Chapter 36: Worry For Me

"Sung-ha..?" Aria tried her best to muster up strength in order to move her body, but it was to no avail.

She used her tired eyes and shifted the line of sight to the man who now had a sense of defeat printed on his expression.

She could only stare at the man who was gripping the bed rails tightly as he watched over the sleeping woman.

Behind him was Arin, who sat down on a chair. She also had a worried expression, but her actions were still calm and collected.

Aria repeatedly blinked to recover her sight, which was itching to close thanks to the intense exposure to light.

Sung-ha hadn't even noticed Aria's awakening yet.

From a glance, Aria could see that she was now lying down on a different environment than the rooms she was used to.

There was the scent of medicine and alcohol wafting through the room. It wasn't unpleasant to Aria, who considered it to be relaxing and calming.

"Wake up, damnit.. Wake up!!" Sung-ha called once more.

"I'm awake, though?" Aria said, effectively shutting the man up.

How could he not hear her?

Sung-ha's eyes widened upon hearing the slightly raspy voice of Aria after going through a long period without proper access to water.

He was stunned, but then broke out of that and went to hold Aria's hands in his instead.

"You're.. you're awake??" Sung-ha realized that the woman had woken up, but her movements were still minimal.

At most, she could only lift her finger up.

She made a peace sign, signifying that she was indeed, fine, and with no more slumbering time.

Judging from Sung-ha's conduct, Aria must've fallen for quite a long time.

Sung-ha expressed his excitement, and then brought a stool to come over and talk to Aria.

Arin also did the same, and now there were two Hunters who sat by Aria's bed.

"What happened, damnit?! All of a sudden, you collapsed inside your room. You were only discovered because Jin-kyung went to call you for dinner. We all thought it was something medical related, but the doctors said that the problem was not within their range of expertise- What do they mean by that?!"

Sung-ha had a complex glare plastered over his face. On one hand, he was discontent with the doctors who ended up providing Aria with nothing but a room as a form of treatment. On the other hand, he was mad that they could do nothing but watch as Aria didn't wake up from her slumber for days.

They were suddenly powerless at this newest member's disconnection with the world.

"I.. had a super long dream. I also don't know why..?" Aria answered, rubbing her eyes and stretching her neck lightly to relieve stress.

"A long dream?" Sung-ha asked.

"Yes," Aria nodded. "A long dream,"

Nostalgia flashed inside her eyes as she recalled her master.

She still remembered the contents of the dreams because her mind was completely aware in all three representations of the timelines: the past childhood and life memories, the present condition, and the future predictions.

She made sure that her memories were neatly sorted and not jumbled up.

"It was a nice dream,"

"Nice for you. For us.. we thought that you've been affected by some strange disease. The doctors couldn't give you an evaluation,"

'Well, of course they can't.' Aria commented.

The phenomenon she experienced was too uncanny and unnatural to be true. It was the work of someone's influence- and one that used magic or their Mains to invade Aria's mind and create such a troubling dream.

Aria gripped her fists as she remembered her master's touch.

'Master Zehell..' Aria's gaze softened.

She was able to recall her most beautiful moments.

Arin, after hearing that Aria had woken up, immediately went to her side as well and gave her words of comfort.

"How are you feeling?" Arin asked.

"Fine. I could jump from a fifth story building and I still would only suffer some light injuries," Aria said.

"Tch! Then there's no need for this hospital room anyway!" Sung-ha abruptly left in a flash, not looking back.

Aria didn't care about the consequences she now had to consider after being a team member.

However, this collapse was also not her fault, right?

Aria got out of the bed after receiving help from Arin.

"Don't mind Sung-ha. He might seem like a jerk, but he was the first one and the one who worried about you the most,"

"En, I'm aware," Aria answered, letting her body do some stretches.

Aria was familiar with Sung-ha's character and how it worked.

"How are the others?"

"Well, the others are still operating like usual. It only gets bad when some goes on a rampage. For example, this aggressive man right here," Arin answered.

"Hmm... How many days have passed since I blacked out?"

"Three to four days,"

"That's a lot!" Aria was expecting an entire day spent of sleeping, but not as much as four days.

Arin sighed.

"That's why Sung-ha was worried. Despite his rough attitude, he's definitely one of the kindest among us," Arin said.

Aria nodded in agreement.

"For now, why don't you reunite with the team members?

Not everyone went to check up on Aria in the hospital.

"I will do. But I'm too weakened right now... Let me rest for a little bit," Aria spoke with a soft voice, tired and soulless.

"Well, alright then. If you have any inquires, or need something, call me," Arin said.

She was about to leave too, but Aria unexpectedly woke up.

She bid her farewells before leaving.

Once again left in the room alone,

'The dream was bizarre, but it was nice.' Aria thought as she blocked her mouth in order for a yawn to not escape fully.

She went back to sleeping one more time, having an unlikely expectation such as wanting another dream.

However, that sadly did not happen.

The next day, Aria woke up to Sung-ha and Arin bringing her refreshments.
