Chapter 34: Upgrade

*Yawn*

Jake yawned as he walked out of the car. After busy absorbing the crystal, he truly felt sleepy. After all, he had to focus on the energy that was pouring into his body little by little.

It was something that needed intense concentration.

“You can sleep inside after dinner.” Kyle glanced at Jake and shook his head. “If your parents are here, they’ll surely scold you for needing others to take care of you.”

“Both of our parents are not in City A.” Jake turned to look at Kyle. “And it’s something I think to be very good.”

Kate stayed on Kyle’s shoulder while he carried the few transparent crystals. He could guess that the little cat still required some time before she could fully absorb these crystals into her body.

Her current space was already convenient enough as of now.

“Meow.” <I'm hungry."

Kyle looked at the little cat on his shoulder and nodded. "Are you also hungry?"

Kate's eyes lit up as she meowed, "Meow, Meow~"

“Alright, I’ll prepare warm milk for you.”

Milk...

Kate felt like flopping to the ground when she heard that answer.

“Meow....”

She didn’t hate milk, but asking her to only drink milk was definitely a big no. She will get bored after just a few days.

Well, she just had to wait until she grew up enough to eat other meals.

Their dinner was short because Dylan also wanted to continue absorbing the crystal. With Jake yawning continuously and Kyle was also a bit impatient, they all finished their dinner in less than 5 minutes.

They were simply so fast!

She naturally followed Kyle to his bedroom because her small bed was here. She saw Kyle climbed on his bed and sat cross legged before holding the crystal and busy absorbing it.

She blinked her eyes.

Kate shook her furry head and walked to her bed. Kyle had already placed the rest of the transparent crystal on her bed. It seemed that he hoped she will not disturb him when he was busy like this.

Kate curled up her body and slept peacefully.

It was already the middle of the night when Kate woke up again. She blinked her eyes and looked at the dark room around her.

‘Why did my sleeping schedule turned awry like this?’

Kate was speechless, but she looked around.

At this time, she realized that the sudden feeling of fullness from before were all gone. This made her excited as Kate touched the transparent crystal that was placed not far from her with her paw.

They melted quickly into her body.

Then, Kate sensed something inside her changed.

She blinked her eyes and turned to look at her tail. It felt that the space inside had grown much bigger than before.

Her upgrade was actually an upgrade of the space’s size?

Can’t it give her some kind of awesome ability for her to fight?
