Chapter 19: Nothing but Time

After administering the medicine to Long Jingze, Xiao Qingyang placed him in a soft and warm nest that had been prepared specifically for him. He carefully covered him with a small blanket.

"You can rest here for a while. Once I finished my work, I'll take you to have something delicious," Xiao Qingyang said with a smile to Long Jingze.

Long Jingze didn't hold any hope for Xiao Qingyang's promise of delicious food. As the imperial prince of the empire, he had tried all kinds of delicacies. How could there be any delicious food on such a remote planet that he hadn't tasted?

Compared to the delicious food Xiao Qingyang mentioned, Long Jingze was actually more curious about what he was going to do next.

Long Jingze watched as Xiao Qingyang went out for a while and when he returned, he had various kinds of plant flowers, leaves, and roots in his hands. He arranged them on the ground in a certain order and then took out various bottles and jars, which puzzled Long Jingze.

What is this guy planning to do?

Long Jingze knew the types of these plants. They were all the lowest-grade plants that could grow in the wild without the need for cultivation by a plant cultivator.

Usually, these types of plants were only used by alchemists to refine potions, and they needed to be combined with higher-grade plants to refine higher-grade potions. However, all the plants Xiao Qingyang brought back were of the lowest grade, without even a single plant of higher grade.

In fact, Long Jingze could also imagine that this place was too remote and sparsely populated. Even ordinary people would probably be unwilling to live here, let alone plant cultivators. How could there be higher-grade plants appearing here, unless the little guy in front of him was a plant cultivator himself?

But from Long Jingze's perspective, Xiao Qingyang was at most just of age, even if he had great potential and talent, he would still be a beginner now.

Moreover, if this guy really had such high potential, he wouldn't have ended up on such a planet.

Besides, although Long Jingze wasn't an alchemist, he had seen many devices used by alchemists to refine potions, and they had nothing to do with the bottles and jars in front of Xiao Qingyang.

However, as time passed and Xiao Qingyang's actions increased, Long Jingze felt a burning pain on his face.

Just a moment ago, he was sure that this little guy had nothing to do with plant cultivation or alchemy, but now he was being contradicted right in front of him.

Although it was his first time witnessing such a scene of potion refinement, the young alchemist's creations were indeed potions, bearing the exact same taste as the healing potion he had been compelled to drink not long ago.

It was surprising to discover that the potions were all concocted by the young alchemist himself. Moreover, judging by his refining technique, he was evidently well-acquainted with the process, displaying unwavering confidence. Each step seamlessly flowed into the next, and despite occasional failures, his success rate was remarkably impressive considering his age.

Never had he expected to encounter such a young alchemist on this secluded planet devoid of any visible human presence. If this were in the Imperial Capital, it would undoubtedly ignite fierce competition among the noble families.

Furthermore, as the prince of the empire, Long Jingze had witnessed numerous scenes of master alchemists refining potions, yet none of their methods or equipment resembled those employed by the young alchemist before him.

Could this be a secret weapon specially nurtured by a particular family?

If such a gifted alchemist were to reside in the Imperial Capital, it would undoubtedly attract the covetousness of many. In such a scenario, his potential premature demise before fully maturing would be a plausible concern, which would explain why he had been sent to such a remote planet.

While Long Jingze was engrossed in his thoughts, Xiao Qingyang swiftly concocted several vials of healing potions. After setting aside the one meant for Little Golden Dragon, he listed the rest for sale on his online store.

No sooner had he listed them than Xiao Qingyang heard the notification sound of an order, followed by witnessing his potions being swiftly sold out once again. An uncontrollable smile adorned his face.

It was truly a joyous and prideful moment to witness his own concoctions being appreciated by others.

"Little Dragon, look, my potions have been sold again. Isn't it impressive? Once the star coins from this batch come in, I can purchase even more plant seeds," Xiao Qingyang excitedly shared this good news with Long Jingze.

The star coins earned from the first batch of potions had already been received, prompting Xiao Qingyang to promptly purchase several types of plant seeds he had set his sights on. Once the star coins arrived again, he would be able to acquire all the necessary plants for producing low-level healing potions.

Of course, the process of crafting low-level healing potions would still take a considerable amount of time. After all, the seeds he had purchased needed to be cultivated first, and he had to ensure there were enough seeds for subsequent cultivation. Only when he possessed a sufficient quantity of plants could he attempt to create low-level healing potions.

Without ample plants, he might not even have enough resources to experiment and refine the formula for improving low-level healing potions.

Nevertheless, Xiao Qingyang felt no urgency. After all, he had nothing else but an abundance of time.

Chapter 20: Opening a New Spirit Field

The sun shone brilliantly, a gentle breeze brushed past, and the sky stretched out for miles. Even the air carried a delightful essence, creating a beautiful afternoon.

Xiao Qingyang received his first package since arriving in this world - his beloved plant seeds. He felt the excitement building within him ever since he received the delivery. It amazed him how efficient this world was, even delivering seeds from a distant planet in less than a day.

"Grandpa Du, I want to open up another spirit field. What do you think about removing the walls around the yard?" Xiao Qingyang discussed with the old butler.

Their current residence had a spacious yard, most likely enclosed by the previous occupants. Similar structures dotted the surroundings, though they now stood empty.

As a hybrid of elves, dwarves, and cultivators, Xiao Qingyang had always cherished nature and detested confinement. When he first arrived on this planet, he didn't pay much attention to the yard as he was still unfamiliar with the world and the butler. He hesitated to make any unreasonable requests at the time.

But now, circumstances have changed. His yard was brimming with spirit plants he had transplanted from the forest, leaving no room for cultivating new ones. He had to find another place.

Even though they were the only two people on this planet, and everything belonged to them, Xiao Qingyang still felt inconvenienced by not being able to oversee his plants at all times.

Furthermore, since they owned the entire planet, the yard walls became even more unnecessary.

The old butler knew about the young master's growing interest in spirit plants, and he wholeheartedly supported it. He wished he could fulfill all of the young master's desires and would never deny his requests.

Fortunately, when they arrived on this planet, the old butler had brought along a versatile robot, foreseeing the possibility of being unable to care for the young master properly. Now, the task of demolishing the walls fell upon the robot.

Xiao Qingyang not only had the robot demolish the walls around their yard but also the walls surrounding all the nearby structures. Suddenly, his field of vision expanded, and without stepping out of the gate, he could directly see the natural scenery outside.

When he had a yard, Xiao Qingyang thought it was already filled to the brim. However, with the walls gone, it felt as if the entire planet lay before him. His "yard" expanded countless times, and he no longer had to worry about lacking space to cultivate his spirit plants.

With his spirit plant seeds in hand, Xiao Qingyang joyfully ran to the side of the non-level spirit field and opened up a new one, ready to cultivate low-level spirit plants.

The spirit field he opened was quite vast, but for now, he only had a few seeds. Nonetheless, Xiao Qingyang believed that one day he would fill this entire spirit field and continue to open up more fields. Ideally, he wanted to cover the entire planet with spirit plants.

Long Jingze had been following Xiao Qingyang all along, observing his every move. As he looked at Xiao Qingyang's jubilant expression, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disdain. Unbeknownst to him, a smile had crept onto his own face.

Xiao Qingyang planted all the spirit plant seeds into the soil, infusing each one with a bit of natural energy. Instantly, tiny sprouts emerged from the once barren ground. Caressed by the gentle breeze, they seemed to be greeting him, appearing especially adorable.

Long Jingze widened his eyes in disbelief. He couldn't help but rub his eyes vigorously, but the sight before him remained unchanged, confirming that what he saw was real.

Raising his small paw, he rubbed his eyes once more, realizing that all the seeds had indeed sprouted simultaneously. However, the little fellow in front of him showed no signs of mental exhaustion.

After all, the process of spiritual plants from seed to germination requires the most mental energy, and it was also the most difficult step during cultivation.

Most pharmacists could only make one seed germinate instantly at a time. High-level alchemists may be able to make multiple seeds germinate simultaneously, but they could only cultivate up to five at most.

But what did he see now? What he saw was that all the seeds on a small piece of spiritual field were germinating at the same time, and the little guy in front of him didn't seem exhausted at all, unlike what would be expected from depleted mental energy.

Long Jingze looked at the oblivious figure beside him, and a complex expression crossed his eyes. Once again, he pondered whether his arrival on this planet was a stroke of luck or misfortune.
