Chapter 259 259: Part 1: The Glade Wars IV

Cole had to give props to his opponents, they were not you run of the mill aspirants. Cole could also that they were part of a guild, which pretty much explains the strength. The person who had called him punk met his charge as they both locked swords in the air. However contrary to his attempt, he was unable to stop Cole's charge. After the initial clash and the shockwave it released, it was Cole's own momentum that carried them forwards as they flew through he air with Cole making sure to smash the darkling aspirant through every available tree he could find.

But this guy was not alone, but even at that, there would not be here on time to save him. Faster than anyone could even blink, Cole slid his spear under the jaw of his opponent, turning him to dust. Cole arrested his momentum with [Gravity] as he turned around about to press his attack when he heard the remaining eleven screaming out in pain as some held onto their throats and others the top of their heads.

That was the caveat about being a darkling, you're all connected and share one mind, though it does not look like they were all being led by one mind. Perhaps they were all connected to one mind, but had minds of their own? It should make a certain bit of sense. They were a hive mind, and seeing as they shared pain, it is obvious they could share other senses, like sight, smell, and hearing, in order words he was surrounded with now way out, Cole gasped.

"My God I'm fighting Pain!"

Of course if it was the real one or they said the same abilities as a certain Rinnegan wielding anime terrorist then for sure his goose would be cooked. However he was dealing with the same concept here, he had eyes all over him, the only way he would be able to deal with them is if he at least blocks enough of their line of sight, and take down some while others recover…. Or better yet in the end it would come down to just how fast he could move.

And with that an idea was born, Cole has not been pushed enough to the point where he knew how fast he was. He was strong and resilient now, but Cole was never a damage or tank character, he was a DPS character, heck he was aiming for the heights of it, delivering so much damage in so little time you'd call him the Flash God or something or was it God of the flash, or Yellow Flash or just Flash.

Either way He was fast, Before Intelligence became his highest leveled stat it was Dexterity. The ability to control his body and move it quickly and efficiently. It gave him 50% agility and 25% for strength and vitality. These were the amalgamation of stats that made dexterity, which was why in some gamed the dexterity stat was always paired with the Agility stat. Cole had the damn think at the Gold rank now…..he wanted to see what would happen if he chose to move with just the speed of his current body…. So he moved.

*BOOM!*

A Sonic blast, or a small yield warhead went off as Cole moved, his perception strained to the limit as his senses and body could almost not keep up with his current speed, he was hanging by a thread and was only able to move around due to his perception stat and remembering mainly where he had last seen the darklings before he moved. He attacked, no other skill was required as every swing of his sword now released condensed wind pressure that pretty much could called wind blades.

One movement and 6 of them gone, two had been in his path and had been blasted apart as he moved, the remaining three took the wind blades that had showed up faster than they could even react. Cole on the other hand was on his knees breathing really hard while the remaining darklings looked at him with looks of extreme shock and abject horror. He cracked his neck from left to right as he said.

"I almost forgot I'd gotten some stats into the Gold Rank…..damn they weren't kidding about this shit, I feel amazing! Don't you think so?" Cole asked as he turned to face the remaining five. He held his spear with it's tip point the ground while [Black Malakai] rested on his shoulder in the shape of a massive buster sword. Black chaotic lightning began to sizzle around his body as Cole glared at them, the remaining Darklings did exactly as their gut told them, they turned and ran.

It Cole was not going to let them go. His sword took on a grey hue again, wrapped in black as the reddish black lightning danced around the blade. But Cole was not done as an infusion of [Negative Energy] into [Black Malakai] caused a change as white grey lightning began to dance around the blade.

[Chaos Style: Negative Black Demon Cut]

It was mouthful, but Cole was enjoying naming his attacks, plus it was looking as if his attacks and skills were a lot more focused with his Inclusion of moves as he channeled their forms and excess energy into an attack that suited him more, letting him push the boundaries of the master of his skills.

The world flashed white as beam of bright grey, black and white energy entwined with each other crossed the distance, growing rapidly to be as wide as 200 meters long, swallowing up the land and the darklings within it, along with the Aspirants Darklings that just ran away from him. This was destruction non a scale Cole had never been able to bring to bear, and the worst part about that attack and the moves that went into it...they were just a casual sword swing as he placed just a 100 of units of energy attacked to the skill, and the negative energy too. What would happen if Cole wanted to get serious?

"This is SPECTACULAR! Wow! Just wow! Never have I ever seen destruction on such a scale, my word I'm scared for my life, what can I possibly do...you! You're the person who killed my sister? I can sense her heart somewhere on your delicious body."

Cole turned around lazily to see a massive half spider, half darkling, half woman thing behind him. She let off a pressure that was very different than anything Cole has seen in a while. He knew without a doubt that this was the core of the darkling nest dungeon here. Unlike the one that used to be in their Glade, the so called sister she was talking about, it seems this one was confident of it's own strength to move around…..this was the Boss round.

"Just as well, I would have had to eat her anyways if I am to become the sovereign of the valley. So human, join me or die!"
