Chapter 209 209: The 7th Wave IV

*Boom!*

Cole was never one to stand on ceremony, especially when someone needed to die. But of course this was going to be a lot harder than he thought. As a sight it was very obvious what this Baneling boss's ability was. Cole had flashed to his front, slashing out with Black Malakai only for the same barrier to block his strike without so much as a crack. In it's defense, and a counter attack came soon after as the barrier seemed to take on the shape of a fist and smash into Cole's center, blasting him backwards.

He arrested his momentum y stabbing his sword into the ground and dug his heels into the pavement, before blasting forwards again, this time relying fully on the power of his stats as his pitch black skin began to glow and the horns on his head began to shimmer in response to the power of chaos in the air. As opposed to the last time something like this had happened in the 3rd floor, the transformation was not even partial enough, however Cole was in a zone of absolute combat.

His true power came from his stats, sub stats, the knowledge and masteries attached to all of them. And that was a power that he could only fully utilize when [Wrath Drive] was activated, especially to this very level. Cole literally had his fingers on the pulse of reality, he could see and feel everything, and his mind was sharpened and focused to such an edge that he did not even have time to speak or say a single thing, all that he wanted to do and all he would be doing is putting an end to the barrier wielding Baneling in front of him.

Cole rushed forwards again, [Black Malakai] now held in his left hand in a reverse grip as the [Spear Of Life And Green] ended up in his right hand, it's blade pointed straight towards the barrier as Cole flooded it with his energy. His mind and body guided by both the [Black Demon Swordsmanship] and the [Longevity Spearmanship].somehow both martial arts falling well with each other as Cole stabbed out, the spear rotating within his grasp as he used one of it's skill for the first time.

[Point Green]

It was like punching through a balloon with nothing but a needle. The barrier popped creating a small shockwave as another barrier popped up, but this one was shaped in the form of a fist that blasted upwards. Cole took a step back, evading the strike by just a hair's breath as he blasted out a wave of [Gravity] from his body that made the Baneling take a few steps backwards, leaving Cole room to capitalize on as he used [Shadow Dance] to teleport behind the Baneling, [Black Malakai] slashing forward in a reverse grip.

[Black Cut]

The skill was heavily empowered by Cole's negative energy. A barrier popped up just in time to defend against it, and while it withstood the bit, an evidence of the fact that the Baneling had put every thing it had into the ability, the entire harder was pushed backwards. Much like a physical object, especially since it was in a bowl shape. It moved backwards, digging into the pavement as it smashed it's own creator in the face, smoothing the Baneling against it's smooth surface as if it had it's head pushed against a glass window.

Cole was not even in the right mindset to find that funny as he leapt into the air, making sure he was above the Baneling and it's barrier, then he came crashing down, increasing the amount of [Gravity] around his body as he smashed down onto the barrier. There was a loud crazy as cracks quickly appeared over the surface of the barrier, the Baneling hissed at him, but Cole was far from done as he raised both weapons and stabbed them down onto the surface of the barrier, at the same time increasing the amount not [Gravity] on both weapons to the point that even he was dragged down with them.

But Cole as nothing if not resilient and a lot more powerful than even he knew. Spider web cracks appeared all over the surface of the barrier. The Baneling seeing that quickly began to hiss at Cole, but Cole was literally no longer in the state of mind that would let him listen to what sounded like an attempt at communication from an undead. And perhaps if [Wrath Drive] was not activated with the trace amounts of chaos in the air, Cole might have tried to communicate with the undead, but right now, as far as he was concerned all that was in front of him was his enemy and he would not be stopping until that enemy has been stopped, so Cole increased the amount of [Gravity] and in doing so his shoulder popped. And so violently that it could be seen through his clothes, Cole's only acknowledgement of the pain was a grunt.

The cracked on the barrier increased rapidly to the point that it was covering more than half of it. Cole could see the eyes of the Baneling narrow in shock as it quickly reacted and sent a barrier spike upwards stabbing through Cole's shoulder and out his back. It was a rather nasty and very fatal wound…. Assuming of course the person that was attacked was not Cole.

But by this point Cole's [Demonic Constitution] skill was so powerful that nothing short of decapitation could kill him and let him waste a life, of course the barrier spike in his body prevented him from healing, but it was not enough to kill him yet, so in response the Baneling sent another one, this time through his stomach, making a bowl shaped hole in his center.

Cole's only response to that was to increase the [Gravity] skill, completely smashing through the barrier and landing on top of the Baneling who let out a wild screech and created a barrier under it's feet that pushed it forwards and away from Cole. Honestly Cole envied that ability if it was him he probably would have been able to do a lot more with it than the Baneling and it was definitely an amazing ability to have, however regardless of how powerful this damn Baneling was, it's ability was not stronger enough to stand up to Cole's arsenal of skills and abilities all that waited for it was death, and it was not willing to go down that easily.

Cole got back up to his feet and changed the shape of [Black Malakai] to that of a spear, he felt the sword show it's displeasure at the disrespect, but Cole did not care, he was not in the mood to care at all. The Baneling created a barrier 9ver it's body that reminiscent of an armor, then created a shield, or rather two shields over both arms that had spikes stretching out of it like swords. It yelled out at Cole using a series of clicks and hisses that seemed to make up the language that the underarm use to communicate with themselves in this world. Cole shrugged and for the first time since this fight started he spoke.

"I don't need to be a linguist or know your bloody language to know that you have just cursed at me and probably threatened me too. So I would do you one in return, get on your fucking knees and take your own head of, you know…. Commit ritual suicide or something. Because that would be a lot more pleasant a death than what I would give to you, because I'll make you scream then bury you under a fucking mountain of pain as is befitting of the name of your fucking former organization, now come and let's dance my darling."

Through it all, Farida and Cassandra had been watching the entire fight at what they would say was definitely a health distance away. And they were just as baffled as Irma who had somehow been able to arrive the moment Cole had smashed down with his [Gravity] and smashed through the barrier. They knew he was strong and they one more than few occasions had seen just what he was capable of. But this time, it was terrifying.

There was no gaudy show of skills like they had given, no not at all. Cole as precise, every move be made he aimed to kill, even the martial arts that he was bringing to bear with every attack he made, Cole was always and only aiming to out an end to his enemies. There was no dance or elegance to his attacks even if it might seem that way to many, Cole was a cold blooded killer without a hint of mercy to anyone who would be stupid enough to stand in his way...a tyrant in the making, a barbarian at heart….. and ultimately what few would notice that many others would not….. Cole was a freaking psychopath.
