Xia Tian finally grasped just how big the banquet hall was on the eleventh floor when he entered. No wonder it was built like a mushroom. The environment here was unparalleled as everything was made entirely out of glass. However, these were not normal glass panels; these would be intact even if an elephant walked over them.

Due to its strategic location, there was a commanding view of the bustling city of Jianghai from the inside. The decoration of the banquet was even more luxurious and the person standing before him was his cousin sister Qingxue.

Qingxue was beyond beautiful on that day. Even Xia Tian was attracted by her beauty despite being able to see her every day.

His aunt was very beautiful and Xia Tian had always believed that she was the most beautiful person in the world since he was a child. However, his aunt was beautiful in the aspect of purity and elegance. However, Ye Qingxue was oozing out a completely different vibe. She had the beauty of a fairy.

Even the angels in heaven were no match for her.

“What took you so long?” Ye Qingxue smiled gently as she walked towards Xia Tian. Everyone was shocked by what she did. Everyone had walked towards her to greet her, yet she was the one who took the initiative and walked towards this man.

Ye Qingxue did not personally greet even Wang Nianlin and Huo Wennu, and yet, she had chosen to personally welcome this man.

One must admit, Xia Tian’s get up for the day was rather simple. Ye Qingxue’s friends and acquaintances who were not rich were all in their most expensive and cleanest outfits that day. However, Xia Tian’s attire from top to bottom did not seem to exceed even a hundred RMB.

Wang Nianlin’s expression turned gloomy as he felt a great threat. Although Ye Qingxue had never accepted his pursuit, she had always been very indifferent to everyone else. However, Ye Qingxue was incredibly sweet and kind to this man and she had even walked forward to greet him.

“I got into some trouble on my way here.” Xia Tian smiled softly. Bingxin and Huo Wennu had walked towards him as well.

“I see you still have some moral decency left in you.” Bingxin stared at Xia Tian as she whispered. Her words had confused Xia Tian but he remained silent. Ultimately, he was in the wrong as he was the one who activated his Insight and had even blurted out what he saw.

“Qingxue, this is…?” Huo Wennu realized that Bingxin and Ye Qingxue spoke familiarly with this man. The answer to her question was everyone wanted to know right now.

They had no idea who this young man was as his appearance had left Prince Wang stranded in public. Wang Nianlin stood there awkwardly as he held onto the bouquet of flowers passed over by Ye Qingxue. He had no idea if he should just keep standing there or leave.

“He’s my boyfriend, his name is Xia Tian,” Yeng Qingxue said gently. The crowd was astounded the instant the words left her mouth. The goddess Ye Qingxue already had a boyfriend. It was extremely big news.

Her boyfriend appeared that instant Wang Nianlian confessed to her. The entire scene was simply too embarrassing.

Wang Nianlin felt extreme shame as if all of his organs were about to be punched out of him. It was an extremely unpleasant feeling. His current situation was extremely awkward and all he wanted then was to dig a hole and jump into it.

“Ms Ye, why didn’t you tell everyone that your boyfriend would be attending your birthday party. All of us single men here had our hopes up for nothing. I, Sun Fugang had even confessed to you earlier.” The second-generation rich youngster that had confessed to Ye Qingxue, Sun Fugang spoke. His words had completely nullified Wang Nianlin’s awkwardness as his words had basically declared that everyone in the venue had a thing for Ye Qingxue. Hence, Wang Nianlin had no reason to feel awkward anymore.

Wang Nianlin nodded at Sun Fugang and he opened his mouth again when he obtained a nod of approval. “Ms Ye, why don’t you introduce your boyfriend to us. What does he do and where is his father working? Perhaps we’re acquainted with him.”

His words pointed directly at Xia Tian’s weakness. It was only natural they knew that Xia Tian was not from a rich family based on his attire. Hence, he had picked Xia Tian’s most sensitive topic to talk about.

Wang Nianlin was very satisfied upon hearing his words and took note of him. Soon, everyone else started joining in the conversation.

“I don’t need you all to meddle with my problems.” Ye Qingxue’s expression turned cold all of the sudden. She knew that these people were doing it on purpose. The reason why she requested Xia Tian to act as her boyfriend was that she wanted all of these boys to give up on her. However, she did not expect these people to start picking on Xia Tian. After all, no one knew Xia Tian as much as she did.

“Qingxue, do you mind telling us where Xia Tian comes from? Why is he wearing his casual clothes to attend your birthday party?” Wang Nianlin had already seen Xia Tian as a threat and his anger skyrocketed, even more, when he saw Xia Tian’s attire. He came from a very rich family and he did not mind gifting Ye Qingxue a sports car or a mansion.

From everyone’s perspective, he was often known as one of the almighty four princes of Jianghai. He had prepared every detail of his plan for this very day. The reason he chose to hide the diamond ring within the bouquet of roses was that it was very romantic, and Ye Qingxue would have been pressured to accept his ring this way.

He was definitely a pioneer of such a method, and it could be counted as romance as well.

However, his entire plan had been disrupted with the appearance of this little b*stard. Not only was his plan ruined, Ye Qingxue had even publicly announced that this little b*stard was her boyfriend. His dignity had been totally shattered.

All this while, the famous celebrities outside of his university would even greet him when they saw him, let alone all the girls within the university. All those big-shot merchants and officers would be incredibly courteous to him no matter what.

He had everything handed to him on a silver platter since he was young. He was tall, handsome, and would dress in branded clothing. Here, he was forced to compare himself with a poor and simple-looking man, Xia Tian. Xia Tian could not even compete against him with anything other than having flawless skin.

Despite all of these, Ye Qingxue had decided to be together with a young and handsome man instead of him.

“Oh right Qingxue, he’s really disrespecting you right now for wearing such attire on your big day.”

“That’s right, that’s right. How dare you compare him with Prince Wang.”

“Whoever is here today is without a doubt better than him. He’s just a young and handsome man.”

Righteousness would often stand on the stronger side and in everyone’s eyes, Wang Nianlin was the stronger one. He was the rich young master that stood above all. Furthermore, Xia Tian was just a poor b*stard and would not stand a chance against Wang Nianlin.

All of them were saying so because they wanted to be on Wang Nianlin’s good side. If Wang Nianlin had really become friends with them, it would be of great help to their family business. Their parents would definitely praise them if they found out about it.

A series of judgments followed.

“Everyone shut the f*ck up. He’ll wear whatever he desires and it has nothing to do with any of you. My attire is quite casual as well. Why don’t you guys comment on me instead?” Huo Wennu finally exploded. She was not someone easy to mess with and everyone would subconsciously lower their heads when her eyes met theirs. None of them dared to look straight into her eyes.

Even Wang Nianlin, one of the four princes of Jianhai could only scoff it off.

“Alright. Since everyone has arrived, let the party begin.” Bingxin pulled Huo Wennu as she told the crowd, trying to ease the situation.

“Wait up. Qingxue, this is your flower.” Wang Nianlin placed the ring back into the flower and presented it right in front of Ye Qingxue. Everyone saw that he placed the ring back into the roses.

If Ye Qingxue were to accept the flowers, this would mean that she had accepted Wang Nianlin’s pursuit. However, she could not accept the flowers as well as she had already accepted it earlier. Wang Nianlin would definitely put up a scene if she were to reject his roses now.

Xia Tian then held Ye Qingxue’s hands and smiled gently. “I’m sorry, my girlfriend can only accept roses from her boyfriend, me.”

“You? I wonder what kind of present did you prepare for Qingxue.” Wang Nianlin was looking down at Xia Tian. Xia Tian did not seem to have brought any present since he was wearing so casually as he had no place to store his present at all. Furthermore, Wang Nianlin was the only one who gifted her flowers.

Although Ye Qingxue had stated that Xia Tian was her boyfriend, Xia Tian came without any flowers. Everyone started doubting their relationship.

Speaking of gifts, everyone looked at Xia Tian once again. Since Xia Tian had come here to celebrate Ye Qingxue’s birthday, it was unlikely that he did not bring any present at all.

“He has already given me the present earlier. I like it very much.” Ye Qingxue panicked. She knew that Xia Tian did not have any money and even if he did have a gift, it would be improper for such a venue. She did not mind what Xia Tian would give her at all.

Xia Tian would be discriminated against by everyone if he were to take out his present. It would be unfair for Xia Tian. She invited Xia Tian here so that he could stop these pursuers for her. She had no intention of hurting him at all.

“Oh? What did he give you? It doesn’t matter what he gifted you in the past, it’s your birthday today. Shouldn’t he at least give you a bouquet of flowers?” Wang Nianlin mocked as his gift was a bouquet of roses and a diamond ring. It was the best gift in this setting.

“A gift? It’s only natural that I have it.” Xia Tian smiled gently as he took out a bracelet. It looked so simple that it was no different than a two-dollar cheap bracelet.

The crowd laughed, especially the lot that wanted to befriend Wang Nianlin the instant Xia Tian took out his gift.

“Hahaha. I’m dying of laughter here. You dare to pick a trashy bracelet to show to the crowd? Even a bouquet of flowers is better than this.” Wang Nianlin seemed to have witnessed a comical incident. A self-proclaimed boyfriend of Ye Qingxue had decided to gift her trash as a birthday present.

Ye Qingxue was worried that Xia Tian would be embarrassed as she immediately butted in. “I love it. I love the things you give me, no matter what they are.”

Xia Tian smiled gently as he watched everyone scoffing at him. He wrapped the bracelet around Ye Qingxue’s wrist. He then bit his thumb as a droplet of rose-red blood landed on the bracelet. The droplet turned into countless little droplets while it was absorbed into the bracelet. The hemoglobins then vanished into thin air.
