of power that stretched all around him to reap the lives of the basilisks.

Another jumped, going higher than he expected, circumvention the [Gravity] field that he had created, Cole responded by slashing upwards using [Assassinate] to put an end to the Basilisk attempt at an ambush. Utilizing [Chaos Lord] Cole summoned a massive ring of Chaos energy around his body as he then solidified its edges, and started spinning it around himself.

The level of versatility he had with the [Chaos Lord] skill was almost unprecedented, anything his mind could think of, he could use Chaos for. The ring expanded, slashing into the trees and the basilisks, dividing everything in a 30 meter radius in half.

Cole ignored the stream of notifications he had received as he stepped forwards, and stabbed his sword in the head of the last of the basilisks still alive. This one had the forethought of leaping into the air to evade the attack, but it was not fast enough.

He quickly retrieved the Cores and noticed that together all of the basilisks, all one dozen of them had given him a 120,000 thousand exp. It was enough to take him over to the edge of the next level. Cole smiled, he did not remember the last time it has been this easy for him to gain exp, but that was probably because he was now in what you would call a higher leveled map.

Never the less he moved forwards, this time when he walked in between the trees he made sure to use [Gravity] to create a shield around himself. However there were no spikes coming out of the petrified trees. So Cole kept on moving for now without a definite direction, then he arrived at another area and the trees tried to skewer him again.

And just like Clock work another 12 Basilisks appeared. Cole raised an eyebrow at that, perhaps this dungeon was a lot more straight forward than he thought. He noticed that they were trying to surround him once again, and while Cole was not letting his guard down, he felt it was futile.

But at the same time he was not in the business of letting his enemies get an edge over him. These things could petrify him, at least for a few seconds. That was enough time to cause significant damage. And while he was stronger, Cole did not know the scope of their own abilities, so it was better to take them out now.

[Shockwave]

All of reality seemed to shake from that attack, as Cole channeled the skill by using bis body as the epicenter. Multiple waves of energy blasted out of his body, each and every single one of them vibrating at the molecular level. Everything the skill passed was turned to dust, all the way down to the Basilisks.

[You Have Reached Level 75! +150 to all stats! +70 stat points!]

This was easier than he expected, but now that Cole has gotten a basic idea of their strength he would stop wasting his food. He jumped up into the air and used [Gravity] to wrap around his body, shooting through the forest at extreme speed as his body wove through and past the trees, way too fast for anyone of them to attack him with their spikes until Cole came upon the next pack of basilisks.

He landed down hard on the back of the first one, an audible crack spreading across the forest as he used [Sin Eater] in a single second the basilisk underneath him had turned to stone. Cole ignored the notification that popped up for a second as he used the flat of his blade to slap another at the side of its head, sending the creature rolling into it's comrades before a tree brought it's momentum to a stop.

He grabbed a second that had leaps at him, used [Sin Eater] before dropping the petrified beast a second later. However this was taking too much time for Cole as using his body as a focal point, he used [Sin Eater] again. There was a huge suction force of supernatural proportions, so great that Cole was rooted in the spot as streams of Golden lights pulled out from every Basilisk in the vicinity into his body.

This time it took three seconds to turn everything around him to stone, but at least he got what he was aiming for. Cole chuckled as he felt the energy swirling around him and within him. This was by far his most powerful skill, and funny enough it was the most subtle, he wouldn't lie though, he had a lot of appreciation for it.

[You Have Used Sin Eater X12! +3500 To Dexterity, +3000 To Intelligence, +3000 To Perception! +12000 to Energy!]

[You Have Slain X12 Stone Forest Basilisks! +120,000 Exp]

Cole nodded softly to himself as he saw that, advancements to the next level was coming along nicely. Even if this floor would only give him a single level, that was already a lot as far as advancements are concerned, not to mention the stats that he has gained from the Basilisks.

*Roaaaarrrrrrr!*

Cole raised his head at the loud roar he had just heard, from where he was standing he could feel as if something was rushing towards his location, and it was a lot stronger than the Basilisks that Cole had just faced. But rather than wait for it to get to him, Cole would go meet it instead.

He started running in that direction, picking up speed as he got closer and closer until he showed up in a wide clearing with at least a hundred Basilisks, and right in the middle, resting at the base of a petrified great tree, was a basilisk that was much larger than the others, with a tag on top of its head.
