Chapter 124 124: Introspection

[Master Cole, apologies for interrupting your gaming but you are needed up top sir.]

Just as Cole stepped into the Glade he heard Morgan's voice in his head. He turned around to look at the people busy running around as his temporary team stepped into the Glade just behind him. He shook his head, as he turned and smiled at them. He honestly had to go check in with his grandmother.

"I have to go up top for a few hours…. But given the time dilation effect for the 3rd floor it could he a day or two or three before you guys see me again. Once you guys meet up with Raven Nightmoon have him know that all five of you are now the ruling council for the Glade, you all should vote on what you feel is right. I'll be back to veto or argue about whatever choices you all have made."

"World Breaker!"

Cole turned with a bored look on his face as Raven Nightmoon rushed towards him, a pair of metal claws held in both hands as he came forty with a face etched with as much animosity as bird headed man could muster. Cole nodded at him and promptly logged off, his body vanishing in the very moment as Nightmoon's claws slashed into the empty air. He yelled out in anger absolutely pissed by what had just happened, but never the less there was nothing that he could do, not until Cole returned.

"Where is he? Where the fuck did he go?" Nightmoon asked as he turned to the others, sparks flying off his eyes as his rate seemed 9alapabale. Farida shrugged and answered him.

"He received a call, apparently he's needed up top. Says he would be back soon. And that we should let you know that all five of us are in charge a d we should vote on everything. Now if you would excuse me, I have a little bit more arrangements to make, ensuring that the Glade is functioning at full capacity is still pretty much my job, I really don't want to be on the end of Cole's ire when he gets back here and see that things are running as smoothly as he had wanted them to." Farida said as she excused herself from the rest of them.

They all watched as she left, and soon enough the rest of them dispersed until it was only Raven and Cassandra left behind. The birdman had turned all of his attention on the three eyed elf as he stepped closer to her and grabbed her arm tightly. With gritted teeth he asked her.

"what do you think you are doing? You should have fought for me, stood up against him. Yet I see the both of you stealing glances at each other, are you trying to betray me? Don't forget everything I've done for you and everything I am still doing for you! You should be on my side!" Cassandra had a sheer on her face as she tried to drag her arm back, but Raven had no intention of letting go as he held her even more tighter.

"I Have not forgotten anything! Hell even if I want to forget something you won't ever let me, and I don't have much of a choice do I? I and my brother's and my father's life is in your fucking hands. Now let go of me."

"Don't sound like that Cassie, you know how much I care about you…. You know I'm only doing all of this because I love you. I just can't stand you being near another guy or having another guy treat you like dirt, did you see how he treated you? You're to be worshipped, respected, loved! Don't worry, I'll become the mayor sooner rather than later and we will have everything we have ever wanted. Just…. Just don't abandon me okay?" Cassandra tried her best not to sneer.

There were too many factors to be considered here that was pissing her off, for one she didn't see anything wrong with the way Cole treated her, in fact she much preferred it. The World Breaker was a respecter of no man or woman, if you were in his way it did not matter what gender you had, he would remove you with immediate alacrity. And he would do so in the most painful and humiliating manner possible.

And as for the whole stealing glances at each other, that was complete and total bullshit…. Though she wouldn't deny that they had shared a moment when she had attacked him for his attack on her brother and guild mates. He had shown her mercy because she had risked her life to save his, if that were not the case he probably would have dragged her outside the Glade and take her head much like the way he had done to Raven.

But ultimately none of it mattered, not when she was still stuck to Raven. She looked up at him and she glared at him, he blanched, taking a step back as if shocked that she could actually be glaring at him, he opened his mouth to ask her what the problem was, but Cassandra turned away and left, too many things left unsaid in her mind. But regardless as she left, there was one thought that kept ringing in her head….. it would be impossible for Raven to become Mayor... Cole was much too powerful for that, but ultimately the Charisma that Cole exuded even when he was being a grade SS Villain was something Raven would never be able to come close to scratching the surface of.

Cole opened his eyes to the same underwater room, it was brightly lit and there was food placed at the side of the bed for him, along with a change of clothes. He hoped they did not have to stay here for long as he frankly speaking did not like this place, being underground was one thing, but being underwater was another. He and his grandmother needed to get fuck away from here as soon as possible.

Or he could just be overreacting and this place was not as bad as he thought it was. But never the less, it would be better if their stay here was not made too long. He got up and had breakfast/lunch or dinner depending on what the fucking time was, he could….. right he could just as easily check with his neural dome. Cole activated the Neural Dome's AR functions and saw the time to be 4:32 pm, so this was probably a late lunch or early dinner.

He checked the weather and browsed through for any sort of breaking news. Of which there were quite a few, but he didn't really have time to go through all of them at the moment. He did mark them though, he would come check on them as soon as he had a bit more time to himself. After eating he made his way to the showers where he took a hot bath, feeling relaxed as quite a significant amount of tension was released from his body.

He spent almost 40 minutes bathing, which was why it came as no surprise to him to see his grandmother already waiting for him, once he got out of the bathroom. He raised an eyebrow at her presence then shrugged as he went on ahead to get himself prepared. He didn't say anything to her…. Not yet at least, her dealings with pirates had been a shocking revelation, even more so when he realized that she was an actual shareholder in all things dark and criminal.

"You look like you have something you want to say to me, but at the same time you look like you'd rather not say anything." Cole shrugged his shoulders as he pulled on his pants, buckled it and then sat down to wear his socks.

"I knew you were dangerous, I just did not know how far those waters ran. And while I am no saint, part of the reason I had still left the family in this first place was because I did not want to have anything to do with the criminal empire my grandfather was so adamant about building. And yes he already shady dealings going on for over 6 decades, so imagine my surprise when I found out that while he was and is still struggling to be number 1 locally, you were not just international, you interplanetary and interstellar.

Honestly speaking grandmother, you terrify me. Because I am not sure that the face or the part of you I'm seeing is who you really are. And I'm finding it really hard to trust you, when I can't tell just how deep your deceits run. You are very terrifying old woman, way more than any other enemy I have ever faced." She looked up at him then said.

"Well Cole Kun…. What do you want to know about you Oba sama? Ask….. I'll tell you everything."
