Lin Yi, after glancing in the direction where the people left, gestures to Black Glove and they return to the cell.

The door is shut tight once again.

Changes to the fourth floor happened quite drastically, carrying everyone with it. It feels like it was no time at all when suddenly, all rules have ceased to exist, and enemies and dangers lurk in every corner.

It may have only been scuffles between Nianluo and some other powers at first, but with the chaos allowed to develop unchecked, it has grown catastrophically.

Some have scores to settle. Some just hated someone else and this was their chance. Some simply enjoyed the show. The chaos is spilling over to other zones, completely engulfing everyone——Except Doctor.

Jiang Yiyi turns another page amidst an eruption of noises. He looks towards the source for a moment, shakes his head a little, before going back to reading.

Lunatic is still sitting by his legs on the carpet. He looks agitated; his eyes occasionally swivel towards the source of the noise.

It is getting louder by the second. Closing in.

This only further unsettles Lunatic. After looking towards the noise once more, he finds himself looking back up at Jiang Yiyi.

“Go. Do not kill.” Jiang Yiyi says, quite casually.

Lunatic’s lips curl a little. He shakily gets up, and walks towards the door.

And from here on, the ruckus can no longer go forward. It is forever stopped beyond Jiang Yiyi’s cell.

With the fourth floor in turmoil, some cannot help being delusional, and heading for the only exit, the only connection of fourth floor to the outside world——Where the teleportation devices are——Yet never mind returning, their bodies are never seen again.

Not that it could actually deter the prisoners’ desire for freedom——Yes, there have been no successful escape stories from Stargaol ever, but there have been no instances of prisoner riots, either.

Knowing something is unfeasible is not enough to stop a small group of prisoners with a great desire to escape.

This also means quite a lot of prison officers are tied up.

While everything is pushing along on fast forward, Lin Yi quietly leaves Black Glove’s cell.

This riotous condition on the fourth floor will not last long. Lin Yi knows too well how much energy Stargaol has, so he has no time. He is in a hurry.

Practically as soon as he left, Jian Si was thrown into Black Glove’s cell by Ye Wang.

Ye Wang, meanwhile, is not accompanied by that prison officer recently following him everywhere; instead, he waits at the door for a moment, his head looking towards where Lin Yi left. He goes ‘tch,’ then turns his gaze to another direction.

He stares at the air, towards where Doctor’s cell is, for a long time.

During this grand orchestra with many conductors fighting for control, only one person remained in the backstage at all times.

Doctor has kept his promise, never making contact with any single person on the list of special prisoners.

Right now, however, Ye Wang still finds himself most wary of him.

As all the others – Lin Yi, Black Glove, etc., had already had their actions predicted and countermeasures taken. Only the Doctor has no corresponding information or any advice on dealing with him from the superiors. He’s completely clean, and, just like his attitude of non-involvement, leaves him untouchable.

Ye Wang is certain he will not do nothing——In fact, he was originally anticipating him to break their deal by this point already.

His inaction so far is surprising, which, in itself, isn’t that surprising, given that he’s the Doctor after all.

What Ye Wang is concerned about now, is how he plans for this to end.

What is it that he wants? Ye Wang, staring into the distance, feels like he can see Doctor’s unchanging poker-face right there.

The limited response from Stargaol is, of course, not for the sake of Black Glove, and definitely not Lin Yi. These people, famous or infamous in their own ways outside, remain simply prisoners or, otherwise, just another person——Regardless of their many identities.

Instead, their goal is on Doctor. The danger about to pass onto the fifth floor.

As soon as Doctor makes a move, no matter how small, insignificant it is, it will leave a trace, a trail that they can follow. They will use his chain of motivation and logic to refine that file on him that has remained blank after all this time.

Stargaol is most familiar, and proficient in this method. By analysing the footsteps he leaves behind on every move, they can construct a frame of reference for his actions, dissect him from soul to flesh. Then, identify weaknesses, formulate action plans, and, if needed, execute them to keep him under control.

Stargaol keeps an insane amount of Extraordinaries on the bottom floor. The fact that they have had zero escape incidents so far is evidence of its efficacy.

Yet, Ye Wang finds himself worried.

Doctor is not like any other Extraordinary. He is normal, behaving so normally, one wonders if they are Extraordinary at all.

All Extraordinaries are clinically insane. That is a fact.

It is a drawback they suffer for their talents, the counterbalance to their abilities.

But, the Doctor?

He doesn’t remotely feel insane.

This strangeness about him makes Doctor far, far more inscrutable.
