Chapter 46 046: Howdy Partner I

Cole spawned on the ground, the blaze of the sun was unforgiving above him as he looked around. He seemed to have spawned in the middle of some sort of street….or he would have called it a street if the ground underneath him wasn't hard packed earth.

"Oi! Get the hell out of the way you dimwit!" Cole raised his head just in time to move to the left, letting a massive mechanical carriage driven by two robot horses pass by him. The driver spat as he passed by Cole, his yellowed teeth on display for all as the man arranged his cowboy hat.

Cole noticed he was standing besides a wide street. Every few seconds carriages that looked like the marriage between steampunk and the wild west drove past, dragged by automaton/robot animals and horses, but mostly horses. He looked down to notice he was dressed in simple black pants with black boots. A white shirt and a small brown leather jacket. There was nothing else in sight for him, which was strange as he had went into the second floor while he was inside The Morgan.

He looked behind him to notice a massive silver and white building. It had neon signs that read [San Louisa Cradle Bath and Facilities]. Cole raised an eyebrow at that, this place was unlike any of the other worlds in the main Titan Rising Online game, but going back to what the head scientist had told him in the past floor, for this event Each floor was essentially pieces of a different reality or universe, so probably this was essentially a whole new game and an entirely different set of rules to go off with it.

[Aspirant Cole [Moniker Pending] Welcome To the second floor! This floor is called the Wild Wild West floor. On crossing this floor all weapons and armor of just equipment that do not conform to the rules of reality for this floor has been placed in spatial storage until you cross into a place where they can be used.

Bound vehicles will have undergone qualitative changes to conform to the new floor. All augments will have been unslotted as this floor does not support them. All titles are still in effect, and all skills are still functional. Please head to your nearest cradle facility to complete the introduction for the second Floor.]

Cole read through the system prompt a few times, just to be sure he had not missed anything. He cursed out in annoyance, that explains why he was without any one of his weapons or his armor, it was extremely annoying as that armor had been quite integral to his combat style. He turned around and went into the building, crossing the threshold that looked up into an extremely wide building that seemed positively endless.

There were 3 meters in diameter holes dug into the ground and filled with a grandparent liquid that seemed to have crystalized over players. They all looked like something you would see from cryo chamber, but it was different, and there was a hum of energy in the air that Cole recognized as the constant buzz of magic.

He marched forwards, hurrying along as it seemed most of the cradles closer to the entrance had already been occupied. After ten minutes of walking at a brisk pace he finally found one that was vacant. He quickly slid into it going down until he was completely submerged.

He looked up through the viscous liquid he was in, watching as the top of the hole was sealed over. He could still breathe which was a staple of all cradle facilities, thankfully this place was still the same. He held the tell tale beeps of the system activating as system popped up in front of his face.

[Registering Aspirant Cole [Moniker]…. Please choose a Moniker before we continue…. Would you like see list of available Monikers compiled from your achievements and your current titles?]

Cole furrowed his eyebrows at this, it was a bit annoying if he had to be honest because he really didn't see why it was so important that he used a Moniker, everyone already knew who he was, getting a new name or would be a cheesy chunibiyou gamer title.

But in the end it seems he had no choice, but to pick a name thinking of a name from the top of his head was a little exhausting so he just chose to see the list that the system had to offer.

1. ShadowRaen001

2. Blackheart

3. World Breaker

4. Dark Lord

5. Raen Father

It was quite exciting to that the system did not disappoint when Cole expected it would dish out really stupid names. He couldn't help but cringing from them all, but in the end he still had to choose.

Cole looked through all of it, trying to see which of the names really called out to him or that he could relate to, and honestly one of them did. He really didn't care, but he had wanted to at least chose a name that meant something to him. He shrugged his shoulders, an action that was bit stressful as he was submerged in a particular viscous liquid. He decide to chose randomly.

[World Breaker Has been chosen as Moniker.]

[Cole [World Breaker] Night has been registered! Skimmer Class Luxury Starship Model Mona Lisa, Destination Morgan has been translated as Mechanoid Mount: Direwolf King.]

For Cole that was all he really needed as Makin sure he had a way to move around would help him more than anything else. He move up, watching as the crystal sealing the entrance slid away and let him through. Cole would check his stats, but he got the feeling he wasn't done looking at the systems introduction.

[This floor is a country wide! One of adventurers as these frontier lands holds secrets and treasures immeasurable. From floating landmasses, hidden valleys and great rivers, this world is one born of magic and magictech, giving rise to a great age of advancements.

However the frontiers to the west are a wild place, it is one of war between the two kingdoms of Verdant Viloria and Evergreen Caman. It holds beasts, death and opportunity in equal measure as both kingdoms lush west to expand their boundaries. But it's is a wild land, it's boons aside, it has drawing being the worst set of creatures to it's plains, canyons and valleys.

Alignment offers the following factions to join(temporary). Because of your current alignment only <Outlaw> and <Bounty Hunter> factions are available to you.]

Cole really didn't need to think too much, while his experience in this floor was shaping up to be a lot different than what he had experienced in the first floor, he was still going to go with serves him better.

[Faction Has Been Set To Bounty Hunter!]

[To discover the path to the 3rd floor you have to complete 10 bounty hunting quests of varrying difficulties! You can get your quests from the police station. This floor has two weeks until decomposition!]

No other promote were shown after that, but Cole was a bit worried yet at the same time ponderous. Unlike the first floor that had been one fuck test from the beginning to the end, this floor would give most people time to plan, arrange a fight with enough planning.

Hardly anyone would be sight with their pants down, which means they would be a lot more competition than the first floor. And people won't be caught off guard as bad as it was on the first floor, plus this was an extremely expansive world, and even if they say it's just as wide as a country, for the 5 million players assuming that number hadn't been reduced massively with the first floor decomposing, there was enough space and secrets and time to become total and legit badasses.

"I have to step up my game." Cole muttered to himself as he started walking towards the entrance of the cradles facility. First ting he had to do was get himself some equipment that coincided well with this floor. Then he had to get a definite sense of direction, complete a few quests, maybe get into a few PVP skirmish to understand just how things were different here than on the first floor, and then once that was all said and down, he would be ready to ready to pursue the next step of the Sierra Corp quests, because right now it wasn't who could get to the next floor the quickest that mattered, it was who would get more access to Sierra Corp and the secrets to what was coming and the best way to exploit and become more powerful…. This was why Cole was here.
